Astronism, a new cosmocentric religion founded by Cometan in the Omnidoxy
Astronism is a Millettic panentheistic religion based on the belief of cosmocentrism founded by Cometan and codified in the Omnidoxy.
Its adherents, known as Astronists, believe that The Cosmos, as a whole animate entity, must become the central aspect of our spiritual and contemplative lives. It is the world’s newest religion with it being founded in 2013, which is referred to as The Year of The Gift amongst the Astronist community.
Astronism holds its origins in Millettic culture which is itself derived from the writings of Cometan in The Grand Centrality, of which the Omnidoxy, Astronism’s founding treatise, remains an integral element. Astronism is a religion which prioritises logical justification of belief, rational thought, acceptance of opposing beliefs, destiny, faith in The Cosmos, physical wellbeing, and intellectual improvement. Other traditional priorities of religions are not found in Astronism including rituals, initiation ceremonies, matrimonial services, sermons, and the state of one’s soul. These missing elements define Astronic religions from those belonging to other classifications such as Taoic, Abrahamic, and Dharmic religions.
Astronists believe that it is humanity’s solemn and existential purpose to explore The Cosmos both physically and philosophically as part of an eschatological system known as transcensionism. Further to this, they believe that there exists life on other planets in The Cosmos and that a person’s belief must be based on freedom rather than submission to a higher power, thus diverging from traditional theologies.
Astronism is the first and original organised philosophy of the Astronic religious tradition originating from the personage of Cometan, his writings, creative expressions and the events of his life. The Omnidoxy is the religion’s foundational text, and is part of the larger Grand Centrality of the Millettarian Philosophical Tradition which introduces many forms of Astronic cultural elements, theory, literature, and belief. Astronism includes a corpus of original beliefs and concepts attributed to the person of Cometan with some unique divergences in thought and practice from non-Astronic religions.
Within Astronism, there are a huge variety of theological positions which inform a number of different schools of thought, denominations, and belief orientations on various matters of theology and philosophy.

What is the Omnidoxy?
What is The Omnidoxy?
The Omnidoxy, also spelt Omnidoxi, Omnidoxí, Omnidoxa or Omnidoksi, and known by many different appellations in translation, is the primary philosophical treatise within The Grand Centrality that forms the conceptual, orientational, and structural foundations of The Philosophy of Millettism. Partitioned according to twelve disquisitionswhich are further divided into hundreds of discourses, the titles of which are known as rubrals, The Omnidoxy is codified according to a unique writing structure known as insentence.
The authorship of The Omnidoxy rests in monauthoriality with the author and philosopher, Brandon Taylorian, mononymously known as Cometan, who began writing The Omnidoxy at the age of seventeen through personal inspiration. The Omnidoxy remains the principal book contributing to the founding of the Millettarian philosophical tradition and was the first text to introduce the concept of cosmocentricity, as well as the introducer of hundreds of belief orientations, schools of thought, and disciplines of study along with thousands of concepts and notions that subsequently formed the basis of The Philosophy of Millettism.
The discipline of study known as omnidoxicology relates to the formal academic study and contemplation of The Omnidoxy by philosophers, scholars, and academics while that which is known as omnidoxical studies refers to the study of The Omnidoxy by ordinary people.
The historical origination of The Omnidoxy rests in its authorship by Brandon Taylorian during early 21st century England, specifically in the northern county of Lancashire.
Like in all textual criticism, the timing and location of the codification of The Omnidoxy is integral to understanding why and how it was written, especially by considering the influential factors impacting Taylorian during his construction of the text, particularly the cultural, political, religious, and social contexts of Taylorian's personal life and of wider society at the time. This forms an important branch of study within omnidoxicology known as omnidoxical criticism, or omnidoxical exegesis in which scholars study and investigate The Omnidoxy in order to discern conclusive judgements inspired by how, where, why, by whom, for whom, and in what circumstances The Omnidoxy was written.
Etymology and meaning
The term "omnidoxy" originates from the founding of The Philosophy of Millettism and combines the prefix "omni-" meaning all, or of all things, and the suffix of "-doxy" which, in a Millettarian terminological context, refers to knowledge imparted through written means.
