Why and How We Should Master Our Brains

Brain mastery means executing what you choose to achieve, consciously manifesting your intentions.

What does it mean to master your brain? I believe it means to employ the brain’s core functions intentionally. Brain mastery is another way to say “self-mastery,” as the brain provides the means through which we control and experience our body, emotions, and mind. Through consciously becoming the masters of our brains, we can actually create our lives.

“Brain Mastering” is the fifth and final step of my Brain Education method in which you first become more aware of all five senses plus the sixth sense of feeling subtle energy (Step One: Brain Sensitizing), become more agile in making new neural connections (Step Two: Brain Versatilizing), free yourself from limiting thoughts and emotions (Step Three: Brain Refreshing), and discover who you really are while integrating all parts of you to be in alignment with it (Step Four: Brain Integrating). In “Brain Mastering,” you repeatedly and ceaselessly apply the principles and methods of the previous steps in order to implement the self-identity and core values you obtained through Brain Integrating in your daily life.

By minimizing the gap between what you want and your actual life, you’ll be able to pour your energy completely into action without internal conflict, creating the results and life you want.

Through the process of Brain Mastering, your brain continually transforms and solidifies neural connections that support the creation of a truly happy life. Increasingly, your brain becomes able to find creative, workable solutions to life’s basic problems. You become more decisive, and your mind develops the habit of forming more peaceful relationships with other people and the world as a whole.

In this way, Brain Mastering can make the seemingly impossible possible. It’s a way to overcome perceived limitations to achieve whatever you sincerely choose.

How to Master Your Brain

The concept of brain mastery may sound grand and/or nebulous, but practicing it can be made quite simple.

Here are some steps:

Make a vision.
The vision you choose is very important. For it to be used for brain mastery, pick a goal that reflects your true self. How do you know which goal fits this criterion? You know when the very thought of it fills you with pure joy. It gives you unlimited motivation while requiring you to use your energy and abilities to their limits. Such a vision holds your attention and is realistic enough that your success can be measured by concrete methods. Besides being good for you, a vision worthy of your true self is also beneficial for others—the more, the better.Affirm you have what it takes to achieve your vision.
As soon as you choose a brain mastery vision, your natural doubt and fear will kick in. Your negative self-talk will go on overdrive. Exercises for Brain Refreshing and Brain Integrating can help combat this reaction so you can begin to move forward. Another helpful exercise is Self-Declaration (see below), which you can use to ingrain the qualities you need to achieve your goal.Direct all your resources and concentration toward your vision.
The more your internal and external resources and energy go toward your vision, the more they will move into alignment with your true self and its values. It’s also important to have a mind sharp like an arrow, like a knife’s edge. A mind strongly focused cuts through the noise in your life and directs energy toward your goal, because energy concentrates wherever the mind does.Use the first four steps of Brain Education, as well as the principles of the Brain Operating System and the Plan-Do-Check-Act technique to achieve your vision.
Working on a vision is a lifestyle and a practice. It involves applying tools over and over as you doggedly move forward through inevitable obstacles, believing you can succeed. With time, you’ll become more proficient at using these tools, plus the exercises below, to live a life of self-mastery.Repeat as you refine your character to match your true self.
Going through life, you can create new visions and refine and redirect existing ones. In every case, as a master of your brain, you can use these visions to propel yourself to action. With each iteration, you come to trust yourself more, closing the gap between your true self and everything else. What you learn through taking action for your vision turns into wisdom and a strong character that not only benefits you but all those that your life touches.

Brain Mastering Exercises

VISION MEDITATION
Your brain is the tool that’s been given to you to complete your journey of self-actualization, and Vision Meditation is a way to converse with your brain to access the ideas and strength you’ll need to make your vision come true. Your true self uses your brain to deliver its messages to you.

