What's Coming and Happening with Hedgi

After waiting Patiently for a few years, Hedgi has finally found an illustrator, the Fabulous Erica Jayne. This means I will now move actively toward publishing Hedgi. I want to publish a few different versions of the Hedgi books.Since they are Draw-Along books, I want a version with EJ's drawings only, another with her drawings and space for your own, another with no drawings and then versions with a different artist drawing or painting on each page. The artists here being readers. Then of course also special on-demand versions of Hedgi books with only your drawings. Or someone you maybe want to surprise. Or maybe even a version comprised of a selection of your friend's drawings, or a family version where all the drawings are from a family or a class etc. I am keen to see readers have their own books with their own drawings or paintings of Hedgi in them.
Hedgi is very much a collaborative project.
I've set up a website for Hedgi, www.nobelia.org/hedgi where reader drawings, updates, news etc will be featured.
Hedgi has his own email to which drawings and paintings can be sent, as well as any questions and also what mysteries you'd like Hedgi to to investigate.
Hedgi's email: Hedgi@nobelia.org
Hedgi will also have a subscription list where, once you're subscribed, you'll receive updates, news, and happenings directly in your email and can stay connected with Hedgi World. Still in progress. I'll add the subscription sign up to this post once it's in place.
Comments and feedback are always welcome.
Syl.

The Power of Nincompoopery
The ability to be deliberately foolish and silly is a tremendous power. If we can be okay with looking silly or foolish, then what power does self-importance hold over us? None. Can others manipulate us through shame, embarrassment, awkwardness etc. No.
Do we develop the ability and power to step outside our comfort zones? Yes absolutely, because we're comfortable anywhere. Once we remove self-importance from the equation we start to live in the land of freedom
The video is by the most excellent and talented (in nincompoopery) Erica Jayne. I admire this ability to be ridiculous and to do so Deliberately. What a power. The fact that she's also funny and creative is a massive bonus. Thanks for this Erica. I love this as an Application of everything we do in Way-of-Impeccability and the Moreness-Project. Yay Erica Jayne.

Jones on the Pinnacle of Writing
Anyway, that was in the first story. But, on going back home, Jones, while in hospital, recovering, reflects on their ordeal. Jones is disgusted with Earth's conception of "Author" and of writing skills. On Vaginus, the home planet, Jones is a consummate bureaucrat.

Scoffing with all their brains, and a good many orifices for good measure, Jones is vexed by the Earthling's hierarchy of writers. At the top seems to be the "literary fiction" writer." ) Jones loves air-quoting, an affectation they picked up on earth. but, now being able to importune them with all thirty-three of their digits, their joy is amplified.) Continuing down throw the list, fiction, non-fiction, screenwriting, humour children;''s etc. Jones becomes more and more incensed at the utter folly and ridiculousness of humans.
"Ugh, I just want to go and eat them all right now!!!" Jones expostulates vehemently.
"Nowhere in this absurd schemata are Report Writers mentioned!!! The very pinnacle of writing is completely missing!!!" (Jones also has developed an inordinate fondness for exclamation marks!!!) At first Jones thinks the omission is some deliberate slight on them. An exceedingly well crafted, (if cruel) joke. But, they have witnessed the savagery of lethal passive-aggressivity from humans first hand. [See: "Writing" Callenge.]
No matter how diligently Jones pursues this line of possibility, and their diligence is legendary by earth standards. (Even if it's by gaming standards) Jones cannot find any evidence to support their hypothesis. Drawing upon one of their heroes, the first Archeaucrat, Herlock, they use one their famous dictums, which seems to have been psychically channelled by one of earth's spiritualists: "We have to implement the probable, when the impossible has been eliminated, no matter how unpleasant the masses might find this administering."
Forced to conclude idiot humans have the hierarchy all wrong. Jones sets about remedying this travesty. "First, these "writers" - what does their writing affect? How does it matter? They write, and some may or may not read what they write. They have no way of knowing. How preposterous to regard this as being writing of import."
"But!!! The Report Writer knows *precisely* who they are writing for. The need to be precise, to attune to that exact audience is extreme. When that audience is, say, the Supreme Autocrat,." (Here Jones knowingly employs one of their writing skills, which is to subtly imply to those who don't know Jones' exact status, that Jones is one of those Writing Reports for the Supreme Autocrat. A clever leveraging of their status. Just the thing to get them noticed. Jones had learned much about importance manipulation on Earth, greatly enhancing their bureaucratic advancement abilities.)
((Jones had also picked up a fondness for parentheses or 'brackets as they liked to say.))
Jones continues their lecture, "Not only does the report have to be tailored to stroke the intended's ego in just the right way, but it also has to reflect back favourably on the Report Writer. An exquisitely delicate balance. This is the *EASY* part."
"Consider now the framework within which that Report is Written. Always the target has limited time. Always the information which needs to be conveyed is more than they have time to properly assimilate. What skill needed to convey the complex to the simple?!" (Oops, Jones strayed somewhat inside their immersion, meaning to say: '...convey the complex simply,' an unflattering implication. But their opinion of the current Archeaucrat has leeched into their writing. An unforgivable sin, however since Jones is writing to Earth, happily this glaring flaw goes unnoticed.)

"That's still not the most difficult aspect. We come now to the *What* of the report. matters generally of supreme import, otherwise why would a report be needed? The Report Writer is thus the source of Decisions. Some would say, (the some here being lesser bureaucrats) that it's really the Report Writers who Rule. Inevitably decisions are based on a Report. Well, actually *Always.* No crat worth their ink would ever make the gross mistake of not having a report to source their decision. Who would they blame if things went wrong?"
"Here we encounter the supreme skill of the Report Writer. Facts. Pshaw!!!! Facts are variable, everyone knows that. What matters is Plausibility!!!! One of the Key Concepts of Archeaucracy. The Report Writer has to, with extreme wisdom and foresight, anticipate failure, while of course guaranteeing success. What genius does this not require???"
"One may wonder, yes earthling, that means you. You may wonder if a Report Writer is not only as good as their first "failure?" This would be a good wondering. In earthly short-sighted terms, yes, Report Writers would indeed have high churn. But that's because of the laughable, mockable, perceptions and understandings of writing hierarchy."
"The, by way way way far best, and most important and skilful and wonderful and most exalted of all writers is of course the Report Writer. And any Report Writer who has managed to contrive themselves into such a position of power will employ their considerable skills to ensure that in the event of calamity, which is ofc *never* unforeseen, the Report would have been written in such a way that not only will it allow the user of the Report to avoid any blame of any kind, but the Report Writer likewise will be exempt."
"How? How, you should ask, is this possible? Here we come to skills undreamed of by, ugh, what you call ""writers."" It's all in how exactly the facts are presented. their sourcing, and the chain of events which leads to their acceptance and usage. Their guaranteed fail-safe: Extreme Bad Luck!!! Our master Report Writer sets matters up in such a matter, that if there is an investigation, it will always end up pointing to some highly improbable confluence of events which just happens to come about, and which no highly intelligent reasonable sentient could have possibly magically forseen."
"Can you even imagine the skill needed to accomplish such feats? No, of course not. A rhetorical question!!! DUH!!! There's a lot more to Report Writing, this is but a brief insight into the Supreme Skill of Report Writing, the very backbone of any (advanced) civilisation."
"Bonus tip to any ambitious earth-denizen, understand this power, get into the field *NOW*, while you have the edge. Once in, lock it down and learn to write unfavourable, but Utterly Plausible, Reports about your competition, ensuring your immortality."
Sincerely and Humbly
Jones
(And yes, the apostrophe after the s of Jones is accurate in Jones' case as they are a plural!!!)

The Path to Trust via Awareness
Awareness is a peculiar thing in the sense that more is better. Sadly the idea that more is better in everything is massively corrupting. Haha, one simply has to apply it to butter. But I digress. With Awareness more is better, but it's also consequential. It's better in the Overall and long-term and in the contexts of our entire lives. It's very very dependent on what our goals, motivations and predilections are. And... it's dependent on our beliefs.
What...

