'No Time To Die' - Trailer thoughts

Yes, Blofeld is back. And the No Time To Die trailer has finally been released today. Before the end of the year I'll be releasing my third book: A View To A Thrill: A Closer Look at The James Bond Trailers, which basically says it all. Needless to say, this promo will be thoroughly commented but I won't really make too much personal statements, so I'll share them with you here, below the official trailer video.
1. As much as everyone else, I'm immensely thrilled and hooked up! This looks...

When the world was more than enough

A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, things were pretty different in my life. It was the Christmas of 1999, and as far as I can remember everyone seemed happy. I didn't have a big James Bond collection, not my knowledge of the character and my dominion of the English language was so big, but I remember that I was totally excited as my dad was taking me to watch The World Is Not Enough, which premiered in my native Buenos Aires on the penultimate week of December 1999.

Onatopp of things: Famke Janssen and the ultimate male fantasy

A well-known symptom of "getting old" (or growing up) is seeing that your universe is also getting old. Pierce Brosnan, my childhood and favourite James Bond, is pushing 70. Izabella Scorupco will be 50 soon. And today, Famke Janssen celebrates her 55th birthday. This led me to write a few lines about her character Xenia Onatopp in GoldenEye and the importance she had along with the movie itself.
Of course, I have covered most of Xenia in my book The World of GoldenEye, relea...

Debunking fake 007 Brosnan myths

Hello everyone. I know I did a similar article sometime before on Universal Exports and the UAMC, but I felt in the need to debunk some facts I regularly see on forums and social media regarding Pierce Brosnan's performance as James Bond. I don't own the truth, neither do them, but here's my take on some exaggeratedly wrong assumptions.
He is by far the weakest actor who has played Bond. Of course not. Being effortlessly cool and debonair is not a synonym of weakness, and Brosnan could sit...

Why we are transiting the worst Bond film gap in history?

Twitter user Time To Bond (@timetobond007) made a poll on his timeline today, asking "Which long gap in between James Bond movies felt the worst?" and giving 1989-1995, 2008-2012 and 2015-2020 as three possible options. Everyone seems to agree with me in thinking the current one (2015-2020) is the worst of them all. I decided to make a blog post to explan why, even though I explained it on my Twitter account, which will be probably be yet again restricted sometime soon for "unusual activ...

It's a lost art...

We finally have a No Time To Die poster, which to me was very much expected because this is to me the first piece of Bond 25 collectable I'll probably get. While a trailer is much more enjoyable in terms of fun, a poster feels like something you can actually touch and display in your room. It's the first introduction of the new Bond movie into that little "Bond Museum" many of us have.
Unfortunately, I don't find this poster very attractive and I'm afraid that all of the others felt like...

Interview with the Double Oz Seven podcast
I've been interviewed by Ben Waterworth and Colin Hilding for their Double Oz Seven podcast, regarding my books The Bond of The Millennium and The World of GoldenEye. I speak a lot about my appreciation for Pierce Brosnan's portrayal of James Bond, answer a few questions about the development of the books and I anticipate the subject of my third book, which I'll start writing as soon as I finish to translate The Bond of The Millennium to Spanish language.

Yes, dear world, getting your money in Argentina can be that difficult!

This was originally meant to be a "thank you" article to everyone who has purchased my two books: The World of GoldenEye and The Bond of The Millennium, but the misfortune of living in Argentina in 2019 has changed drastically the original nature of this piece. This said, thank you all for your purchases, they really meant a lot and at least I could enjoy some of the money I was rightfully paid for that. Why did I say some? Read the full story. My first book, The World of GoldenEye, was p...