Sit comfortably, and breathe in and out three times.Lift your hands to chest level, and begin this Energy Sensing Exercise. Once you feel the energy in and between your hands and quiet your thoughts and emotions, put your hands over your heart.Bringing your awareness inside the center of your chest, where the energy of your true self resides, ask yourself, “What do I really want?” Ask repeatedly until you get an answer. Trust in your answer, but if doubts arise, dig deep again and listen to be sure the messages come from a place that’s authentically you.Lower your hands to your knees. Then imagine a stream of energy entering the crown of your head and shooting out through the third eye point between your eyebrows. Imagine that the energy is projecting a bright screen in front of you, the MindScreen. Your MindScreen is a place to make your visualization more tangible with the great assistance of your attention and energy. Your MindScreen hosts and channels energy to whatever and wherever your mind directs it.Visualize what you want to create on your MindScreen as if a movie is playing it. Experience the outcome with all of your senses. Imagine yourself being filled with joy as you achieve your vision. When you are finished, breathe in and out three times and open your eyes. Record your vision in a notebook or make a vision board.

SELF-DECLARATION EXERCISE
Create a statement to help keep your brain infused with the will to complete your vision.

Use a simple declarative sentence, especially an “I am” statement, that describes the kind of person who naturally embodies your goal. It can be one that’s in direct opposition to your negative self-talk. For example, if your brain has habitually undermined your exercise goals with thoughts like, “I am lazy,” then replace that with a strong statement in the reverse, such as, “I am hard-working.” You can also have a non–I am statement such as “I can do it” or “I love myself.” The best way to discover the most potent self-declaration is by listening to your inner voice.Once you have discovered your declaration, write it down. Say it over and over. Sometimes when you say it, express it with your body and put all your power and energy behind it. Declare it to your brain with all your might, and it will believe you even more. You can also talk to a supportive friend or mentor about the life you envision. Find ways to declare yourself consistently, diligently, and sincerely. Your declaration is truth.

SELF-CREATION EXERCISE
Self-creation is the development and nurturing of your brain by supplying it with information that reveals what you want to be and create from your innermost being. The new identity you’ve chosen and your new vision needs to be practiced in everyday life; you define who you are through your actions—actions set in motion by information in your brain. In turn, the information in your brain is reaffirmed by your actions, and a cycle of mutual reinforcement is established.

When your words and actions become one and the same, then the nature of the experience is likely to become permanently etched into your brain. When the information is proven beyond a doubt, it’s linked in your brainstem to the cosmic network of information that drives the universe, and you “move heaven and earth” to achieve your vision.

Set aside a specific time in the morning or evening to do this exercise.

Sit comfortably, and breathe in and out three times. Lift your hands, and do Energy Sensing Exercise.Once you feel the energy flow, bring each hand to either side of your head and repeatedly move them toward and then away from it. Feel any stimulation in your head or the rest of your body. Once you feel relaxed, rest your hands on your knees.Tell your brain about the vision you hold for yourself as if you were speaking to your best friend. You can speak aloud or silently.Imagine that the vision is being accepted and acknowledged by your brain. Visualize brightly shining energy entering your brain, passing through the neocortex and the limbic system to reach the brainstem. See your whole brain illuminating brightly as if it were promising you the very best support.Ask your brain what you should do to achieve your vision, and listen to what it has to say. Notice the first feelings, sensations, or thoughts that come to you. They may offer new insights or ideas you need.Repeat the following sentences out loud or in your mind: “My brain is productive. My brain is creative. My brain is peaceful.”Breathe in and out slowly three times to finalize the exercise.

BRAIN STRENGTHENING EXERCISE
You can build up your ability to achieve larger, more complicated goals by practicing with simple, physical challenges. Physical-fitness training is an excellent way to practice stepping beyond obstacles.

Choose a measurable physical exercise (walking/push-ups).Determine what you can do comfortably at your current level (walking for 20 minutes/ doing 10 push-ups).Decide on a goal (walking 1 hour/doing 100 push-ups).Practice the exercise every day, increasing how much you do each day (one minute of walking/one push-up). Do your best not to skip a single day. With time, you’ll be sure to reach your goal and prove your capability and diligence to your brain.Enjoy Ilchi Lee’s blog posts?