[8:25:30 AM] Biella: What we strive for, aim for, are content with, and are happy to accept, all make a very significant difference to how much Awareness we come to accumulate. How precisely our Awareness is, and what we are aware of, is not always shaped, affected, and influenced by ourselves. But it can be, depends on those goals and motivations and aspirations.
Those...
[8:28:26 AM] Biella: Those do not always directly impact Awareness, such as the goal to know more would, or the goal to Understand life, or such like. They can also have indirect ways of affecting Awareness. Such as the goal and desire for safety and security. If someone has found themselves in potentially perilous circumstances where their safety and security depended on them being alert and observant, then there will be a corresponding increase or addition to their Awareness.
This ...
[8:34:44 AM] Biella: This brings about unintended consequences. Even in circumstances where there are no threats, which are completely safe and secure, the retraining of the brain to be alert and observant is a habit which the brain does not let go of easily. It's a benefit which has many side benefits besides pure physical safety and security.
By implication, once one embarks on the path of safety and security, everything, absolutely everything, becomes pertinent towards that end. Being more aware of health, allows us to live longer for instance. Safety and security is ultimately about staying alive. By Implication, which the brain is so magnificently genius at, health becomes a safety and security issue.
Likewise...
[8:37:16 AM] Biella: Likewise with spirituality, religion, philosophy, psychology. Anything which affects the self, and its survival, health, and well-being falls under the extended concern of safety and security. Once safety and security are set as high premiums, as imperatives, and there is the corresponding emotional energy to convert a general desire into an imperative Intent, then everything is affected.
The...
[8:40:17 AM] Biella: The brilliant and genius 3D spreadsheet brian now takes everything into account and calculates it according to this particular parameter. This perspective and this goal. This is the thing with the brain, with those spreadsheets calculations and the summaries, they are always in relation to what the individual in the overall has deemed to be vital and important, and thus of particular interest.
Thus...
[8:45:55 AM] Biella: Thus our prime interests and motivations affect much. Our prime motivations and interests are not necessarily those we list on our personal CV. Those are the ones we merely think are so. The ones which truly and really are our interests and motivations are the ones which actually generate energy, consume energy, which matter and are important to us. The ones that actually result in action of some kind. Even if that action is simply being on the lookout. And it is to these the results and summations, predictions and prognostications, anticipations and extrapolations, and ultimately, Expectations and Emphases, of the 3D spreadsheet brain are directed.
But...
[8:48:56 AM] Biella: But the brain is not singularly motivated. Other motivations come into the picture. I will stick with my hypothetical case and add in common motivations to illustrate the point. Ego, status, self-importance, approval, acceptance, confidence, etc., these are all common goals. They affect individuals in vastly different degrees, relative usually to their degree of adoption and relative importance.
The...
[8:56:34 AM] Biella: The Aspects inside us utilize these to varying degrees as well. One Aspect in particular. It completely over-identifies with these, and we commonly call it the ego. It's an Aspect which is almost exclusively dedicated to these as goals. For the ego, these are its very reasons for existence. But the ego Aspect of us is a tricky beast. Because inherent in its construction and design and its very beingness is the factor of "being right." This is one of its prime directives. It's how status and acclaim and approval etc are generated. Much the same applies to "knowing things."
The problem is that all of this ofc turns the ego Aspect into a dictator. The ego Aspect comes to believe its own directives and thus believes it "should" be the "leader" of all of the Aspects of the self, and of the entire Self. It forgets it's merely an Aspect and it attempts to take over. This is the battle we see in many people.
A...

[9:00:44 AM] Biella: A massively complicating factor is when Survival of some kind is adopted as an imperative. When strong feelings and motivations and thus strong emotions and powerful energies are converted into Intent. There is ofc an inherent Intent to survive. But it can be escalated into, in extremes, a desperation, and obsession, a concern and stress. This of course happens when there is an over-emphasis on the survival aspect of Living. And when the point of survival is forgotten, which is _Living._
What...
[9:04:13 AM] Biella: What is the point of surviving if Living is always going to be stressful? It's why most people Make Peace with some degree of risk. It's somewhat impossible to eliminate _all_ risk. The more risk we attempt to eliminate to higher the amounts of effort required. Most people find an acceptable level where the efforts made lead to an acceptable level of minimal risk.
But...
[9:09:02 AM] Biella: But if risk and threat have been set at a level where only zero risk and threat is acceptable, it's going to make for a miserable individual. Because ofc this is unlikely to be attained. In this life anyway. It's not in itself an unworthy goal, it's the ultimate goal of our DNA, but it's precisely how we go about it that matters. To achieve that ultimate goal and be suffering and stressing all the time in achieving it does not have to be so. We can pursue that goal and have fun and enjoy the pursuit of that goal _without_ sacrificing anything to risk and threat.
It...
[9:12:16 AM] Biella: It all lies in the Angle of Approach. If we are coming at risk and threat out of fear, then it's a rush and a stress to eliminate them and to secure their non-existence. It becomes all about fear reduction. The individual's state of existence thus generally becomes simply a fluctuation of the _degree_ of fear. No fear being their goal.
But...!!!!
[9:16:09 AM] Biella: But no fear is not the same as Joy, as delight, as bliss, or wonder, or awe, or any of the other myriad of superlative positive experiences there are. The absence of a negative is not a positive. It's merely nothing. And thus, if the goal is the absence of a negative, achieving that goal will leave one empty. For many this is a serious problem. Because emptiness is typically a worse experience. "better something than nothing" is a common belief in such cases.
To...
[9:18:23 AM] Biella: To connect back to our Safety and Security Paradigm, if those are the predominant goals, and there aren't goals of Positivity which supersede those, then the individual can be on a path to nowhere. Safety and security are of course worthy goals, but they need to be _subservient_ to the Positive Goals of the individual.
And...
[9:19:05 AM] Biella: And this is particularly important when it comes to the Internal Aspects. Particularly ego.
If the Ego Aspect has safety and security, thus survival, as one of its Imperatives, this can lead to severe problems for the overall psychology and well-being of an individual. Now the already inherent tendencies of ego to "leadership" become converted into flat out dictatorship. The Ego Aspect now does everything it can to ensure its own survival. The actual survival and well-being of the individual becomes a secondary objective, or an objective that's scarcely considered. Only when it's directly pertinent to the survival of the Ego Aspect is it even considered. Maintaining its own Primacy becomes the imperative concern of an Ego Aspect which has survival and security via fear avoidance added to its major directives.
Now....
[9:24:54 AM] Z: Interesting.
[9:25:34 AM] Biella: Now to tie it all together. Awareness, safety, and security, the Ego Aspect, and how these all relate to threat and risk....
[9:25:53 AM] Biella: [Cool, coming to the end now. :) ]
When it comes to Awareness, and particularly to what is held in conscious awareness, or what we are experiencing primarily, the ego Aspect is a chief determinant of what we feel and of our moods and attitudes, because ofc it likes to be center-stage in everything. But, the ego Aspect is only an Aspect. It is NOT the Self. No matter how much it tries to convince us otherwise. The ego Aspect is not the 3D Spreadsheet Aspect of our brain for instance.
It...
[9:29:50 AM] Z: Yeh.
[9:32:23 AM] Biella: It gets reports from that spreadsheet just as the rest of the Self does. And just like any dictator, it uses and discards and suppresses what it doesn't want or like. Particularly that which is extremely threatening to the ego Aspect itself. What is threatening to its primacy, but not necessarily threatening to the individual as a whole, either psychologically or physically.
Where...

