Mr. R. Premkumar was born in the Nilgiris (India). Living in proximity to the mesmerizing blue hills, he grew up with a penchant for nature. Adventuring into the "sholas", strolling into the pine forests, was his favourite pastime as a child. He had his early education in Breeks Memorial School, Ooty and Kendriya Vidyalaya, Indunagar, Ooty. He is an Alumnus of Madras Christian College, Chennai. He is an educationist, elephant enthusiast and a motivational speaker. His work had taken him across the country, including the North East. Assam and Shimoga, perhaps with its resplendent scenic beauty had re-kindled his childhood hobby of engaging with poetry.