Although the steps and exercises for mastering your brain may be simple, they are not easy. True mastery of anything can never be achieved without hard work and commitment. But like a coal that turns into a diamond under great stress and pressure, through the process of brain mastery, you’ll be able to radiate pure light to everyone you meet. And you’ll become an example for them of the potential we all have.

It’s hard to do it alone, however. That’s why I always suggest taking the hand of the person next to you and behind you. Then you can go together, hand in hand. Two going together is easier than one going it alone, and three going together is easier than two.

At its heart, brain mastery is a commitment to continuous self-improvement. It’s that dedication to living in the most dynamic and fulfilling way possible that I believe is the greatest reward.

Pain Can Give Us Wings

young woman in a hat holding a black butterfly on her fingers

[Photo by Sonyachny via Envato Elements]

Our consciousness determines whether we stay trapped in the inevitable pains of life or whether we use that pain to become strong enough to fly free.

When a famous English scientist, Alfred Wallace, was a child, he came upon a butterfly struggling to get out of its cocoon. Seeing this was so sad and distressing that he gently tore open the tip of the cocoon. When the boy did this, the butterfly emerged from its cocoon easily, and he breathed a sigh of relief.

The butterfly looked like it would now fly away. However, it was unable to spread its wings properly and ended up dying after weakly flapping them a few times.

Alfred realized that the hard struggle to break out of the cocoon makes the butterfly strong; the butterfly gains the strength to maintain its life only by going through this painful process.

Our Own Growth Process

Because it dwells in the body, our true self has no choice but to experience the many emotions and pains created by the body’s needs and experiences. This fact tells us why in Eastern philosophical traditions, life is said to be suffering.

Although our true self is the purest, brightest energy, this energy cannot be seen or expressed if it’s weaker than our physical needs or our ego. Our true self constantly struggles to overcome the confines of the ego and the body.

The effort to fly free is the means by which our true selves strengthen themselves. They grow stronger to the extent that we go through the pain of learning to love and heal ourselves and of bridging the gap between the wishes our true selves have and the reality we are experiencing.

Life becomes a blessing when our true selves overcome the innate suffering of life—when we transcend it. In that process, we become one with the energy of the cosmos.

Transcending the Pain of the World

This process applies not only to individual people but to all of humanity itself. Our true selves have the desire and will to love others and make the world a better place in the face of the pain we’ve experienced throughout history.

Each of us has the power to bring this desire closer to fruition. Rather than needing a special person to come down and save us, humanity’s real power comes from millions of individuals strengthening and living according to their true selves.

There have been great revolutions throughout human history, but not a single thing has been achieved by some special spiritual power. History has been evolving as a result of human beliefs, through the unified strength and efforts of the people sharing those beliefs. It is a choice and conviction arising out of the insight and courage of those who look upon the world without self-interest.

The Power of a Bright Consciousness

Making this choice involves a revolution in consciousness. It is consciousness that can connect everything—from our bodies and minds, to people and nature, and human beings to cosmic energy and the cosmic mind. That is why awakening consciousness is the most important thing.

When I think of the consciousness we need, I would call it “bright” and “zeroed.” A bright consciousness is illuminated by the energy of our true selves and by cosmic energy.

A zeroed consciousness—a consciousness at its zero point—is truly clear, peaceful, and quiet. The energy state of the zero point is balanced between plus and minus instead of skewed to one side.

A zero point consciousness is not immersed in happiness or sadness. Rather, it can observe happiness and sadness without reacting to them. It doesn’t chase happiness or try to avoid unhappiness either.

With the connection to cosmic energy and cosmic mind we gain in zero point consciousness, we can create happiness or sadness. We can change our thoughts and emotions and do the work that is needed for the betterment of humanity.

Those who have a true self and are free to choose happiness or unhappiness are holding the wheel of life.

Only we can make this change in ourselves. No one can brighten and zero our consciousness without our choice. Instead of chasing happiness and avoiding pain without purpose, we can create a new life and a new world by strengthening our true selves.