[9:33:14 AM] Biella: Where does this particularly apply and come into play? With Awareness?
When the individual comes into contact with Awareness of _More?_
As children we are cozy and feel safe, (generally) because we are not yet aware of the More of the world. As we mature, we become aware of more and more More. ( :D ) How we deal with that More determines our stress and anxiety levels, our feelings of competence and confidence.
But there is more to the More than safety and security. Much More.
There...
[9:38:57 AM] Z: Ok
[9:40:46 AM] Biella: There's the vastness and abundance of the Positive More. Ofc this gets diminished in Perception if the brain is trained, via Emphasis, to primarily perceive life in terms of threat and risk. But the focus here is not on Emphasis and de-emphasis, as critical as those two are for determining how the brain actually functions, it's on how Awareness impacts the ego Aspect in other ways.
The...
[9:52:41 AM] Biella: The ego Aspect is threatened by other things. Physical threats and risks are not that much of a priority to it. Those affect the host and are thus only indirectly of importance. What then does affect the ego Aspect?
It's threatened by "being wrong." It's threatened by "not knowing." It's threatened by ignorance, by being relatively less informed and knowledgeable. This Relativity is a crucial and critical matter. To the ego Aspect, like any dictator, it's not about actual competence, it's about dominance. It doesn't care if it actually provides Value or not, just that it is Relatively dominant. The ego Aspect is quite content to be a tiny fish in a minuscule pond, especially when it knows it can't compete in a bigger pond.
This is how the ego deals with, what to the ego Aspect, is the most awful of Awful Truths: that it will not likely ever be a true big fish. Those don't really exist in the regular world anyway. When one starts to swim in those waters then ofc it's pointless as the biggest of big fish, gods, come into play, and then the ego Aspect realizes it can't compete. Unless it falls into madness ofc, which happens when the ego Aspect comes to actually achieve its aims of total dominance of the Self.
But to the regular ego Aspect, in its minuscule pond, it is typically content with this illusion of superiority. As long as it feels that it is more or less in control, and more or less dominant within that pond it is relatively content. Not happy, but not threatened either. It is thus typically manageable within the Self.
But...
[9:54:24 AM] Biella: But that minuscule pond is ofc not really a pond. It is in actuality a drop. A drop within the ocean of life. As such, there is intersection with the larger ocean, and with Implication.
As life progresses, there's random interaction. A whale swims by in such a way that its shadow falls over that drop. Normally the whale would not even be noticed, because it is completely outside of the sphere of perception of the drop. But the effect of its shadow inside the drop is noticeable.
This is where we connect back to the 3d Spreadsheet Brain and its incredible and fantastic ability to calculate Implication. The spreadsheet is able to infer the whale from that temporary darkness within the drop. Now typically, the ego Aspect knows that it is within a drop, but its assumption, its choice of assumption, is that the rest of the ocean is merely many more drops like itself. Yes, some may merge together to make large drops, but those are just drops where dominance is more of a hassle. The rest of the ocean is therefore perceived as fundamentally similar.
But...
[10:07:12 AM] Biella: But the potential Implication inherent if a whale's existence is radically different... To the ego Aspect, it now means its entire being is potentially a lie. It potentially could, by Implication, be a complete nothing as a fish. This to the dictator ego is a report that has to be quashed in the most severe manner possible. And this is typically what the ego-self does when it comes into contact with the Implications of Awareness of this nature. Or even if it so happens that it is a direct experience.
However...
[10:12:58 AM] Z: I'm not threatened by ignorance. Ignorance is a natural state, that precedes knowledge.
Everyone is ignorant of something, e.g. particle physics or skiing.
[10:14:00 AM] Biella: However, the ego Aspect forgets, and doesn't want to know that it is but a part of the whole Self. A relative tiny part as it turns out. A part which the Overall Self tolerates because, like all the Aspects, the ego Aspect has its uses. one of them being motivation. The ego Aspect gets us off our arses in many instances in which we would not otherwise bother. The benefits are indirect.
For instance when the ego is motivated to do some research on a point, where it was potentially wrong. Research always enhances Awareness, but there are no direct and immediate benefits to it in many cases. And it takes time and effort. Thus when the ego Aspect is motivated for its silly reasons, there are other benefits which come along with the particular benefit and goal of the ego. When we research something particular, it's seldom we travel a path that has that point and that point alone on it. The Overall Self absorbs all of the other information and knowledge acquired on that path. Thus the ego is helpful in this way. It's but one example of why the ego Aspect is tolerated and how it has real use.
The...
[10:14:14 AM] Z: Agree re being wrong etc.
What does the whale represent?
[10:16:38 AM] Biella: The ego Aspect is not threatened by ignorance directly. It's the Implications of ignorance and how those apply to the ego Aspect and its dominance of the drop. It's all relative. Not absolute. Nothing matters to the ego Aspect except maintaining its dominance. Whether this is as "leader" or dictator. It's just a matter of degree.
The whale....
[10:17:17 AM] Z: Oh no, many ppl I have encountered are quite threatened by ignorance.
Bcos they need to feel more clever than others.
[10:23:21 AM] Biella: Yes and no. This is an instance where the treat is not necessarily direct. It can be, but not necessarily so. I am endeavouring to show, that threat is often indirect. It very very much depends on Context. And that Context is determined by the particular goals and motivations. Yes, Ignorance can be a very large threat. But my point is that it is a threat to the ego Aspect not in itself directly. It can be ok with knowing that it is Actually ignorant, as long as its relative superiority of knowing is not in jeopardy. To the ego Aspect, it merely has to be the least ignorant inside its drop to be satisfied of its goals of superiority. For the ego Aspect it's always _relative_ not absolute.
This is how I mean that ignorance is not in and of itself a threat. It all depends on how it comes to bear in the particulars of the pond.
That...
[10:31:17 AM] Biella: That shadow though is a problem. Because the ego Aspect knows that all inside the drop experienced it. And it knows that all Aspects of the Self, and the Self as a whole have access to the results of the spreadsheet reports. The only things which prevent the other Aspects and the Overall Self from connecting the shadow to the whale is Attention. The ego Aspect typically is the one in charge of Attention direction. Conscious Attention anyway. And redirection of Attention is one way in which the ego Aspect suppresses those reports from the spreadsheet which it sees are severely threatening. The whale, to the ego Aspect, is not just threatening, it's overwhelming.
How can the ego Aspect justify its superiority within the drop if the awareness of the whale becomes common knowledge within the drop? It cannot. The ego Aspect will become redundant instantly. It will be so tiny that, to it, it will be useless. The ego Aspect ofc operates on much false logic, and that is a major problem with it, and for it.
The whale represents _perceived_ superiority, Particularly, superiority that by _comparison_ diminishes the ego. The whale also represents substantial _Difference._ Which through the distorted logic of the ego Aspect can be perceived as threat. The whale is only a threat to the ego Aspect. To the rest of the self it is a boon, or simply difference.
There...

