Lucy Qhuay Mayanna! I miss you too, lovely! Where have you been? How are your holidays going? Tell me stuff.

Hell yeah! THE ANGEL'S SHARE! I HAVE IT, I HAVE IT! :D

I'm gonna start it. So nervous, though. :S

P.S. Have you heard Axe's Legacy book is going to be about Zsadist? We talked about this and agreed his journey was finished already. What more freaking drama can Ward put in there? Phury, though, would be a great choice. He still has lots to resolve. Bah!

Lucy Qhuay Hello sunshine! ;)

I'm sorry if I sound crazier than usual but I just watched Dracula Untold and I'm still thinking about Luke Evans's hotness and how sad it was Vlad lost everything he loved, when he was just trying to protect it.

By the way, is it true dear Luke is gay? If so I'll have to borrow Kingsley's words and say ANOTHER BROTHER LOST! LOL

Yes. I am determined to see some important changes taking place in my life this year. I hope I do see it. And I hope the same happens to you.

Thanks, Mayanna! It's nice to know there are people supporting me. I feel the same about you. And don't worry. I'm way past caring about that individual. Some people just aren't worth the time, effort or pain.

I am not very interested in Z's Legacy either. He had a book already, plus his journey was stretched way into Phury's book. And let's not forget his novella aka Father Mine.

Really? I think Axe makes more sense with Vishous, but who knows what Ward will do.
Like you said, he's a mini V. Fondness of black leather, whips, chains and hadcore sex and all. :D

Z paired with Novo would be really interesting. I feel the brothers need to feel there are females in the same level when it comes to fighting. They are not there yet, even though they have Xhex and Payne.

They reckon they can fight, but they don't really want them to do it. I don't think they look at them and think they can have their backs the same way a guy could. They don't do it on purpose, but they worry about them and get distracted. They definitely need to look at a female warrior in the context of a fight and see only a skilled warrior.

Z and Novo would be able to achieve that, I think. He would be a bit reticent at first, but he would eventually respect her as a worthy warrior.

Plus, if she has indeed some sexual trauma in her past, Z can help her with her, like you said. But then again, so can John Matthew, Autumn or Xhex.
I agree. Blood Kiss is definitely not Ward's best. It took forever to finish it.
Vishous and the new recruits were the best, without a doubt. You know, Peyton annoyed me at first but he grew on me. I want him to be happy.
I'm currently more interested in Axe and Novo, though.

By the way, you know what thought is running through my mind right now? Remember when I told you that having to fight for the love of a strong woman would be good for Luchas aka Qhuinn's brother? What if Novo was the one for him? She would give him a run for his money. ahahah poor guy!

Yes. Rehvenge's story isn't over yet. There is what you mentioned about how he's handling being king of the sympaths and all it involves. Plus, I want to see how things are going with Ehlena. Can't say I love her.

Like I said, Novo and Luchas would be interesting to see. Or maybe a new to us character.
We have yet to catch a glimpse of the elusive Muhrder. And Michael's children. His daughter would give Ward a great chance to give us the ultimate lesbian couple like I have been dreaming about.

Oh, the possibilities! :D

You know how Ward is. It's pretty much certain Luchas's time will come. BDB or Legacy, who knows?
But the ones in the near future will definitely be Assail & Sola and Layla & Xcor. God help us!

True. We need another half sympath. And maybe a full blooded sympath who is able to control his psychopathic tendencies.

Damn it! Yeah. JM will probably be inducted first. Why the hell is my baby Blay always the last one? Fuck me! He is as worthy as the rest.
Then again, who knows? I was expecting JM inducted first and only then Qhuay.

Agreed. I hope Ward doesn't mess up. Bourbon Kings is a new opportunity for us readers and fans to fall in love with the writing and characters all over again.
I can't wait for the next ones. Lots of possibilities and new chances and all that. New world, new drama.

If I could have any book now, I would definitely pick all by J.R.Ward, Cassandra Clare, J.K.Rowling, Nalini Singh, Veronica Roth, Juliet Marillier and all authors I love. Hi there, Captain Obvious! :P

Are you kidding me? Qhuay will always be life. Forever and ever, my love. +-+

Like I said, fangirl or hate your heart's content. Bring it on, sister!

See ya soon Xx

Lucy Qhuay Happy 2016!

I hope this year brings you what you need the most. :)

My New Year was a big pile of horse dung as foreseen. The shit did hit the fan between me and the man who calls himself my father.