You Have the Power to Decide Your State of Mind

Ilchi Lee in Japanese forest

Mental health is about raising the vibration of our consciousness. The effects of a positive, bright consciousness trickle throughout our thoughts, emotions, and even body.

People are talking a lot about mental health right now for mental health awareness month. One of the things I think is most important for the health of our mind is the state of our consciousness.

Our consciousness exists in a constant state of flux. One moment we may feel positive, bright, courageous, loving, or hopeful, and then the next moment we may fall into guilt, shame, anger, or victimhood.

Luckily, we have some say in the state of our consciousness. Since our consciousness and our brains are our own, we have the lead and can take the initiative. We can shift guilt and shame into hope, anger into forgiveness, and fear into courage. That shift involves two things we need to do simultaneously: observation and action.

To adjust the state of our consciousness, we need to be aware of its condition. Are we joyful and happy, moving forward with hope, or is a list of failures and disappointments a constant litany in our minds? To design our consciousness, we need to be able to observe ourselves by looking at the flow of connection from our consciousness level to our emotions to our actions.

When we’re in the middle of a downward spiral or dizzying excitement, our thoughts and emotions may capture our awareness so much that we forget to observe ourselves and cannot see ourselves clearly. For clear insight, we first need to get ourselves to zero point consciousness. It’s a state in which the ego is completely gone. The ephemeral moment becomes eternity, and we find ourselves inside infinite cosmic energy. For me, peace is the state of complete zero—a place of neutral infinity from which we can jump up to brighter, or gwangmyung, states.

From the clarity of the zero point, we can catch where we are now, and then decide where we want to go and imagine the actions we can take to get there. Through the continuous process of observing – choosing – imagining – acting, we can manage our consciousness state.

Energy links each part of this cycle. The universal energy of life flows through and impacts every step. Through using and applying energy, we can turn imagination into reality.

Getting enough good-quality energy comes with effort and training. Through training, our internal energy can accumulate so much that it explodes out of us in a cloud of manifestation. It’s by training ourselves that we can have moments without any ego and feel the essence of ourselves, our lives.

Feeling our essence, our true value, and accepting it as such is one of the highest states of consciousness. Such a state leads to the thoughts and actions that will bring about our best lives.

Consciousness Raising Meditation

When I observe that my consciousness is about to drop, to get myself to “Stop!”, I immediately clap, change my facial expression, and laugh out loud for 10 seconds. When I feel myself struggling, I notice where my consciousness is sitting, and I change that moment, pulling my consciousness back up.

Energy Circuit

It can be as simple as that. But to maintain our ability to observe and shift our consciousness, a daily meditation practice helps. I drew this image of an energy circuit recently. I’d like to share it with you as a meditation tool to help you keep your consciousness bright.

Look at this image for about ten seconds, and then, keeping your eyes closed, visualize that circuit as you feel each of the seven major chakras from top to bottom. If it’s difficult for you to feel your chakras, you can imagine the energy circuit in the location of each chakra.

People sensitive to energy may find themselves spontaneously vibrating just from this visualization. But to help the energy of this circuit extend throughout your body, you can vibrate intentionally. In a sitting position, curl your lower torso in and out to shake your upper body vertically. This vibration method especially targets the first and second chakras. The energy in these two chakras becomes strong, bright, and hot, and extends to all the other chakras.

Do this vibration with all of your focus and effort for about three minutes, although you can go longer. Make yourself sweat. Shake away pain and discomfort, which release as your energy flows better through the vibration. All of your old energy and stored fatigue will be pushed out with enough strong, focused vibration.

Afterward, sit and breathe quietly for a few minutes while leaving your relaxed attention on your breath. At this time, affirm to yourself the consciousness you most want to have. Remind yourself of who you really are: cosmic energy and cosmic consciousness in a human body.

Keep up your training, and you’ll have the power to decide how you want to be.

3 Things I Did to Raise My Level of Consciousness

In May, I’d like to share information on how to raise our consciousness.