[10:42:59 AM] Biella: There is much in life that's not perceived directly, but is known via Implication. Implication is an incredibly powerful force in our lives. We are all geniuses at Implication, without even realizing it. At issue is the relationship between Implication and Awareness. This is severely affected by experience and circumstance. By how often we experience the shadows of whales. And by how much we even notice when we do.
What's at issue, is Self-Perception. Using the ego Aspect as an example is useful, since it's so primarily involved. But it's the entire Self-Perception that's involved. The whale could be a threat and risk directly affecting our safety and security. A threat out there, that should it come our way, now, by Implication, we are completely powerless to deal with. Threats to Self-Perception come in many forms.
Self-Perception relates directly to our comfort and happiness. It's intimately connected to feeling in charge of our lives and circumstances. To being able to competently deal with what's at hand. But, when we experience those shadows, and suddenly by Implication the world is severely more complex, complicated, larger, and by implication, beyond our abilities to deal with easily, adequately or at all, this is threatening.
It's not necessarily the larger world that's the problem, but our Self-Perception of how we will, or could, Deal with it that leads to the problems.
When...
[10:51:37 AM] Biella: When we thus encounter those shadows and by Implication they reveal how we have been perceiving ourselves is no longer adequate for dealing with what's out there, it's a major problem. What are the options?
We can ignore the potential reality as merely a possibility. Or complete denial. We can pretend we're more than we really are. This at least maintains the illusion within the drop. If we're still relatively superior within our drop, we're ok. Well more or less. It at least creates some feelings of comfort and security and competence and relative superiority which tide us over. All of this is ofc a problem. And it is not because of the inherent deception of it. That also. But it's because the goals themselves are defective. Those are ego Aspect goals which the ego has sold to the rest of the Self as being actual, real, valuable, and important goals. But ofc they are _not_ necessarily so. In some selected and particular Contexts, yes, they can be and are Appropriate, but certainly not as Overall Goals.
The ego Aspect's goals and beliefs are thus severely corrupting factors. Because the ego Aspect is so bent on superiority, it is inherent in its make-up, it just assumes that what is good for it is good for everything and everyone else. Thus it constantly attempts to foist its goals and motivations onto the rest of the Self.
So...
[10:56:34 AM] Biella: So Self-Perception is a vital aspect of internal peace and happiness. Awareness though, is a complicating factor. As we become more and more Aware, our Self-Perception is severely affected. The more Aware we become, the smaller we become relatively. This is ofc not a problem, unless it's believed to be so. If we ascribe being small with a problem, that we have a problem with our ever-increasing Awareness. If we have adopted, usually inadvertently, the ego Aspects premium on relative size, then Awareness becomes a real and direct threat. If we see being small as undesirable and negative and a Self-Perception we thus don't like and want, then our ever-expanding Awareness becomes a major problem. And we have to shut it down or curtail it.
But,...
[10:59:53 AM] Biella: But ofc if we love exploring, if we love roaming, if we love abundance, if we don't care a whit about our size, we are minuscule no matter what anyway, then the more and More of what our Awareness brings us is simply more and more bounty. We are in heaven thus with all the More which constantly comes our way. It's no longer overwhelming, but a gift.
It all depends on the Angle of Perception. It all depends thus on our Perspectives. Why it's so Imperative to learn to Perspective-Shift.
We...
[11:20:57 AM] Biella: We can Leverage the extended Awareness from being a threat to being a boon. Let's take the example of physical threat. When we become Aware of more ways for instance in which we can be at risk, along with that Awareness is also the seeds of how we can potentially deal with those risks. We thus now have more information to work with. Our options have increased. Ofc in many cases like this remaining ignorant has advantages because when we didn't know, we didn't see the need to take precautions and the necessity for effort in that regard. And in some cases of physical risk, there is a limit to the preparations we can make.
It's in precisely these instances that the expression. "Where ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise," comes into play and has some merit. But that ofc is not the reality we do experience. And to deliberately maintain ignorance is ofc a choice, but once we know, there's no going back really. Our only real option is to Make Peace with the reality. To see it as Useful knowing about more risks also allows us to know about more options for dealing with them. And it also allows us to be aware of the statistical probabilities. This is an Awareness we ourselves can add to our Awareness. This is one of the ways we can make Awareness work for us.
When it comes to our example of Awareness of physical risk, the Awareness of the statistical probability of it happening to us being very small, is a huge stress mitigating factor. As long as we maintain it in Awareness ofc, and don't get consumed by the distorted perspectives which happen when we place our Awareness exclusively on the fear and stress aspects.
We can inadvertently crimp our Awareness, because we don't want to know the Awful Truths out there. We don't necessarily go into denial of what we do know. We just don't want to be Aware of even more Awful Truths. So we don't actively and aggressively pursue Awareness. This is the state of the world in general it seems to me.
But...

[11:27:30 AM] Biella: But, Awareness and Implication are inextricably linked. And when we do experience those whale shadows, it's in the end impossible to prevent the implications of making it into Awareness. We are constructed in such a way that we want to know. We want to know because ofc, in the Overall, it's way way better to know than to not know. No matter how overwhelming or threatening it may be now. The brain and the body, mind and the Self, all of them will find a way for us to know.
And the marvel of it is we try to find gentle ways of making ourselves Aware of what for some reason or another we do not wish to be Aware of. The sad part of this all is that the Reasons why we wish to not know are reasons which are supported and derived from artificial goals. Those goals motivate us. But the problem lies in our Belief that those goals are actually Valid. When ofc they are not.
Take ...
[11:45:01 AM] Biella: Take the goal of Self-Preservation. It's only valuable when it is combined with physical self-preservation. Our Self, as in our personality, character, beliefs, attitudes, Awareness and so on, is ofc not a constant thing. It's changed considerably from when we were babies. It's only the false logic of ego, that has put a halt on the continued development and change of the Self. It's only because ego deems its relative spot of comfort and coziness due to its relative dominance, and its passing along of this idea, that we have come to believe that it is good to Self-preserve where we have come to rest.
Small changes which are incrementally acquired and don't rock the boat are acceptable as they are typically not noticed or not significant enough to fuss over. But to constantly be changing and being a new and different person in essence - how on earth is the ego Aspect going to maintain any sense of dominance and superiority if this is so. Status and image and approval all depend on there actually being something to have status and image and to be approved of.
This does not mean we're all raging egomaniacs. Not in the least. But even small amounts of insignificant ego Aspect can have this inadvertent consequence.
Thus, when we do make efforts to raise our Awareness, no matter what the original motivation, whether it came from something as sensible as safety and security, or came from ambition, or predilection, it doesn't matter. It's consequential. And if we have some form of self-preservation as a goal, psychological self-preservation, then the Implications derived from what we become Aware of, can become extremely threatening, and even, if left undealt with, morph in being perceived as overwhelming. The longer we put off dealing with those implications, the larger the relative difference becomes, and is perceived to be, and the more and more overwhelming even simple Awful Truths become.
The thing with Awful Truths ofc is that they are typically only awful because of Perception and Perspective.
They...
[11:50:49 AM] Biella: They are seldom actually awful, in the psychological realm. It's the conflation with physical awfulness which leads to many perceptual inaccuracies. And thus unnecessary problems. Once we realize that the increased Awareness can be utilized as a boon, with the appropriate Leverage we can employ via psychological techniques such as Perspective-Shifting, Selective-Emphasis and De-emphasis, Mood-Management and so on, it greatly reduces and pretty much eliminates the Awful Part of Awful Truths. They simply become additional Awareness, which we can use and employ as Appropriate.
The...
[11:56:14 AM] Biella: The crux and pertinence of all of this lies in Change. In the ability to be able to Change, through Choice. Or more accurately, to be able to adapt and thus change, as Appropriate. Ofc, it's only when we put a premium of some sort in maintaining where we are at psychologically, when we are reluctant to adapt and change and to deal with what we have become Aware of, that problems arise. If we aren't locked into Self-preservation of a particular Way-of-Being, or psychological formulation and conception of ourselves, then we can adapt and react, respond and flow as needed, and as Appropriate. Without any stress.
It...
[12:08:57 PM] Biella: It is rigidity of Self that's the problem, when we cling to the idea of ourselves we have created, when we perceive moving away from it is disadvantageous. It's when we perceive giving up the coziness and comforts and other benefits, (such as relative superiority benefits the ego Aspect deems so crucial) that we run into problems and get blocked from changing and adapting as circumstances deem Appropriate.
This all leads to the overarching issue of Trust. It's difficult to Trust in the Unknown. Having a fluid and flexible self is more difficult to Trust in than a fixed and known Self. But that is ofc a misperception. And it's also a majorly flawed belief and perception.
Trust in what we know, which is in essence trusting our direct experiences, is a trust in facts, in the static, and it is a trust of the past as a guide. It is a trust on specifics, on detail, on information.
What this kind of trust and Perspective of Self is Not, is a Trust in capability based on the Ability to be Adaptive. It is not a Trust based on our ability to be flexible, fluid, creative, responsive, and thus ultimately to be Appropriate to the new. Trusting the rigid self is thus a very very limited trust. It pertains to the known. Or to what is little different to the known and to that with which we have become familiar and comfortable and feel we can deal with.
It...
[12:22:40 PM] Biella: It is trust based on specific and detailed awareness rather than Trust derived from our Ability to Abstract.
Adaptability, fluidity, and flexibility all rely on the transference of experience and ability and competence etc, from one situation to another. And in order to do that we have to use Abstract Conception. This is ofc not some vague and difficult thing. We do it automatically when we use language. Pretty much everything we perceive we are able to know what it is because of abstraction. It is what language really is. Chair, car tree, etc, all vary tremendously from individual instance to instance, but we can recognize them as such due to our innate ability to abstract. We simply have to learn to Deliberately employ this mechanism.
When we use this ability to transfer our competence, then it's simple to Trust ourselves. All we really need to do is Trust that we can. Trust we can Adapt. Trust we can be flexible. And above all, Trust we can Figure It Out. And Trust ourselves to let go of rigidity. Trust we don't need to have clarity from the start in order to get some measure of clarity at the end.
Trust ourselves when we do not immediately know. Trust that a bit of walking in the dark will lead us to the light switch, or that it will gradually become clear as we proceed. All we need to do is Trust that our eyes will adjust to the dark if given the chance. Trust thus that a bit of Persistence and Determination goes a long way. Particularly if we add some Adamance to the mix.
If...