As soon as the countdown hit HAPPY NEW YEAR he started shouting like a maniac, calling me a whore, a bitch, a murderer, etc etc. He was drunk for sure.

Bastard! You do not know the control I had to have not to come to his level and make a damn scene like I wanted to.
Partly because of my mother. She didn't want me to rise to his provocation.
I swear I don't want to see his stupid piehole anytime in the future.

Like hell! If there was magic in my holidays, it was dark magic. Like Lord Voldemort, DeathEaters, Sauron, Saruman and Layla type of dark magic.

But yeah. I would definitely go to Disneyland. I won't die stupid. LOL

Yeah. Zsadist has no more obstacles in his way apart from the shit with the lessers and the Omega. His journey is finished. Even your best friend knows that.

The ones that still have a long way to go are definitely Qhuay, Tohr and Autumn, Phury and Cormia, Sola and Assail and then poor Trez.

You know, I would like to read about the other female recruit, Novo. If I remember correctly she's bisexual and I think it's time for Ward to finally give us the ultimate lesbian couple. I can only imagine the possibilities.

It would be funny as hell if the other chick was named Shay, short for Shayla or something like that. That way it would be Qhuinn & Blay and Novo & Shay. Eheheheheh

Holy shit! Yes! Luchas and Phury would make perfect sense. Phury will be able to help him, because he understands what it is like. That still messed with his head until Cormia appeared.

But I think Selena's death was the reality slap in the face he needed. Remember what she told him? :(

I think Vishous is gonna be paired with that goth guy whose name I don't remember right now. Looks like he's into some BDSM too.

You know, it would make sense if it appeared another half Sympath like Rehv and Xhex and he/she joined the recruitment program.

Plus, can I just say I want my baby Blay to kick some major ass? Preferably be there in a life or death situation when he would have to save, say the children in the mansion and Layla's stupid ass. He has to be inducted into the brotherhood ASAP.

I am sure Wrath and Rhage will be there, but simply in the way Paradise was in The Shadows. They're there, but not in the forefront. It wouldn't make sense any other way.

Yeah. Tohr is the oldest. And Autumn might very well be the oldest female too. What do you think?

Gosh. I gotta read lover At Last again. I just don't think I can take it.

Yep. It is weird but it happens. I get a little confused with the guys but I always find my way. I knew I loved Qhuinn and Blay the moment I met them, for instance.

Maxey is gonna blow our minds. I can feel it deep down. And Samuel T., that masochist bastard. Ah, Gin, you didn't have a chance!

Lane's friend seemed interesting too, but I don't know if he and Shelley would suit. It would be great, though. Small town girl with difficult past and a big bourbon hotshot. hummm!

True. Layla acts as if there aren't other people on the line. But that's her. She doesn't care about who she hurts.

Damn, straight! I'm just happy Qhuay are together and happy. Love them to death. +.+

Wouldn't that be great? Have all the books we desire, published and unpublished? I WANNA!

But you go girl. Cry, rant, fangirl wall you want with me. I love it.

See ya! Xoxo

Lucy Qhuay Hey! :)

For some reason, and even though it isn't usually the best time of the year for me, I love this holiday season. I just keep on hoping that it will be everything I want it to be.

You know, I'm looking for a certain magic atmosphere. Sigh...

Relaxing is great, girl. Keep on relaxing. xD

Well, while I'm writing this to you, it is 1.16 in the morning of the 30th of December. which means I'm less than 2 days away from 2016. Holy shit!

Speaking of that, I'm going to visit my grandpa like I've told you, which means I'm going to be MIA for a couple of days. I don't know if I'll have the opportunity to be here before the start of the new years, so HAPPY NEW YEAR! See you on the other side. ;P

Yep. Moving out sucks. Things get broken or misplaced or forgotten in some forsaken corner. A nightmare!

I'll tell you everything about the visit when I'm back. I really need luck to face this bull.

Haven't read that interview from her. And I think you're right. Z has pretty much gone through everything he could go through. From years of captivity to the damage that made on his body and psyche to the dark, lonely years, with only Phury to keep him company, to the fighting against love, then falling in love, then freaking out because he was going to be a father, then freaking out because he didn't know how to be a dad or how to basically jump his lady's bones with his daughter right there. LOL

His journey his over. I don't see a new path for Z besides his dealing with the brothers and now the new recruits.

Phury, on the other hand, still has a long way to go. Or even Tohr, even though he's the oldest, I think.

I've had this doubt for weeks and I can't seem to make up my mind. Do you think Tohr is the oldest? I think so. I mean, just follow me.