You may think that it is difficult to raise the level of our consciousness, but it is actually not. The various states of our consciousness can also be referred to as the emotional states in which we are currently staying.

Wouldn’t you prefer to live in gratitude, courage, love, and peace than in sorrow, fear, and anger? All of us have the power to choose our level of consciousness by ourselves. And you can develop that power through practice.

These three things are what I did today to raise my level of consciousness.
1. Laugh
2. Dance
3. Sing

By practicing these three routines this morning, I was able to start my day with bright energy and a bright consciousness. I hope that all of you have a good day in bright energy.

Ilchi Lee’s 2 Core Exercises for Mothering Yourself Every Day

[Photo by gpointstudio via Envato Elements]

Stimulate your core to revitalize your body and your life

With Mother’s Day coming up in the United States, many people are preparing lovely gifts and delicious foods for the mothers who nurtured their growth after giving them life. Perhaps they’re also giving their mothers and grandmothers cards with sentimental words and saying, “I love you,” with bright smiles that show in their eyes.

We can also nurture our lives the way our mothers did. We have a major energy center in our lower abdomen—our core. This area between our hips is associated with the energy of physical vitality and reproduction. By activating and building up the energy there, we can live more creatively and have more stable relationships with ourselves and others.

Complicated processes are not required to grow the energy in this center. We simply need to stimulate the area and bring our attention to it. This creates vibrations that, along with our focus, clears out old energy and gathers fresh energy.

Then it’s just a matter of time. The more stimulation and attention we give to the energy center, the stronger it will get. And as it gets stronger, Water Up, Fire Down energy flow will be generated, which will give us a clear head, open heart, and warm abdomen.

Making a strong core feels so good—yet sometimes it doesn’t. When we stimulate and vibrate our body, we can feel the old energy that’s moving out. Just like when we stir up dust and grime, moving stagnant energy makes an unpleasant mess when we’re in the middle of it. But once it’s cleared out, we feel refreshed.

2 Exercises for Charging Up the Energy in Our CoreAbdominal TappingAbdominal Tapping

[Photo from Belly Button Healing by Ilchi Lee]

Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and parallel like the number eleven. Straighten your back and neck while relaxing your shoulders. Tuck in your chin slightly or look at the ground about two feet in front of you. Using loose fists or your palms, tap the area below your navel. You can tap with both hands at once or alternate your hands while you tap two inches below your belly button. Pay attention to the stimulation and vibration in this area, from your skin to your muscles to your intestines and other internal organs. As you exhale, let the air come out through your mouth. Keep tapping for as long as you can, until your lower body feels strong and solid and your upper body feels relaxed and light. You can start slowly with about 300 taps and work your way up. You can even tap for twenty minutes if your body’s condition can handle it.If you feel some discomfort, you can tap more lightly until your discomfort eases. Exhale more strongly and relax your abdomen as you tap to help the discomfort to pass. Don’t do this exercise if you’ve had recent surgery in this area and have not completely healed.Intestinal Exercise

Make the same basic standing posture with your feet shoulder-width apart and parallel, your spine straight, and your shoulders relaxed. Tuck in your chin slightly or look at the ground about two feet in front of you.Rest your palms on your lower abdomen with the tips of your thumbs meeting over your navel. Imagine there is an imaginary string pulling your navel toward your spine as far as it can go. Gently release and let your abdominal wall come out again. Exhale through your mouth. You do not need to coordinate your breathing with your abdominal movement. For added effect, you can squeeze the muscles in your pelvic floor and anal sphincter as you contract your abdominal muscles. At the same time, keep your upper body relaxed.Repeat this in and out motion at least 100 times at first. You can also do it for twenty minutes or more once you become good at the exercise.

While they are simple, once you start doing these two exercises, you’ll experience their power. Through regular practice, you’ll be nurturing yourself and giving yourself the energy to nurture others without feeling depleted.

Why and How We Should Integrate Our Brains

To feel whole and fulfilled, integrate all parts of you, starting with your brain.