[12:27:08 PM] Biella: If we Trust that things do not always have to be precise and exactly known, if we Trust that we will get there, if we are Patient, if we learn to become OK with not-knowing right away, if we learn to become Ok with the Implications of this, especially as it pertains to the ego Aspect, then it greatly enhances our ability to Adapt. And thus we significantly enhance our ability to be competent and to Change as needed and as Appropriate, which is pretty much all of the time.
When we consider when it is that we are stressed, it's inevitably because we have not Appropriately adjusted and adapted to the situation. Ofc this Appropriateness of Adaption and adjustment sometimes means we take less action and sometimes more. Sometimes we simply go along with whatever, sometimes we take the lead and initiate. It all depends.
It...
[12:37:04 PM] Biella: It all depends on our Ability to perceive what is Appropriate. For this Awareness is ofc a vital tool. Appropriateness is not an absolute. It's always relative. Appropriateness is determined by what our goals and motivations are. By what we wish to accomplish and by what the Context is. And there can be many Contexts which apply to any particular situation or circumstance. What can be Appropriate in one context might not be Appropriate in another.
But it's not really difficult to determine Appropriateness. All we really have to do is bring it into Awareness. We do so innately. But when we do so deliberately, we add to the mix those Contexts which are not immediate. And those can make a huge difference.
Larger Context added to immediate Context makes a huge difference. For instance, when we are irritated. In the immediate context it might seem Appropriate to feel irritated, after all the thing that irritated us was irritating. But in a delicate negotiation of Diplomacy or with a boss or some such, experiencing the irritation could result in derailing the entire situation and affecting our larger context goals. Thus is the larger context, not feeling and reacting to the source of irritation is Appropriate. It then ofc becomes a choice of what we Value more.
The focus here is on Adaptability, and change. When we consider larger Contexts, it's much much easier to adapt and change, as we then realize the Huge values and Usefulness typically involved.
Much...
[12:41:09 PM] Biella: Much of Change and Adaptability depends on what we're prepared to give up. The payments we are often asked to make. And this brings us full circle with the entire discussion, or Overall Perspective.
When we come to have stick points in terms of what we are not prepared to give up, and when those stick points are artificial, then it severely limits our options. And ofc we can become stuck when faced with the necessity or desirability of Change. If we for instance do not want to give up coziness, this inhibits Change and Adapting.
And....
[12:56:20 PM] Biella: And much of psychological coziness is rooted in our perception of our belief in our World-View. When we believe we "know how the world works," even if it is more or less, we feel competent and secure. And ofc any experiences we come across which, by implication, bring into Awareness that in fact the World might not work as we believe, then we become threatened.
But sadly this is an unnecessary belief and stress. If we simply shift our belief from knowing and believing and thinking we know how the world works, and accept that whatever we believe is merely temporary, and shift our belief to Trusting ourselves to figure it out as we go along, then life becomes immeasurably simpler.
If we can only learn to say "So what? So what if I don't know. so what if I am wrong, so what if now suddenly I am a noob again, what does it matter? It is only a relative change." In the absolute we are ofc always not-knowing and learning and becoming Aware of more and More. But the nature of the situation is that as we know more and more, we become more and more Aware of how much more there is relative to what we ourselves know. So in that sense we become smaller and smaller relatively. But this is simply a matter of us becoming Aware of the immensity of the Universe and life and everything. How can we not be small compared to the immensity of it all. It's not overwhelming, it is simply what it is. And the smaller we are relatively, the more magnificence and bounty and wonder there is out there for us to access, explore, use, and derive Value from!
The...
[1:08:12 PM] Biella: The only time this can be a stressful issue is if we have distorted our Perspective in some way. This typically happens when we cling to ideas and beliefs about our Self. It's when we lock ourselves into limiting Self-Definitions that we become threatened with being overwhelmed. Because when we are thus so clearly and definitively defined, we tend to change slowly, if at all. And, in relation to our Awareness of the world, our defined self-definition gets further and further behind. We come to realize that what we have locked ourselves into, and what was awesome and valuable in the small context, is ofc not so in the ever-increasing Context we continually become Aware of. This can be a very stressful situation. Giving up coziness is typically not regarded as fun. But again, it is ofc only Perspective which affects and influences this Perception.
If we shift our Perspective-of-Value from being cozy with clear definitions, to being cozy with a greater range of definitions for instance. Now we are cozy being explorers, as an example, and that means that coziness is easier to leave when needed. This does not mean our actions in life need to change very much at all. We can in fact do the same things. What has simply changed is our Perception-of-Self relative to the world.
In most cases that's all that's really needed. Simply Making Peace with the fact that in fact we are not nearly as overwhelmingly dominant and superior as we like to believe we are within our drop of existence goes a long way. When we realize that being part of an ocean is not really a big deal. It in actuality changes our day to day experience of life very little, then it's no problem to be Aware. Then when the whale's shadow falls on us we don't freak out. We have accepted there are whales out there, and typically they pass us by. And if they do happen to swallow us, well then that's our fate and lot and when that happens we will then see what is to do be done.
Until...