Darius was the oldest and he was Tohr's father in every way but blood. Tohr was barely out of his transition, but still older than Wrath, who was just a little boy. Back in the day, it was his father Wrath who ruled,
Darius died, thus Tohr is the oldest.

I guess there is a possibility Vishous and Payne might be older than Tohr, but I don't think so. We know Darius was at the Bloodletter's camp when he was younger and we know some things of that time from John Matthew reading Darius's journal/diary.

I don't recall it mentioning someone like Vishous and you know Vishous is pretty hard to forget.

Any thoughts on this?

I know it's strange but it happens every single time. For example, when I started Dark Lover, I was pretty sure Zsadist was gonna be the one for me. Turns out he's one of those I like the least.

As soon as I met Vishous and then Qhuinn and Blay, I was a goner. No Z for me.

Don't worry, sister. Now I'm dead sure Max is gonna be my man, because I kinda know him, despite not really knowing him, if that makes sense. But in the start I thought Edward would be my fave.
No luck. Max and Samuel T. are sure to drive me insane.

Totally! Edward's book has nothing on Gin's or Max's. The anticipation, the slow agony of knowing some things, yet not enough. Ward is gonna be the death of me someday.

Yes. Edward and Shelley work as best friends, nothing more. And I'm pretty sure Lane's best friend is that guy in whose home he was staying at back in New York(?). He sounds like an interesting guy too,

Truest truth in the world. All sorts of warning signs and F bombs appeared when Qhuinn and Layla started being buddies and then all hell broke loose. Stupid ass homewrecking slut! She's just pathetic, No other word can describe her.

I kinda wish and don't wish the brothers found out about Layla putting them all in danger. She deserved it, but she carries my Qhuay twins, that whore. They can't be put in danger.

Yes. Qhuinn redeemed himself in our eyes. Or maybe you, me and Blay are just damn stupid. I mean, in the real world I'm not seeing myself forgiving a guy, even if he was the love of my life, after he spent years snubbing me, breaking my heart and then, the nail in the coffin, knocking up some random bitch.

Don't worry. Ward is good with that brotherly bonding and such. The same will happen with the Bradfords.

Hell yeah! Bring it on, Maxey! We love us some sexy ass BDSM times. Give us your worst (or best, whatever)! :D

You can fangirl and rant your heart out. I love it. And God knows I do it way too many times. Eheheheh :D

Yes. Gin or Max need to be the next ones. Hurry| :D

Lucy Qhuay Happy Holidays! :)

I hope you had a great Christmas with your loved ones. Can't believe it's almost 2016. What have I done with myself this year? xD

Well, my holidays have been a mixture of normal and chaotic. Still unpacking our stuff, plus the furniture is appearing unexpectedly broken.

Also, I'm going to visit my paternal grandfather this new year's eve, which means I'm going to be with my father too, which in turn means the shit might very well hit the fan.

I hope yours are doing better.

I agree. Blood Kiss was indeed boring. We can't compare it to real BDB stuff. It lacked action, romance, sexy times, good drama and so much more.

Really? Where have you heard the next Legacy is about Z? I didn't know that. But like you said, hopefully it will be better, even though he's not our man.

You know, I think I've already said this to you, but I don't remember if it's true, so I'm saying it again. When I start a new series, the ones I think are going to be my favourites always end up among my least favourites.

I am indeed excited for Edward's book, what with the drama surrounding his imprisonment and torture, thanks to daddy dearest and the thing with Sutton, but I'm positively burning for Max's and Gin's books. Burning!

Yeah. I hope it's a matter of being ambiguous and creating drama, because I wouldn't be okay with Edward and Shelley being sexually involved. Like you said, I got the 'just friends' vibe and it would mess it all up if things got that twisted.

They can be good friends, possibly even best friends, with her helping him getting clean and managing the farm and such.

Girl, you don't know how terrified I am for my beloved characters after the big Qhuinn and Layla fuck up. I feel nothing is safe after that.

But yeah. I got a bad feeling when Layla and Qhuinn started being on friendly(ish) terms and that didn't happen with Edward and Shelley. Let's hope and pray. LOL

True. Qhuinn was the biggest fucking idiot in the planet for so long and nothing can ever compare to that. I wonder how Blay (and me) can love him that much.

Yep. Edward and Shelley is definitely a no-go. But you're right when you say he needs that kind of friendship Butch was to V. He needs someone to shake him up and make him see he has to open himself up to possibilities.