Do you ever feel pulled in different directions, leaving you stuck in the same place, unable to move forward?

Many inner and outer forces act on our lives. There are our needs and the needs of those we care for, the thoughts in our heads and the desires of our hearts, our will driving us toward a goal only to be sabotaged by our unconscious limiting habits and beliefs.

We can never feel whole and fulfilled when all of these forces are out of balance. To align all of them in one direction, I suggest integrating our brains.

Why Integrate Our Brains

Our brains receive all of the inputs that affect us, and they drive our conscious and unconscious reactions to them. Becoming whole, clear, and balanced begins and ends with our brains.

That’s why the fourth step of my Brain Education method of self-development is Brain Integrating.

After we become more aware of what’s going on in our internal world and enhance our sense of energy (Step One: Brain Sensitizing), we become more flexible and open to change (Step Two: Brain Versatilizing), and free ourselves from the weight of unhelpful ideas and emotions (Step Three: Brain Refreshing). These first three steps of Brain Education leave our brains in a very neutral state, one in which our minds are quiet and our egos have taken a back seat. Our awareness isn’t pulled by external and internal forces, and we can see those forces clearly with detachment. Only oneness remains.

Known as the zero point, this state reveals the very pure, limitless potential that exists at the source of everything. We were born with this potential, and we can access it from the zero point. It’s a blank slate that’s nonetheless full of energy waiting to be used in the way we choose. From the pure potential we find at the zero point, the Law of Attraction derives its power.

Luckily, in the clarity of the zero point, we more easily see what to choose in order to be most happy, way deep down. We can understand what we value without input from society and what will make our lives most worth living regardless of whether other people approve of it.

Knowing this, we’re free to be who we really are. We also become free of guilt or judgment and of the need for approval or being superior to someone.

Yet often, the choices that would make our true selves free and happy would also ultimately bring about a positive situation for all.

Where to Go from There

Once we know what we really want, then we can integrate information about ourselves and the world into our brains that would support that. And we can integrate the different parts of ourselves in support of our choice as well.

For instance, we can integrate . . .

the right and left hemispheres of our brain so that our creativity and logic work together to find solutions to challenges.the various parts of our brains responsible for thinking, feeling, and vital life processes.our conscious and unconscious minds by developing our insight and intuition.our minds and hearts.our egos and true selves.our physical, energetic, and spiritual bodies.external consciousness–human laws, customs, knowledge–with our internal, universal wisdom so that ultimately external consciousness will reflect humanity’s true, natural values.

We don’t need to integrate all these parts separately. The same techniques work for them all.

How to Integrate Our Brains

I categorize the different ways of integrating the brain into two categories reminiscent of how a computer works: the hardware method and the software method.

Hardware Method
Like a computer, the brain runs on energy. Some of the ways energy can be expressed are light, sound, and physical vibration. Using these modalities to stimulate the brain awakens the energy in the brain stem–the part of the brain responsible for most of the vital, unconscious processes of the body and mind such as breathing and heart rate. Waking up the energy of the brainstem causes a chain reaction that integrates the energy of all areas of the brain. The energy in the brain then becomes brighter and flows freely throughout it.

Software Method
Instead of approaching brain integration directly through the brain’s energy, the software method approaches it through the mind’s processes. It involves reviewing the kinds of information that define us and interpreting our identity from a new perspective. Then get rid of the information we don’t need.

Exercises for Brain IntegrationHardware MethodsBrain Wave Vibration
There are many forms of Brain Wave Vibration, which involves shaking the body to slow down the brain waves. To do it with your whole body, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and knees slightly bent. Close your eyes, and bounce your hips up and down, following a rhythm that feels natural. Let this movement expand until all parts of your body are relaxed and shaking. Then tap your lower abdomen with loose fists while continuing to bounce for five minutes or longer. Focus on exhaling and releasing tension. Then stop tapping, and gradually let the body’s natural vibration take over your movement. Once you feel fully relaxed and loose, gradually slow your vibration and sit quietly as you gently focus on your lower abdomen.