[1:18:57 PM] Biella: Until then we have the choice on Making-The-Best-Of-It, or not. We can stress and suffer, or not. It's our Choice. But sadly many of these stresses are self-induced, simply because we are not prepared to give up on our cherished beliefs and entrenched self-definitions. It's thus the inability to Change and Adapt that's the real source of our stress. Typically we're reluctant to Change and Adapt because we've come to perceive a largeness of some kind which makes us believe Changing and Adapting is impossible or pointless. How can a little fishy become a Whale??
Well how did an embryo become a person? It happens. Just because we do not know how, doesn't mean it can't. All it means is that we don't know how. Yet. When we factor in Awareness of things like Exponential Change, well, then that makes taking on the seemingly impossible a lot lot easier and plausible.
Which brings us back to Trust. When our Trust is shifted to our Ability to change and adapt, to being flexible and fluid, to being Appropriate to the circumstances we find ourselves in, then dealing with what we have become Aware of and what seems like an impossible task, becomes something we _can_ do. If we had had the awareness as an embryo of the task of becoming a person, then we might have believed it to be impossible also. And overwhelming. It's an instance of where ignorance is indeed beneficial.
But....
[1:28:22 PM] Z: Just finished now :)
[1:29:21 PM] Biella: But the development of the embryo, baby, and child are influenced by ever-decreasing factors outside of its choice. As we grow and develop, as we move more and more towards independence, we become Aware of Independence itself, and of its desirability. And this means at some point we have to start to deliberately Choose our own Path. This in turn means when it comes to facing our future growth, from the tiny fishy to the relative vastness of the whale, then at some point this means that we are going to have to embark on this journey with Awareness of the goal. And of its huge relative difference to where we are at. But ofc, we simply have to use our Awareness of where we are now relative to where we have been, to reduce the impossibility of it all. And to use the Awareness that simply because we can't see how, and that it seems impossible, means nothing at all. After all, our very existence now, is proof of the impossible we have already achieved. From embryo to person is indeed in many respects an impossibility.
And thus, all we really have to do is Trust. Trust the Process-of-Life. Trust it happened despite us not knowing how it does so exactly. And thus, we have to Trust ourselves. Trust we will develop and change as the forces of nature and life work their magic on us. That is if we do not do anything to inhibit and restrict the natural course of life from unfolding. It's merely a conceptual conceit and belief to believe becoming an adult is the apex of our lives.
It is but a beginning.
[1:29:42 PM] Biella: Excellent. I have just finished now. :D :D :D
Biella: Haha, I just go where the line of the focus takes me. Where the Pertinence directs me. and to how Relevance dictates. :)
Biella: Lol, this is ofc all connected in one way or another, to a greater or lesser degree, and sometimes none at all, to your tsunami dreams. In order to make the points that I do believe are relevant I sometimes need to make supporting points and those need to be supported and so on. So often this brings into the laying out of much which is not directly relevant. But it is needed nonetheless.
Mostly...
[1:48:57 PM] Biella: Mostly, what I am doing is avoiding giving my opinion. I could say all of the above in a few sentences probably. But without substantiation, especially when the conclusion is far removed from the substantiation, they are just meaningless disconnected opinions, without much Use and Value.
When it comes to the Sharing of Perspectives of this nature, much is going to depend on some back and forth. There is inevitably going to be some measure of communication where there is not clear overlap of Understanding due to word usage, associations, and interpretations etc. It's seldom as clear cut as: I agree, or not. Usually when we don't agree there's a large measure of misunderstanding that's a significant factor. In order to be sure, we have to be sure we know what's actually meant, and not what we _believe_ is meant. And the only way to be sure, the only way we can really agree or disagree is if we have Verified what we believe to be our understanding. Until then, it is merely a belief that we understand what another means.
This is for me a New Nobility thing since TakeAways, the way they use them, are not particularly practical in most usual circumstances. That doesn't mean we can't change our circumstances, particularly who and how we choose to interact and communicate and understand. :) <3
If there,s something you disagree with or are unclear about, I am keen to Hear, because typically it involves miscommunication of some sort. When we Trust the Intent of the other to be Impeccable, then, we default to seeking more Awareness and Understanding before we formulate any opinions and perceptions and perspectives about what we encounter and what's Shared. We look to thus Understand, and once we connect to the incredible Joys and Value of Capital U Understanding, which we acquire via our incredible receptivity founded on that Capital T Trust which we've built on our Awareness of all that's involved, then our Path is always a Path-To-More.

The Myth of Superiority

Excerpted from: The Biella Series
K: I'm going to a Rumble and the topic is, "Are some humans "superior" to others?" :)
Biella: Most excellent and most interesting. Manifestations of Intent. (Or Focus) :)
K: :) Not sure how I'll argue they aren't.
Biella: This kind of thing happens so so so often to me,
something relevant and pertinent which has been a subject of focus,
comes up in other areas of my life.
Happens to everyone ofc,
but most don't notice.
When things are too preposterous for regular logic,
we tend to ignore them.
But the world doesn't work the way we think it does.
Ah, also...
the argument against Superiority is the Effort-Reward Circle.
Thus,
someone has what seems like advantageous qualities or attributes,
but,
especially if we look closely,
there's inevitably additional effort required
in acquiring and maintaining those qualities.
Life is marvellously balanced when it's regarded
from the perspective of the Effort-Reward Circle.
That's indeed why it is a circle.
There's no better or worse on the Effort-Reward Circle.
Where we are on that circle,
is purely a matter of Personal Choice.
How much effort each individual deems to be worth the reward
is an evaluation that only the individual can make.
Motivations, goals, predilections, ambitions, Life-Paths etc.
are all so incredibly varied,
and personal.
We can never really be sure what precisely
are the internal circumstance of an individual.
The individual themselves are seldom privy to all that's internally involved.
Abilities take time and effort to acquire.
But what most do not realise is there's an exponential factor involved.
To acquire reasonable proficiency is relatively easy.
It requires effort that's not inordinate.
But moving from reasonable proficiency to expert,
or "superior,"
requires exponentially more effort.
But...!!!
We see naturals and believe they are the exceptions
who prove Superiority exists.
But ofc that's only when we look at specific Attributes, qualities, and skills.
"Naturals" are typically so in one area only.
The rest requires effort like anything else.
Also, just having a special ability and talent,
and maintaining it,
applying it and dealing with others who don't have it,
all require effort.
And that's only when it comes to abilities, attributes, talents etc.
They rather obviously do not make for a "Superior" Person.
When we actually goes into detail as to what "Superior" actually means,
we'll discover a wide variety of definitions and Perceptions.
If we take "Superior" to be moral and ethical
there's no question of the Effort involved.
The more we apply those,
the more the efforts involved escalate.
Again, it's an exponential escalation.
Then we come to Awareness, intelligence, cleverness etc.
All of these have the same factor involved:
The more you know,
the more you know how much more there is to know.
Thus the efforts and energies involved rise correspondingly.
For those who believe, these qualities are inherently superior and valuable,
they but have to look a bit more closely
at what it actually takes for those who have these qualities or abilities, to acquire them.
It's all too easy to become overwhelmed by the sheer mass of data thus perceived,
and the stresses which result from this.
Having more options thus is a blessing and a boon.
And again,
it all balances out.

Therefore "Superiority" is a myth.
A myth of perception.
We see the results without considering the efforts required to obtain them.
When we include effort as a consideration
and weigh it against reward,
it's not a simple matter at all.
Then it comes down to personal choice.
No-one can say any choice is "superior" to any other.
No matter how much WE may deem it to be,
our perception of superiority is based on personal factors.
When it comes to Effort-Reward there's no objective standard which can be applied.
This is why the New Nobility have
The Effort-Reward Circle incorporated into their logo.
It's a most vital and foundational aspect
of their overall perspective and Philosophy.
They make inordinate efforts to constantly communicate
the Effort-Reward Circle,
as it's the Superiority Paradigm which has historically
been the root source of the troubles of people.
This communication and understanding of Effort-Reward,
and that it's a Circle, with no better or worse,
just choice,
has enabled and allowed for everyone
to feel okay with where they are
and to be more or less at Peace with their choices.
The inordinate efforts of communicating and disseminating this concept
have removed from the common perception the notion of "Superiority."
Anyone claiming to be so is automatically understood
to have made extra efforts to be where they are at,
and that offsets the advantages.
So in the end,
it's not really "superior" at all.
Just more effort.
"Superiority" is simply a Trade-off,
and thus balanced.
This is how come the New Nobility are so popular.
They never have any implied
or inadvertent air of "superiority" surrounding them,
since built into their Way-of-Being,
and also actively exuded by them,
held in their Awareness for all to access,
is this clear and thorough Awareness and Understanding
that they are what they are,
because of the inordinate efforts they have made.
And that it's a trade-off they have chosen for personal reasons.
Thus they are Humble.
Their full Understanding and communication of this fact,
and the fact that this inordinate effort is a personal Choice alone,
allows them to communicate with their very Beings.
They Share, via Being, that to them,
everyone
is fine just where they are.
The New Nobility simply see Difference.
And they love it,
they celebrate Difference.
People in general love them for this,
because they truly do see it this way.
They have thus successfully managed to unhook from the myth of the "Superiority" Paradigm.
Once we know,
Understand, and fully comprehend,
the Effort-reward Circle,
how can we feel "superior" or "better" than others?
How?
Anyone who has made the efforts required for self-improvement
knows that often the rewards don't seem to be worth the efforts at all.
Because once we embark on this path,
improvements lead to further areas which require Attention.
What's an improvement to me is not so for another.
So how, just how,
can anyone who is Aware of these factors,
still believe in "Superiority" and feel so?
This brings us to a peculiarity of psychology.
We've simply come to believe we "should" strive to feel superior,
and that this is a real Value.
It's based on raw survival values
where superiority sometimes did have real benefits.
But again, ofc,
even there, it was Effort-Reward.
One might argue that when it came to surviving or not,
making that extra effort,
actually did result in superiority of a sort.
But then,
if one is surviving at the expense of another,
how "superior" is that?