It's true V wouldn't have let himself love Jane if he hadn't loved Butch first, albeit in different ways of course. Edward needs that. Sutton can't do it alone.

It's like Qhuinn and Blay in a way as well.. Qhuinn needed life to bitchslap him across the face to finally see Blay and allow himself to feel the love he had bottled up inside. Blay couldn't do it alone.

Also, hopefully Edward and Lane. Gin and Max reconnect and forge a bond even stronger than before. That needs to happen.

Heheheheh Hell yeah, girl! Like I said, Max and the preacher's daughter is human V and black Jane. She is a doctor too and I'm positive he's into BDSM from the little tidbit about him not having conventional tastes when it comes to sex. Ooooooh, the joy! I WANNA! :D

True! I wish we didn't have to wait so much for our beloved books.

Lucy Qhuay Hey, sister mine! ;)

How are you enjoying this festive season? Lots of love, patience and forgiveness, I hope.

I'm glad you have Blood Kiss. You should read it just the same, because it's the WARDen. But I must admit it was a disappointment to me.

Lots of Marissa and Butch moments and you know they're one of my least favourite couples. He's okay but screw her.

Also, the scenes with Paradise and Craeg weren't that great. He was an asshole most of the time and it took forever for something truly important to happen, such as a mere kiss.

Alas, I hope the next Legacy is way better.

And hell yeah! High five for our correct guess concerning The Angel's Share. We truly are fantastic fangirls. Rock on, bitches! LOL

True, true, true. I don't want Edward and Shelley to be involved sexually, but I'm antsy as hell, since the summary does make it sound that way.

If that happens, it's another Qhuinn and Layla situation and you know I can't take that shit again. My poor heart will be destroyed beyond repair. I can't take it. I'm hyperventilating just thinking about it. Hell no!

I hope they meant 'busy' as in 'busy with his farm, animals and his workers, especially Shelley, who might grow to be a great friend', but it sounds so bad.

I guess they might have done it on purpose to sound ambiguous and, thus create some tension and drama around a possible love triangle.

The fact Edward is in love with Sutton doesn't calm me at all. Qhuinn was head over hills in love with Blay, his soulmate, his one and only, his 'this is it and never again' and he still fucked it up and fucked Layla. Ward sure could do the same. I hope not, but that woman is EVIL.

And I guess that your 'Edward already had sex with Sutton' argument doesn't calm me either.

Thinking about it, I think that Qhuinn having sex with Layla was a greater betrayal than it would be Edward and Shelley and Qhuinn and Blay hadn't had sex before that.

It hurt like hell and nothing can compare to it. There was the fact Blay loved him from the start, pined for him for years, actually humiliated himself and was snubbed and hurt over and over again. And then Qhuinn knocked the bitch up.

I get all stressed out just thinking about it.

Long story short, Ward is an unpredictable evil bitch and you can't trust her to do right by the characters, no matter the logic.

Wooohooo, girl! Damn straight! I haven't met Max and I already know he's the one for me too. He sounds deliciously like Vishous and that drives me crazy. :D

Can't wait!

message 28: by Lucy Qhuay (last edited Dec 12, 2015 11:13AM)

Lucy Qhuay Howdy, partner! ;P

Have you noticed The Angel's Share (Bourbon Kings #2) is indeed about Edward and Sutton like we talked about?

I confess I got super antsy with the tidbit in the book's summary that suggests Edward will be sexually involved with Shelley(?). I really didn't want that to happen.

Your thoughts on the matter...

Lucy Qhuay Indeed. Moving out is hell. You only know how much shit you have when you do it. LOL

I've started Blood Kiss today and I'm about 60% through it. I must say I'm disappointed.

Way too many Marissa and Butch moments and you know I couldn't care less about that stupid bitch. Not much into Butch either.

Paradise and Craeg are OK, I guess. They don't wow me. Craeg is kind of an asshole, which is surprising considering their first meeting. I thought he was a bit shy and reserved, but not really. So far he has been like 'Fuck me! Why can't I stop thinking about that blonde chick?' and 'Hello, boner!'

Paradise is actually pretty decent. Loved when she all but kneed him in the balls when he was making a big fuss about fighting her.

To tell you the truth, I'm kinda more interested in other two recruits. A guy named Axwell aka Axe and a girl named Novo.

Lucy Qhuay Hell no! I am in the process of moving out. Everything's chaotic and I barely have the time to go to the toilet. But I so want to read Blood Kiss as soon as possible. What about you?