Energy Circuit Drawing
Copy the following circuit patterns on a blank piece of paper in the direction the arrows indicate. Start by drawing the shapes large. After you get used to drawing the shapes, draw them in varying sizes. When you’re satisfied that the patterns and shapes flow freely, try switching to your nondominant hand. Then draw with both hands at the same time. Repeat at least five times each. Follow the movement of your hands with your eyes.

Cosmic Gate Meditation
Find an object, such as a stone, that has some weight and a relatively flat bottom. Put it on top of your head and balance it there with your back, neck, and head straight. The effort will make you feel more alert and help quiet your mind. Feeling its weight, you find your center, and energy starts to flow down from the top of your head, filling your brain and going down through the center of your body. Breathe naturally and gently in this posture for several minutes.Software Methods

In order to integrate your brain with positive new information about yourself and your life, it’s essential to take in that information on both an intellectual and emotional level. Your mind can change quite easily on the surface, but the brain will slip into its old ways until you deeply change. To override this tendency, go deep into your brain as you do the following exercises to find where self-limiting beliefs reside and to overcome the inner resistance restricting your power, clarity, and conviction.

Self-Affirmation Exercise
Make the following statements, and be aware of the feelings and thoughts that arise in you. Observe whatever emerges without attachment. Keep repeating the phrases, choosing to believe them, until they feel deeply ingrained in your brain. Use any of the hardware exercises you like to ground yourself and provide a peaceful place from which to make the statements. With this important foundation, you’ll be free to explore new choices about your life from a clean and clear place.I am a courageous person.I forgive myself.I love myself.I am a precious being.I am pure.I am beautiful.

Life Questions Exercise
Answer the following questions to reestablish your identity. Try to answer each question honestly and bravely. Just write down whatever comes to mind, without trying to edit yourself. The key is to trust yourself and not shy away from what your deep self-exploration tells you. What is most important to me in life?
Write down 10 things. For each item, ask yourself, “Would living this value make me feel really happy and fulfilled?” Then, choose the five things you think are the most important to you. What is my passion? What excites and energizes me? Given your interests, talents, skills, and gifts, how can I contribute to others? How do I want to be remembered? What is my life purpose?Take a look at your answers to all the previous questions and ask, “What does this reveal about me?” Ask yourself, “What is my purpose for being here on earth?”

Let your answers guide your attitudes and actions and regularly return to a zero point state to keep your brain integrated as you work to master your life.

Poem: Earth Whispers

Earth whispers with a voice gentle and soft
Land is my bosom
Sea is my soul
Wind is my breath
Sky is my heart
And you are all my children

Earth whispers in a voice filled with longing
Feel the sun tingling on your skin
Hear the whispers of the moon and stars
Hear the radiant symphony of nature
Speaking with one voice

What is Mago’s Dream?

I use the name Mago to refer to Mother Earth. You could say that mago refers to “ancient mother” in Korean. I believe Mago dreams of a place and time in which all life exists in harmony, peace, and oneness with one another.

We can discover the consciousness to create this existence when we uncover our most natural, original consciousness. We can reach this consciousness though communion and communication with the energy and spirit of Mother Earth. I call this energy and spirit the soul of Mago.

[Video] What Kind of Brain Do You Want to Have?

[Voiceover by Randolph Dickson]

Your head is filled with information. Some of that information can cloud who you really are.

However, if you can discover your true self, you’ll be able to discard false information and make a brain filled with information that supports that self.

What makes up your brain is your choice.

You start by paying attention to your thoughts and emotions. Then you release the energy of these thoughts and emotions, for everything contains energy. Then you look for the positive things in your life and thank them for being there.

From that starting point, make a goal that makes your heart glad and that would be helpful for others as well. Put all of your energy into that goal, making everything in your internal and external environment in alignment with it.

Then watch how your brain changes. You may be surprised at how different your thoughts and emotions are and how differently your brain manages your body in such a positive, focused mental environment.

If you try it, why don’t you share the changes you experience in the comments.
