Evil is as evil does
Celebrating #cruelty, #intolerance, and #injustice, encouraging acts of #aggression, and sympathizing with those who #hate & #discriminate sure sound like the actions of #evil people to me. [Evil: adj. profoundly immoral & wicked]

Society is influenced by example
People are influenced by example. Years of bad behavior on reality TV, abusive internet comments, a focus on superficiality & fame, and a lack of ethics, logic, empathy & emotional intelligence in leadership roles have all played their part in giving people permission to imitate.

Pick potent over popular
People who play it safe as a means to be liked (or get likes) by only promoting or supporting what’s already popular instead of what’s actually potent & meaningful are the bricklayers of the status quo & a plague on #progress.
#Potent > #popularity

Personal responsibility is a sign of confidence
Don’t know something? Admit it
Make a #mistake? Own it & don’t make it someone else’s #problem
Make a mess? Clean it
Affect someone in a way you didn’t intend? #Apologize
#Personalresponsibility & #confidence aren’t signs of #weakness or #insecurity. Quite the opposite actually

Don’t quit before you’re proud
#Goals. If you have to console yourself after quitting, feel the need to play up being disappointed, or feel guilty when people say “It’s ok, you tried”, the chances are good you quit too easily.
You may be disappointed in #quitting, but if you truly tried, you’ll also be proud.

Goals. Don’t quit when…
#Goals. Don’t quit when you’re angry. Don’t quit when you’re tired. Don’t quit when you’re upset. Don’t quit when you’re disappointed.
Only quit if you feel satisfied with your efforts & *truly* believe that moving on is in your best interest.
Otherwise, #hangon & #keepgoing!

Imagine if making a difference was more valued than likes
#ImagineIf more people stopped seeking a constant stream of #likes & #shares and instead started working for the far more significant & much more uncommon, “#Thanks I really needed that today.”
Making a positive difference in 1 person’s life is far more fulfilling than 1k likes.

Imagine a better education system
#ImagineIf #teachers were regarded with the same high degree of #respect (& compensated accordingly) as other higher-paying professions that often have less of a long-term impact as teachers have the potential to.

#ImagineIf #students were allowed more flexibility to pursue #knowledge & #skills that truly interested them instead of being forced through a system seeking to make #workforce clones.

Smarter people bickering about smarter things
Of course, we *could* keep bickering amongst ourselves forever & what #fun that is! But consider for a moment that if our #education system was properly funded to provide useful #lifeskills & #knowledge we would at least have far smarter things to bicker about with smarter people.

Struggling with New Year’s resolutions
If you’re starting to struggle with your #NewYearsResolutions it’s probably because you’re trying to initiate too much change at once. This leads to feeling #overwhelmed & quitting. Focus on making progress on 1 goal or 1 part of it & #keepgoing. Add complexity/more goals later.