Lucy Qhuay You just wait. My sister is about to star her 4th grade at her Elementary school and she hates it. My mother and I get stressed all the time, because she throws a fit every single day.
I hope your sister is more like me. Oh, I loved school. xD

LOL That usually happens with the WARDen. You either love or hate the book. I hope I love it as well. Let's see.
I'll start the book tomorrow and then We'll chat. ;P

Lucy Qhuay Ahahah I'm worried for mine as well.

So true. I wasn't this stressed when I was an only child. Now I'm scared shitless something will happen to my sister.
I don't think I could take that. I would rather it happened to me than to her.

And I totally agree. Being with them and seeing their innocence, joy and love for those who take care of them is the best thing children have.

Almost done. 200 pages or so to finish Count Of Monte Cristo and then The Bourbon Kings.

Lucy Qhuay LOL I haven't written a decent review in a while either, so welcome aboard. LOL

Ahhhh 9 months old. And a little she-devil already. What is this? The Mask 2? LOL
I swear all younger siblings are annoying at times, but we would be seriously messed up without them.

True. We die-hard fans can't help theorizing all the time.

Yes, girl! I so have The Bourbon Kings in my greedy little paws already, but I'm persevering in my goal of finishing The Count Of Monte Cristo first and only then jump into J.R.Ward's debauched world. LOL

Lucy Qhuay LOL It happens from once in a while a review that sucks big ass. No big deal. xD

OMG! Congrats! You just had a baby sister? Ooooh! That's so cute! I so know what that is. I'm a big sister myself and it's really funny to see that tiny being growing up. I still remember when my sister was a smiling baby. Now she's a 9 years old devil. LOL

True. Money means things such as books, so I can't whine about that.

Uuuummmm...interesting theory but I don't think the Scribe Virgin is going to release Rhage from his curse, especially now that it's a bit more bearable with Mary.

Lucy Qhuay True. We both gotta be more active here on Goodreads.

Enjoying time with loved ones is always amazing. I hope you're having a great time.
I have been working like I told you. The timetable is really heavy, but it pays well, so I have to suck it up until something better comes up. xD

Indeed. The colour scheme and the guy's pose is great, but it feels weird somehow.
I agree with the dragon part. The dragon coming out of his back or maybe lurking in the shadows, like he's some unseen threat about to jump Rhage would be great.

Lucy Qhuay Hey, girl! Long time, no see. :)

What have you been doing? Tell me stuff.

Well, I'm really glad you told me about The Beast cover. I have a new job and working 11 hours straight is not being easy on my reading. I haven't had the time to read or come here much.

Now, about that deal you mentioned. I actually think the cover is pretty awesome. Love the black and blue, which is supposed to give us a sense of raining at night.
I also like the guy's pose, but I think his face is weird. It looks like he's twisting it, which I think is supposed to tell us his dragon is about to come out. Still, it feels weird.

What about your thoughts?

*P*u*r*p*l*e* Masochist Hey Mayanna, thanks for the friendship! :)

Lucy Qhuay Ahahah what can I say? Sometimes I'm inspired and I definitely was when I came up with those titles for Layla and Xcor's book. :D
I'm glad you liked them.

True. Ward was the cause of 90% of my near-death experiences xD

Lucy Qhuay I preach it, but folks ain't listening! xD

Ahahah I know, right? Great minds think alike. Dumb idiots love stuff like Layla and so on.

Totally! I want Qhuay badly and the only good thing about Xcor and Layla's book is that we're going to have Qhuay.

Oh, thinking about it, I have a bunch of titles for Xcor and Layla's book. It has to have THE, so:
- The Fuckups
- The Whore and the Fuckface
- The STFU Bitch! and her sidekick
- The 'Holy molly! Look at that piehole!' and the Vamp Porn Star
- The Inglorious Basterds (Get it? xD)
- The Misery Days Part 1 and Part 2
- The Guy Who Scared Fear Itself and Mrs Godzilla
- The Bride of Chucky (LMAAAAAO)
- The Sound Of Me Not Giving A Fuck
- The Vamp Of The Opera: Dark Origins
- The Exorcism MWAHAHAHAHAH :D

Be my guest to pick a title. ;P

So true! Ward wants to give us a coronary. xD

Lucy Qhuay Indeed. Intolerance is the origin of all conflicts. If people were more open-minded and acknowledged the fact others are entitled to different opinions, this world wouldn't be in the gutter as it is.

