'No Time To Die' - 2nd (final?) trailer thoughts

The hype monster has risen from beneath the waves and a new No Time To Die trailer is with us. With that, the release date seems to be confirmed for November, even for Argentina, but with the production of this movie you never know the ways of life. I'll leave you the trailer below, then some thoughts about it.

1- Did they use Sean Callery's version of the "James Bond Theme" from the Everything or Nothing video game? Certainly sounds a lot like that at 0:14, and just as Primo's goons abseil down ...

From here to eternity

My dear girl,

I want these words to reach up to you, wherever you are, on the day that would have been your 30th birthday. I can’t stop thinking how unfair and harsh is to accept the fact that you have gone so soon, particularly when we might have shared a lot of great moments. Moments like the ones we had those beautiful weeks of November 2015, where I saw the happiness in your eyes and the honesty in every hug and kiss we shared on the warmth of your beautiful hometown, which just for you I ha...

12 lessons on being "almost 30"

August has begun, the bloody virus is still around and... I'll be 30 in around two weeks. I'm a little bit stressed about that to be honest. Same slight stress Ian Fleming had when he thought of becoming a writer and create a fictional after hero named James Bond to calm his nerves after getting married at 45, that's perhaps why I picked the gunbarrel dot iconography for this post, or maybe because the gunbarrel means a new beginning, the beginning of yet another adventure, or... just because it...

'Beyond The Ice' is now out in paperback and digital

Hello world! I'm pleased to announce my fourth book (not counting updates or translation) is now out in the Amazon store, and I'm sure it'll be available later in BookDepository. Beyond The Ice: The Case For And Against Die Another Day , deals with the 40th anniversary James Bond movie, which -unlike my favourite 007 flick GoldenEye- is hated by many. What made me write about the 2002 movie and Pierce Brosnan's farewell of the cinematic Bond series? Simply that I think this movie should deserve a ...

It's not a secret, it's a surprise...

Hello world, hope 2020 finds you well considering the circumstances. And happy 67th birthday to Pierce Brosnan, my all time favourite James Bond! If it wasn't for him, I'm sure I'd be now writing about something else, or probably not writing at all and maybe painting, playing football or the guitar, who knows, but it's thanks to Pierce that I got attracted to Bond some 22 years ago.
So, what am I up to? Well, the graphic made by yours truly should give you a huge hint. Yes, my next book will...

We'll always have our Rio

How do I ever begin writing this? How do you even begin saying goodbye to the only woman that has ever truly loved you? How can you reduce in a few words something that from what very few people around me knew might have looked tame or irrelevant or even exaggerated, but deep inside my soul... it has been among the most important things that have happened in my life?
It was June 20, 2013, when someone managing the account for a fan page of a Bond girl actress asked me "How did I look like?"...

Updated Edition for 'The World of GoldenEye'

Hope you are all staying safe, wherever you are. Just dropping a few words to let you know that The World of GoldenEye has been republished as an Updated Edition. Changes you'll find in this update are two additional chapters, an expansion of the original chapters, an image gallery with a few pics of GoldenEye (pics of my collection, some photos provided by a member of the second unit, etc).
By the way, due to the current worldwide situation, Amazon isn't shipping stuff to...

Where have all the good old Bond film preheating days go?

It's almost 22 years since I became a James Bond fan in January 1998. And I'm sad to say I don't feel identified with the Bond fandom of today, at all. Mind you, this has nothing to do with my love to the character. I love Bond in every media, particularly films, video games and books, even the comic books. Sorry to say it, but, should I have the chance to go to Great Britain in April (something impossible to happen due to my miserable finances), I can count with the fingers of one hand those...

From the shadows, as a child

Happy 2020, everyone!

I doubt this year will be as great as 2015 was (still the best year of my life since the late 1990s), but it already has two things in common: a new James Bond film is coming, No Time To Die, and it's another anniversary of GoldenEye. The first 007 film I watched, the one I consider my favourite and also the best in the series, celebrates its silver anniversary in November, reason why The GoldenEye Dossier  has been updated with an incredible new look and new...

'A View To A Thrill', my latest book, looks at the 007 trailers

As this wicked year comes to an end (fortunately), I release my third James Bond book after The World of GoldenEye  and The Bond of The Millennium . As you can appreciate, this piece will take a look at the trailers for the 007 films from Dr. No to the resent first trailer for No Time To Die and including the unofficial Bond productions Casino Royale and Never Say Never Again, released in 1967 and 1983.
This isn't exactly a "making of" book nor it contains a lot of...