Community, cooperation and utilising the benefits
of the whole being larger than the sum of the parts,
is far more effective and efficient when it comes to survival,
and indeed also when it comes to evolution.
Community is where one might argue "superiority" actually resides.
The notion of a "superior" individual
when compared to community and society makes the very notion irrelevant.
But psychology hangs onto this idea of "superiority,"
even if it's merely relative.
How "superior" is any individual compared to a god,
or the Universe?
Not very much at all.
So to be enamoured by relative superiority,
even if it actually existed,
seems absurd in this context.
The idea and notion superiority is somehow inherently better
and makes us "special" and thus worthy of attention,
and thus praise and adulation and so on,
is an idea which is so entrenched
it's difficult for many to escape from.
But this is merely an assigned value,
not a real Value.
We merely believe there's Value to ego, status, praise etc.
As celebrities regularly discover,
the reality is not as desirable as it was believed to be.
The bottom line truth of it all is that ofc no amount of outside approval
can mitigate the internal realities of self,
or compensate for them.
In the end we have to deal with the internal truths of our Beingness.
Only then,
when feeling good is internally generated,
do we truly feel good.
And then ofc,
external sources become irrelevant.
Thus... when it comes to "superiority,"
it's again an empty myth,
a worthless pursuit which generates no real value.
That's not even taking into account the extra efforts required
to obtain these supposed benefits.
Yet many cling to this idea.
Often because they simply do not have access to alternatives,
or,
they do not wish to deal with the internal Awful Truths they believe lurk within.
"Superiority,"
and all of it's associated connections and implications
is therefore a myth of convenience.
Typically it's a handy cop-out for not accepting the reality of self,
and all of the implications inherent in full Self-Honesty.
All of this has not been considered from the perspective of:
We-are-all-One.
There's considerable argument, logic, reason,
and also evidence,
to support this perspective.
If everyone else is merely an aspect of myself,
a version, an alternative path,
a representation of different choices and their consequences,
then how could I possibly be superior to myself?
And, as many spiritual and religious traditions so firmly believe,
that we and the Universe, or us and God,
are in the end all One,
then how can superiority even exist?
It's thus a fictitious and irrelevant concept.
As such it should be assigned to the rubbish bin of false conceptions.
"Superiority" is a virus of the mind when looked at in its entirety.
Haha, it's a topic that's important to me.
I hope maybe there's something useful in there for you to use.
"How superior is "Superiority" really
when one considers the efforts involved to be so.
Is it really worth it?
Who can say?
Only the individual."
K: Just came home and read your responses.
Biella: :) :D
K: So, I said: It's easy to conflate superior skills and abilities with innate superiority.
There is no innate superiority.
Biella: Excellent.
K: :)
Biella: The Effort-Reward perspective helps inordinately.
It gives people something to work with when considering
where they are at in Life.
So, it might be superior,
but is it worth the hassle?
That makes people at ease with their life-choices,
and that's excellent. :)
And ofc,
when one then realises it's all about personal choice,
well, then it all becomes simple,
and we realise there's only differences of choice.
Most excellent to me.
And powerful when it comes to personal psychology.
How can we feel "special" or "superior"
when we realise, what we are,
is simply a function of our choices in regard to effort and reward.
:) <3
This,
to me,
an Everything-Changing Perspective.

Winds of the World (Transforming Loss)

Their Free Chat flowed inward.
The mood of the idea of sharing
so intimately,
taking hold on the crowd.
Biella said nothing.
A delicate breeze had come by.
Nobelia incredibly generous with weather.
The breeze touched here, whispered there,
collecting it seemed,
the collective mood and feel of the crowd.
Circulated back to Biella
she absorbed it,
absorbing the crowd,
absorbing its collective Intent.
Biella felt Moreness build in her,
a response,
a response of collective expression.
Her Attunement with the crowd intense.
Moved to be poetic,
Biella let loose her artistry,
compelled to share in reverent tones,
she quoted:
“Remembering the choices,
remembering the dreams,
remembering the nuance,
there lies the heart.
Sailing the seas of our sorrows...
but it can turn.
We can be one.
Commitment to...
As always,
I repeat my litany:
"This too shall pass...This too shall pass..."
Storms never last.
Going inward,
with honesty -
going into the next,
we bid farewell -
no regrets no laments,
yes?
How do I honour thee? Love that is me?
I fear the loss, the sinking,
but yet I float,
floating is not an idea,
imagination is an idea.
The Seas-of-Life are for sailing.
Sailing is alignment,
sailing is flow,
the flow of what is:
Attunement -
are we attuned to our love or our loss?
We cannot sail directly into a wind.
We can sail at an angle into it
yes.
Heavy going,
slow.
The same with simply letting the wind push us.
No creativity, no enhancement.
Sailing the wind,
truly sailing the wind,
requires embracing it, using it,
flowing its power around and through us.
When combined,
we go faster than the wind,
we are More.
Pity a drag,
pity only for ourselves -
no honour in pity.
We believe we need to care with our sorrow.
Sorrow doesn't nourish the ship,
only love of joy can nourish.
Sorrow an anchor.
Too long at anchor and the rot sets in.
Our Ship-of-Self needs to sail,
to envelope the Wind of Love.
Life-Sailing is celebration,
a celebration of the joy of power,
the power of memory.
The power of memory filling us with feeling.
Only in joy can we honour
that power of the memory of Love.
Love of the memory manifest as now.
Blowing its power from within us.
This Soul-Sailing is Living.
We fear the rough shores of disapproval,
the eddies and undertows of expectation.
But we forget,
we forget we are free to sail the oceans of our Love.
Our Love is endless,
going everywhere, touching all,
encircling us.
It's not the all of us,
we are More.
The ocean is never truly quiet,
there is change, newness,
we traverse,
we do not float.
We embrace the full power of that love
as it blows us to lands anew.
Lands anew of hope,
lands anew of promise,
lands anew of opportunity.
All the while our breeze from the sea
blows upon our heart, nourishing and sustaining.
Sometimes more, sometimes quiet.
As Soul-Sailors we are modest,
we know the wind is more than us,
we know it is connecting with wind,
at the right time, in the right way,
that is our strength.
This Wind is Spirit.
As sailors of life the wind is our lover.
We are intertwined.
We know the wind is never fully ours.
It never was.
It flows over us, in us,
and through us.
We are lucky when the wind and us are one.
We know the Wind-of-Love is a gift which comes,
and a gift which goes.
Goes on to blow across the heavens.
We cannot cling to a Love-Wind forever.
It is now a wind elsewhere.
We know too,
this wind will come again,
such Power-Winds are never the same,
but it is wind,
and,
the Love of wind
is the wind of Love.
Even on land,
wind brings us joy, a smile of knowing,
a remembrance of the glory of its force.
We know the Power of the Wind-of-Love.
We know we sail again,
we know there are many many ways to Soul-Sail.
Master sailors now,
we sail on land,
in the air,
in our hearts,
in our dreams.
The Joy of Wind is ever with us
as is our Love, who is no more...”