Ahahah I know you love them. You love everything I do. ;D

OMG! Me too! I want to know every single thing that happens in the life of my Qhuay. Love them so much it hurts! +.+

Ward can be a saint or the very devil, depending on her mood. xD

Lucy Qhuay I know, right? I had people turning on me because I'm a V and Jane lover, a Layla hater and because I loved The Shadows, even though it was heartbreaking.
Bitch, please! I'm entitled to an opinion, too!

I think Qhuay are already mated. I mean, it seemed to be implicit in some sentences in The King and The Shadows. I don't know, though.
I want Ward to state everything. Qhuinn with Blay's name carved on his back in the Old Language, Blay with Qhuinn's name carved on his back in the Old Language and screw the others!

I think you'll like Blood Kiss. Ward has a way of turning the tables on us and pulling some big WTF moments.

Lucy Qhuay I've found nasty people here, too. I just can't stand people who don't respect my right to have a different opinion than they do.

Hell, yes! I wanted Ward to write V and Jane's mating ceremony, as well as Qhuay's. :D

LOL I know you do.

I think the fact Craeg didn't shake Paradise's hand is an indication that he's going to keep her at arm's length, so she's the one who's going to have to fight for him.
I'm pretty sure he already pinned her down as one of the glymera and considering that he's a civilian, he must think he's not worthy of her or something like that.
It's going to be good for Paradise to suffer a bit. like you said, she's had it easy so far. She needs to strengthen herself and fight for what and who she wants.

Lucy Qhuay Aahahah yeah. We all have flaws.

I know, right? Goodreads was a gift from the skies for me. I don't have anyone in my life, besides my friends here on Goodreads, such as yourself, who understand what it's like to love books so much and get attached to characters the way I do.

True. The story is what it is and Marissa and Jane appeared in their lives. V belongs with Jane and Butch with Marissa. The end.

OMG! Yes! Vishous is perfect the way he is and I'm so happy he found Jane.
He suffered so much with that fucking father. Who the hell tries to castrate his own son? Fucker!
And that stupid Scribe Virgin couldn't even save her son. Bitch! Uggh!
At least Jane loves him for who he is and who do anything for him. Remember in Payne's book when she told Payne she would be the one to assist her if she wanted to die? Later she told Vishous she would rather he hated her forever than suffered if he had to be the one to do that. That's true love.

How did you know? I did rub my chin with an inquisitive brow raise. LOL
Craeg is intriguing. I bet he didn't want to shake Paradise's hand because he feels something for her already.

Mercy is actually a great woman. I was fully prepared to hate her, because I thought she would be a she-devil like Brenna and Talin.

Lucy Qhuay Yay! Eidolon is yummy! +.+

What can I do? I'm hopelessly attracted to the hopeless. ;P

Yeah. I'm happy that V found someone. And Z too, even though I'm still pissed with him.

Sometimes? Being a reader is always hard. When you read something you love, it feels like you're going to blow up from so much emotion. When you hate it, you get pissed. Then again, you also get pissed when you love the book and stupid character appear *cough* LAYLA *cough* or bad shit happens.

I know, right? Why do they hate Jane? She wasn't the first in the picture. Marissa was. They should hate her instead. What did they want? V to be alone and pinning for Butch? -.-
Whatever. I ship V and Butch but as a bromance. V belongs with Jane. I guess Butch also belongs with Marissa, even though I hate her.

Ya before Qhuay was even in the picture, I said to myself I wouldn't mind if V and Butch were together buuld go in chronological order but hey that's just me using my brain.

Aaaaww! Yeah. That scene when V realizes Jane is a warrior too is so sweet. Our babe can be sweet. Who would have thought that in the beginning? ;)

I think it will be better in Blood Kiss. Paradise is bound to get stronger, both physically and psychologically, or else she won't make it through the program.
And yeah. Craeg is intriguing. When Paradise offered her hand and he didn't shake it I was like 'Curious and curiouser...' LMAO

Totally! Dorian is one tough SOB. And no.
They don't all end with psy. Clay ends up with a human and Mercy, the only female sentinel from DarkRiver ends up with a wolf from SnowDancer.
I'm about to jump into the 7th book. Yay! :D

Lucy Qhuay You should. I think Larissa Ione's writing is really good.

I know, right? Bah! The heroine should always be clever and honest enough to admit she wants the guy.

So true! I love alphas, but I hate overbearing guys. I just feel like slapping them and yell 'Get your shit together! I'm not a puppet to be ordered about!'.

