There were a lot of things I truly enjoyed about this book. I would love to read more about these characters, and even wish the book were longer just so Cari could explore how they all fit together even more! Unfortunately, I wish the book was longer for another reason as well.

Condemned has a lot of intense situations - betrayal, fanaticism, the damage of war, that all build wonderfully to an apex that had me on the edge of my seat... and then tipped me over on my side. In the bad way. The betrayal got handled not by the betrayed, the fanaticism didn't pan out, and the huge battle did not happen. For all the build up it was disappointing. But, the story to get there was a quick fun read.