Leveraging Personal Expression

Syl: Yes, most absolutely. They are mostly useless for others, but the act of explaining is very powerful. But more so when Expressing rather than explaining. Expressing ourselves is most powerful, even if no one is listening.
When we immerse in expressing, doing so in a particular way, we are able to leverage ourselves and access More. Much more. It very much depends on what we are expressing. You said inner self, and that's what immersed me into More.
For me, it is the expression of *Significant* events within the inner self which are particularly relevant. To simply describe the inner self is ofc to me a bit of a fool's errand, because hopefully the inner self is changing, as it learns and grows and adapts, as appropriate.
But Significant Experiences, or Memorable Events, those things which stick with us internally, those are the ones which benefit massively from the particular type of expression I'm talking about. They stick with us for a reason. because they inevitably hold more that we think they do.
Now the particular type of expression is a big deal. If we simply just say what is in there, we simply express what we already know. But, if we come at those experiences or memories from the angle of expressing them in their entirety, as completely as possible, we access a lot More than we know is there beforehand. Doing them full and complete justice, as if one were being commissioned to express them, yields insights and understandings we were unaware existed. Thus an impeccable thoroughness needs to come into play.
We can Leverage this motivation and focus inside us by writing a post for instance. Well, for me, this has been most valuable. When I make a post, I'm writing and expressing something, because it is public, internally I have to be comfortable with it. Otherwise it would be a lie. I cannot do that. So automatically there's a mechanism which kicks in that leverages us. To express the truth as we see it. And by implication, the whole truth, again, as we see it. Such public expression Leverges our honesty, and even if no-one reads our post, they *could,* this commits us via our honesty to stand behind what we Share. The consequence from this is we come to be what we Share in this way. It's incredibly powerful.
Immersion is the key when it comes to memories. This is where the magic happens. We start the expression and as we immerse in expressing in this particular manner, we find there is More. The entire point of the exercise. We do not always access that More of our significant experiences. It's difficult without the Leverage of thorough immersion. But when we do, when we Immerse into them we connect to More, beyond what we anticipate.
There's another particular aspect which comes into the Leverage when we make a personal expression as a post and put some extra into it. It's the door which is opened through creativity and artistry. Those connect us to the abstract. And inevitably, that's where that More resides.

The Grace of Intensity
"Grace is a Power."

Biella added, "...The Abstract of things intrigued The Young Man no end. More importantly, he made an effort to always remember, as he would repeatedly say: 'The Obvious is not always the Obvious.' And, 'The Obvious is not always Obvious, *until* it was obvious.' There *is* a difference. That difference was very significant to the YM."
"He also loved Fine Discrimination," Fine Noble smiled half apologetically. "His words, not mine."
"When the YM had been setting up his memory and his mind, when he had been considering learning and instructions regarding Translation-Mechanisms, he had had another Profound insight." Biella paused for Eluminia.
"He was full of them," Eluminia said soberly. "He lived a profound life. He looked for the Profound, he sought the Profound, he absorbed it, installed it every opportunity he could. He *Used* the Profound. What was Profound to him he always made every effort to incorporate into his life. Or mostly, to be more accurate, he incorporated himself into the Profoundness. He would make Profound changes to himself and his life in order to accommodate his Personally Profound insights. Always a huge deal to him. Never caring if it was Profound to the greater world. He did not consider his own insights in such a way. If it was Profound to him, he stopped his life until he could fully integrate with the Profoundness. What's more, he never let go of that feeling of Profoundness. He would often say how the most tiniest of things could have enormously Profound implications and consequences. It affected him deeply. He never let go of the Understanding and Awareness that if he had not reacted so deeply to those small but Profound insights and understandings, his life might have been completely different. How he might have missed out completely. He never forgot that."
Eluminia looked the Group over with a fierce glare. "The Profound importance of what is Personally Profound, is something the New Nobility constantly strive to bring to bear in their own personal lives. We can all learn from the Young Man in this." Eluminia had a deep connection to what she said. Almost as if she was remembering. It was intense.
The Aspirants looked suitably affected. Biella simply sat still for a long while, considering Eluminia's earnest intent herself. Profoundness most dear to her also.
"'The Profound is so important, so critical, so influential, so consequential. How can we *not* change everything when encountering the Profound.' - The Young Man," Biella quoted, "From his Collected Writings."

Leverage the Situation

To be open to what's not expected, that's *the* thing. That's the whole deal. Almost everything in life isn't really how it's "supposed" to be, when we really look at matters closely.
There are many different ways of getting what we want, many different ways of doing what's needed. Combining opposites is such a different option. So that to me also means considering what you believe to be impossible, and merging it with what you do believe is possible.
I don't care how slim the chance, if my soul depends on it I assume it to be a chance. A chance, just one, is all that's needed. If we have no trust in those slim chances being a possibility then of course they never ever will happen. One slim chance on its own doesn't add up to much. But out of all the possible chances, the majority of them, when looked at individually, will be slim chances. So if we don't believe in slim chances we reduce our chances in total considerably. Its not the specific slim chance that's the issue, but being open to slim chances themselves, that's the issue.
One has to be Impeccable in these matters, yes, like a knight. That to me is a crucial and vital aspect of all of this. Our Impeccability.
So, maybe...
I can only say in this matter from my experience. But this is how it has worked for me. Being Impeccable and thus checking out and looking at options, regardless of how slim they may be is like saying to Intent I am truly serious about my dream and desire. Many of us "want" things we don't really want. So it's like a test; am I for real in this? It's a mechanism to make sure of the seriousness of our Intent/Want, when it comes to the Universe, to make it obvious we're not fooling around.
Are we willing to make effort? Are we willing to do what it takes? These matters are never a straight line, like the way a chess knight moves. Whatever the initial point was which made us act, is seldom the end reason. It's just to get us started. One thing leads to another, and before you know it, you have learned and discovered things you would not have, had you not been Impeccable, and followed that lead.

It's detective work. One has to follow every lead, doesn't matter where it points. Oftentimes the value lies in elimination. The point is the doing. Doing because Impeccability demands it. The initial reason is just a start, like a clue. It's to get us to do what we otherwise would not. Through those doings, we will find what we need to find. In my experience, I have always, I mean *always* found treasure and value which came in most useful to my goal. It's hard to comprehend, it doesn't make logical sense, but it's indeed like swimming with only one hand, doesn't seem possible, but it is.
To re-state; being open to what's not expected is a technique and mechanism which makes things super simple, particularly when combined with Impeccability. We simply *do* what Impeccability demands. We act like knights, leaving no stone unturned.
But there is actually a very very good logic to all of the above. I call it Meta-Logic.
You want something but you do not know exactly how to get what you want. Thus there's knowledge outside your ken. You have to connect to what you do not know. To get to what we don't know, to what is thus outside of our sphere, we have to go outside of ourselves.
This is why good detectives follow those clues which don't seem to point in the right direction. They know that it doesn't matter. Any path can circle back and connect. All that's needed is that one piece of info which makes it all click and fit together. Like when we've lost something, we have to look where it shouldn't be. That's what makes it lost. Same logic with knowledge. When we're missing something, when we don't have all the pieces, we have to follow those unlikely leads, they have a good chance of leading us to those unlikely places where the missing understanding is found.
Besides. If one has done everything else there is to do, don't we have to pursue those other options? We have to, otherwise it's game over. One never ever knows. How often have things been resolved in your life in the most unlikely of ways?
We in charge of our lives and our fates. No-one else.
This topic's on my mind a lot. It's a mechanism topic, an alternate-method topic. It's very much a combining of opposites. Logic and non-logic, reason and non-reason etc. Believing-Without-Believing, Acting-Without-Rewards. Another key component in this; Impeccability. Doing just because Impeccability demands it, nothing more. It's huge.