Oh, honey, you're so lucky! I am telling you, I'm ridiculously attracted to cold, torture souls with the entire 'I'm an island' dramatic jazz. There's something about cracking open that shell and being the only one to get a response from that guy that leaves me all hot and bothered. LMAO

You're right about Vishous, though. He holds part of himself back, but he's sarcastic and funny and he knows how to chill with the brothers.
Z is much better now, but he relaxed a bit only with Phury in the beginning.

Yeah. We can't change anything, even if we hate the chick. It's not like Ward's gonna rewrite the book just because we hated her.

Ooooooh, yeah! The bromance between V and Butch is awesome!
I know a lot of fans were pissed they didn't end up together, and even though Ward actually mentioned that if Marissa and Jane weren't in the picture, there would be no one else for them, I always thought V's one and true love was Jane. I don't know. She's just so strong. It's like she's a female version of V. She can be funny and relax, but she also represses her emotions and holds herself in check with everybody but V. At least that's what I think.

I'm kind excited for Paradise and Craeg's story. She seemed to be an awesome chick. She just needs to toughen up a bit. And Craeg? So mysterious...

Dorian is amazing! I love him. His book's number 5 and he ends up with a M-Psy named Ashaya Aleine. :)

Lucy Qhuay True. Demonica's better than her vampire series, in my opinion.

I don't mind when a heroine is unsure of herself. I can relate to it, since I'm a bit like that.
However, I hate when she is kissing the guy one moment and then practically scratching his eyes out the next.

Oooooooh! I so love me some sexy nerds, tortured souls and family guys as well! :D
About the alpha and the sense of humour, it works both ways. I love alpha, but not too overbearing and a funny side is great, but I also love the 'cold' heroes, who don't seem to have a softer/easygoing side.

Yeah. I'm not too keen on Ehlena. She's ok as long as she makes Rehv happy.

True! Safe Place is the best about Marissa, because she's never there to annoy us. Eheheheh!
Ugggh! Tell me about it. I am so nervous because of Blood Kiss, since the blurb says Butch's having problem and that definitely means some Marissa drama. -.-

Right. Dorian is the latent leopard. He can't shift. He's as kickass as the others who can, though. He's a deadly sniper and he can take out changelings in their animal forms, since he is master in a bunch of martial arts.

Lucy Qhuay Yes. Remember the psy are just people who repress their emotions.

True. It isn't that obvious that V is like that until Payne's book, when he and Jane are having problems and he even admits he was putting barriers between them.
Qhuinn was always a given. He pretended to be a bad mofo all the time to hide his true feeling, using fighting, whoring and drinking.

Yep. I've read Ione's Moonbound Vampire Clan and it has a refreshing spin on the vampire stuff. She uses stuff from American Indian folklore and stuff like that.

Totally! I'm harder on the heroines than I am on the heroes.
I guess it's what you said. We're females and we know how we would have handled the situation. It's way harder to see stupid mistakes done by people of our own gender.
That being said, what I absolutely can't stand in a woman:
- she's a cheater or backstabber
- she doesn't know what she wants
- she's a spineless coward
- she thinks loving someone means losing her freedom/personality
- keeps hurting the hero
But the heroes, I automatically love them when:
- he's a very tortured person
- he seems to have a heart of ice
- represses his emotions
- he's a warrior
- he's a sexy beast (dirty talk and kinky behaviour is a turn on LOL)
- he's a natural born seducer (without being pushy)
- he's more than we can see at first sight
And can I just say heroes pushing the heroines away is absurdly attractive to me? LOL

Yes, I think Ehlena redeemed herself when she went to the colony to save Rehv and I do admire her strength in keeping her family going on, but she just didn't catch my attention. I wanted someone like Jane or Payne for Rehv.

Eheheh It's kind of ridiculous, but Marissa is ridiculous. She's almost as bad as Layla.
I mean, obviously no one told that 300 year-old dusty virgin some pain/discomfort was to be expected or she wouldn't have screamed bloody murder when she had sex with Butch for the first time.
How was she supposed to please the king of the race like that?
Honestly, if I was Butch I would have died of fright or would have been seriously traumatized. What the hell kind of mess!
And yeah. When she tried to show she was oh-so strong and independent burning her old clothes and she almost fell on her face and died roasted like a damn chicken.
She's hopeless.

Lucas Hunter is still the king of hotshots as far as I'm concerned, though Dorian is a pretty close second.
Vaughn doesn't hold a candle to him. ;P

Lucy Qhuay Ok, my friend. I promise once I catch up on the Psy-Changeling, I'll jump into the Guild Hunter. :)

True. Her fans say Psy-Changeling is better. I don't know about that. I'll have to read some more PG and then read the GH series and compare the 2.

