Episode 221: Captive Thoughts

2 Corinthians 10:5 (NIV)

“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

Angie shares that submission to Christ comes through captive thoughts.

Christy Osborne’s career spanned from working in parliament to the successful ‘An American Girl in Chelsea’ blog. It was in March 2020 when the realization hit that the wine was starting to take more than it was giving, leaving Christy exhausted, with brain fog and low-grade irritability. It was during this time and during the lockdowns that Christy began to reevaluate her relationship with alcohol. With years of sobriety behind her and two accredited life-coaching qualifications behind her, she now helps to empower others with her bespoke 1:1 coaching and intimate group coaching.

Episode 218: Why Am I Not Enough

Iris Bryant shares learning she was adopted brought her identity into question and for years tempted her to ask, “why am I not enough?”

2 Corinthians 10:12 (NIV)

Iris is featured in the book, “How I Got Over: An Overcomer’s Anthology”

Iris Bryant is a writer, speaker, educator, and podcast host. She is a recent widow and mom of two young adults. She is passionate about helping women find purpose on the other side (and sometimes smack dab in the middle) of pain. She has served an online community at irispbryant.com for several years. She is also an adult adoptee and she created The Adoptees in Arms community to help adult adoptees find hope and peace in God’s word.  In addition to these ministries, Iris faithfully serves as a worship leader in her local church. When she is not writing or serving women, she enjoys reading, visiting the beach, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

She firmly believes in God’s promise found in Romans 8:28, and she desires to help others believe and apply that truth to their lives. She desires to help women maximize each moment and season they encounter and show them God doesn’t waste any of our experiences–whether good or bad.

Episode 216: How to Heal Emotionally

Anna McLaughlin shares her journey of growing slowly in spiritual strength and how to heal emotionally through trusting Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 5:10 (NASB95)

Anna McLaughlin is a grateful wife, homeschooling mama of four, entrepreneur, and, most importantly, redeemed and transformed child of the Most High God. In her 20s, Anna reached a place of deep brokenness. From that point, the Lord has taken her on a journey to rebuild foundations, heal wounds, and come to trust in the deep abiding love God has for His children. Anna loves nothing more than encouraging Proverbs 31 women to be “faithful in little” and “set over more,” as the parable of the talents calls us to do.

Anna is an avid collector of wisdom, builder of communities, and encourager of souls. You can find her serving within the four walls of her home as she homeschools her children and in her She Considers a Field community, which equips women to be faithful in the little things and set over more through an intimate connection with the Father, that we might serve from fullness, never lack.