Combining this prefix and suffix, the term "omnidoxy" is formed and therefore means all knowledge, or knowledge of all things, imparted through a treatise. Essentially, the "omni-" element of the appellation refers to the encompassing nature of the text while the "-doxy" element refers to the text's educative and imparting personality.

What Is Astronism?
The Philosophy of Millettism, as
Astronism
is officially known, refers to a large body of ideas that reside within the wider
Millettarian philosophical tradition
that are concerned with and focused on The Cosmos, which itself is the appellation for space in a Millettarian philosophical context. The founder of Astronism is the British philosopher,
Cometan
, and was founded in
The Omnidoxy
.
"A large body of ideas that reside within the wider Millettarian philosophical tradition" But, What Is Millettism?
Astronism is the primary philosophy of the Millettarian philosophical tradition, it considers itself to be the first organised philosophy, it was founded by the philosopher, Cometan, and its central founding text is The Omnidoxy, which resides within The Grand Centrality. Astronism can be described as a new philosophy that holds seven concepts at its core which are collectively appellated as The Seven Tenets of Association , and are follows:
- The Centrality of Humanity's Exploration of The Cosmos
- The Centrality of Philosophy in Society & Civilisation ( Reascensionism )
- The Belief in Cosmocentricity
- The Belief in The Cosmos Holding The Answers of Existence ( Intracosism )
- The Belief in the Greater Possibility of Sentience in The Cosmos ( Sentientism )
- Holding an Adoration & Wonderment, as well as generation Devotions to The Cosmos ( Cosmic devotion )
- A Greater Knowledge Equals a Greater Understanding of God, Being, & Reality ( Enknowledgement )
Sentientism
The belief in life on planets other than The Earth as well as the diversity of sentient species beyond humanity. Sentientism can be considered one of the most definitive elements of belief that distinguishes Astronism not only from the majority of other systems of thought, but also a modern and future-thinking philosophy.
Reascensionism
Reascensionism exists as a metaphilosophical belief orientation that focuses on the notion that philosophy has been fundamentally devalued, undermined, and presented in such a way in modern society that it remains inaccessible to the masses, and essentially without practical applicability which is principally blamed on the professionalisation of the discipline in the 20th century.
Reascensionist thought rejects such notions about what philosophy has become and supports the notion for the return of philosophy as the central pillar of society, as well as the primary repairer of current social and cultural issues facing many countries.
Reascensionism is therefore the fundamental belief of Millettarian Philosophy that forms the basis of how The Philosophy of Millettism and its followers are to approach metaphilosophical issues. Reascensionists are to call for the reinstitutionalisation of philosophy as a prominent social motivator and cultural mover and reascensionists are generally considered to support the belief orientation of antiprofessionalisationism which has been directly inspired by the reascensionist movement.
Cosmocentricity
Cosmocentricity involves the centralisation of The Cosmos from the Millettarian Cosmology to all applicable concepts, as well as to one's daily life in action, thought, and feeling.
Cosmocentric ideas are present throughout the entirety of The Philosophy of Millettism for the contemplation of The Cosmos is one of the main areas of study and debate for Millettarian philosophers and followers of Astronism.
Cosmocentricity can perhaps be best understood in comparison to other centricities, the primary one of which is anthropocentricity which centralises humanity in the context of a philosophical system of thought. Another example is geocentricity which emphasises the role and importance of The Earth in the context of wider existence.
The Millettarian Tradition considers the vast majority of non-Millettarian and pre-Millettarian religious and philosophical traditions to be both anthropocentric and geocentric in their orientations.
The implementation of cosmocentricity in The Philosophy of Millettism, however, maintains that everything within The Cosmos is subordinate to it and therefore Millettarians must consider The Cosmos primarily while The Earth, the affairs of humanity, and anything less than that which is cosmic is to be considered secondarily.
Humanic Exploration of The Cosmos
The Humanic Exploration of The Cosmos concept is primarily predicated on the notion that humanity's exploration, discovery, colonisation, and civilisation of different planets other than The Earth in The Cosmos is not only imminent, but is being put into motion now by the efforts of passionate individuals and start-up companies that Astronism wholly supports.
The Humanic Exploration of The Cosmos determines the main role for humanity in The Cosmos according to The Philosophy of Millettism as being a subordinate and exploratory role rather than a superior, dominative, and significant role in comparison to wider existence of The Cosmos to which humanity subordinate and insignificant in comparison to.