Robots freak me out as well, but I honestly don't see the psy as robots. I see them as emotionally and psychologically repressed.
You know, there is always that character in series who seems completely without emotion or who seems to have a stone for a heart.
For example, in the beginning of BDB, the more obvious was Zsadist, but I actually think V and Qhuinn were even more so. Those two were definitely the ones who repressed their emotions the most.
The psy are like that. Some of them really don't feel, but that's because they were subjected to a program that conditioned them to be that way. Most of them, though, in my opinion, feel. They just don't show it.

LOL You do that. You're gonna find some very interesting reviews, where I'm basically ranting and hating on some particular character. ;D

You should totally read Demonica. That was actually the first series that got me into UF/PR and sexy stuff, not BDB.
Hot demons and hot stuff. What more can you want? :)

You know, I have a very difficult relationship with the women. If they're stupid like Layla, I end up hating them and that has some serious repercussions on the guys. How can I love a guy when I hate the woman he fell he love with? I end up thinking he is either a dumb idiot or was manipulated by her.

Being Selena would be great, but without the disease part.
And Xhex kind of scares me as well. She's definitely intimidating. She reminds me of Lisbeth from the Millenium trilogy.
You know, I don't really care about Ehlena. I was pissed that she left Rehv.

I hate Marissa as well. That woman is annoying. Just thinking about the damn circus she created when she first slept with Butch annoys me. If I was him, I would be perpetually traumatized and would never have sex with a woman again. If you're gonna have a screaming chick with you in bed, you better not have anyone with you.
I mean, it was like someone was going to murder her ass. It goes to show she didn't have a clue about the mechanics of sex.

Vaughn is actually the guy I liked the least so far. He was a bit too overbearing for my tastes.
And yep. Hawke's girl is the psy who defected with her family and lives with the pack.

Lucy Qhuay Honestly, I don't even remember what were my questions/concerns about Angel's Blood. xD
Totally need to reread that one and read the others, but only after Psy-Changeling.

You should totally give Psy-Changeling a second chance. From what I read from Nalini Singh's hardcore fans, they think that is her best series.
It's really intriguing, that I can tell you. I especially love the psy. There's something about cracking open a guy with an icy demeanour and even icier heart. ;)

Ahahah. I'm a professional hater. I have 3 shelves for people I hate - characters I wanna bitchslap, heroes I wanna bitchslap and heroines I wanna bitchslap.
I hate a bunch of characters, usually chicks such as Dannika from Lords of the Underworld and Regan from Demonica.
No one comes even close to the passionate hate I feel for Layla.

I have an army of characters I love as well. Who doesn't?
And OMG! We're really soulmates. I break my BDB guys pretty much the same way you do. I would only add 'my not-so secret fantasy' and 'my soulmates' to Qhuinn and Blay. :)
About women:
- Jane is my sister
- Payne, Selena & Xhex are my BFFs
- Autumn & Cormia are the ones I'd like to know better

Eheheh Girl, Hunter, first name Lucas, is the hero of the first Psy-Changeling book, Slave to Sensation and his girl is Sascha, the one who can heal emotional wounds.
The girl who sees the future aka Faith is Vaughn's chick. ;P
But yeah. Hawke is the alpha of the SnowDancer pack. I haven't read his book yet, but yeah, he ends up with Sienna, who is a psy.

Lucy Qhuay Oh, yes. Nalini Singh. I've read the first Guild Hunter book and it was good, but I had already read Slave to Sensation and I was really intrigued by the Psy-Changeling, so I plan on catching up to that series first.
By the way, tell me stuff. Who are your favourites? Is there a character you hate as much as you hate Layla or almost as much?
I'm on to Mercy and Riley's book. Gosh, I hope she doesn't get on my nerves like Brenna and Talin got.
Can I just say I'm really excited to read Hawke's book? And that I think councillor Kaleb is intriguing as hell and that I have a certain suspicion about him?
Ahh, the excitement of first starting a series. :)

Lucy Qhuay Yep. I hated Layla as soon as she first got in my face. Uggh! I just can't deal with her. There isn't a single redeeming quality in her.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Thank YOU for sending the friend request!!! **hugs**

Lucy Qhuay Anytime! :)

I so get what you're saying. It's easier to find people who love the same things we do. People who hate as fiercely as we do, it's way harder.
I'm a peaceful gal. When I love, I give it my all, so the same goes for when I hate.

Lucy Qhuay Thanks for accepting my request, fellow hater! LOL
