Night Owl Reivews Gives Eli Top Pick!

Night Owl Reivews Book Review of Eli

Warriors for the Light, #1

Eli: Warriors for the Light is a romantic, paranormal short story that is engrossing from the beginning. The subject matter of Fallen Angels in paranormal romances is hot right now, and Ms. Nutt weaves a wonderful tale of hunky, sexy angels and their quest for true love. By the end of the story, the reader is left wishing for another one hundred pages of Eli and Ryden's story. You just don't want it to come to an end. Eli and Ryden fit perfectly together and just seem to be meant for each other. They have an easy-going rapport and are total in sync with one another. There is sexual tension between the two, and you can see how badly they want each other, but they don't push or rush into anything, Their chemistry works and delving into descriptions of sexual intimacy are not needed to make this story sexy. The old adage, "Less is more", definitely fits this story.

This is a great book to curl up with if love stories about Fallen Angels and Nephilim are of interest to you. There is something very appealing and sexy about having such powerful paranormal creatures as romantic leads in love stories, and this is no exception. Ms. Nutt has done very well in delivering a top-notch romance which should please paranormal fans. Cover Artist: Katrina Nutt

*This is not the official book cover.
Michaela Grant travels to Scotland for a holiday, knowing this vacation is her last. A medical condition threatens her life and any chance of a future. However, life is full of surprises and meeting Alan MacLachlin is one of them.
Alan MacLachlin is the legendary Loch Ness Monster. For centuries his punishment has been to guard the well of life that exists in an underwater cavern. Allowed to come ashore every half a century, he can break the curse if he finds his soul mate. He's lived many lives with no luck until he meets Michaela. However, the gods have a cruel sense of humor. Death looms in Michaela's future. As the beast, he can give her the magical water to keep her alive. If the curse is broken, there will be no more trips to the cavern.
Michaela and Alan vow to take what time has to offer, but another threat looms in their path. A sinister predator, a shape shifter with a personal vendetta against Alan, stalks the village of Drumnadrochit, making Loch Ness his personal hunting ground. Next on his list is Michaela. Alan must unravel the mystery, discover who the shifter is and stop him before it's too late.

Ghostly Embrace (Halloween Short Story)

Jenna stood on the bridge, looking over the water some thirty feet below. Her hair fluttered behind her as the the breeze lifted it off her shoulders .The wind had a bite to it, but soon it wouldn't matter. She couldn't go on, not like this. Not without him. He was gone and her heart was broken. Yet...

"I can still feel you, Collin, your warmth encircling me, the touch of your hand... " A sob escaped her lips, choking her words. She met him in college and they married soon after. "Three years. We only had three years. It wasn't enough!" she shouted to the heavens.

She knew it was impossible to feel him. Collin died in the car crash, leaving her to face a life without him.

Her gaze fixated on rushing water below. Would it hurt when she jumped? She stepped onto the railing and leaned forward. She lifted her foot, but the scent of Collin's cologne tickled her nose. She hesitate, her hands clutching the cold steel.

"Please don't do it, sweetheart," Collin's voice caressed her like a kiss.

"Collin?" She turned, hoping against all hope he stood behind her. She lost her footing and slipped. Her scream lodged in her throat from the sudden drop, but instead of plunging to her death, invisible hands pulled her back. She scrambled down off the railing, hugging herself. She hadn't imagined it. Someone had helped her. Her gaze scanned the empty walkway.

"It'll be all right." She jumped at the sound of  Collin's voice.

He was here with her. She closed her eyes as a tear slid down her face.

"Love you always, Jenna," his whisper felt warm against her ear as if he stood beside her. "Live for both of us." Then she felt it. The tender pressure of his goodbye kiss.

I hope you enjoyed the tale!

Happy Halloween, Everyone!!
