The ‘Choice’ the Left Hates
The progressive socialist left has done a brilliant job restructuring language around a single word, “choice.” They have rather successfully redefined what that word means, as it relates to their ideological agenda. We can not debate that the left is very comfortable framing the murder of unborn babies, and now up to birth, as “choice.”
However, when it comes to the issue of school choice, the left in America — heavily supported by teacher’s unions — will fight you to the death.
Why?
Why does...

Army Wrong in the Case of Maj. Matthew Goldsteyn
I love my Army, but in the case of Major Matthew Goldsteyn, the Army is completely wrong. Here is why:
How can the Army charge this highly decorated Special Forces Green Beret officer with the premeditated murder of a known Taliban bomb maker in a combat zone, Afghanistan? Here is someone who had American blood on his hands. The absurdity comes in that the same Army decided to release a coward, deserter, whose actions resulted in the deaths of American Soldiers, Bowe Bergdahl. Are we to belie...

‘Choose Greatness’ or ‘Select Stupid’
When we came up with the idea of “Stuck on Stupid Saturday,” my website administrator, Marie, and I wondered if we could sustain the concept week to week. Boy howdy, we were wrong, at least so far. Up to this point, we have had multiple choices! Ya know, we constitutional conservatives love choices, progressive socialists only like one, the choice to murder unborn babies. But, I digress. Anyway, it has been abjectly fun, and I really mean downright humorous to review the countless stories of...

Choose Greatness, Choose Life
Back when Roe v. Wade was passed in 1973, the mandate was that abortion was to be safe, legal, and rare. Well, abortion was made legal, but to this day we can hardly claim it is safe, and certainly not rare.
We recently shared with you the number of procedures murdering unborn children globally last year, near 42M. And, we have stressed the fact that in the Black community there have been nearly 18M babies murdered in the womb since Roe v. Wade. In NYC more black babies were killed than born...

About that ‘Spark of Divinity,’ Nancy
First of all, thank y’all so very much for all of the kind birthday wishes, all across social media! And, a shout out to my “birthday brother,” Gary Galiano, of Jupiter, FL. We share the same birthday, and year, with just a few hours separating us.
But on this day of great blessings and joy, there is also news of tragedy . . . and evil.
Nancy Pelosi, when describing the vile and barbaric illegal immigrant gang from central America, MS-13, once described them as having a “spark of divinity,” a...

#SOTU 2019: ‘Choose Greatness’
With those two very simple words, President Donald Trump took the progressive socialist left out being the woodshed, as we say down South. The leftists, especially the women in white, were completely outmaneuvered and made to look completely unaware. The theme of that speech rendered the progressive socialist left cornered, after all, who would not want to choose greatness.
“We must choose between greatness or gridlock, results or resistance, vision or vengeance, incredible progress or point...

Comfortably Numb: The Manufactured Crisis
Move along, nothing going on here, it is all just a fabrication of your imagination.
When I think about the Democrats stance on border security I am reminded of the refrain from the Pink Floyd song, “Comfortably Numb:”
“You are only coming through in waves, your lips move, but I can’t hear what you’re saying.”Yes, we have indeed all become Comfortably Numb to the rantings and absurd rhetoric emanating from the political party of open borders and abolishing ICE.
There will be interesting thea...
Why Black History Month is Important to Me
It’s now Black History Month, a time to reflect and celebrate the achievements of American blacks in this great nation. We must look to the past in order to inspire us towards a brighter future. Here’s what I focus on in this month, remembering those who went before me, enabling me to be who and where I am.
My first sense of pride comes from having two great parents, the stable black family. This is the strength of our community. Sadly it has been utterly decimated in the past 50 years since...

Trump, Kavanaugh, and Northam
As of this moment, Virginia Governor, Ralph Northam, is still in office and appears to be intransigent about resigning.
Okay, unless you live under a rock, at the bottom of the sea with SpongeBob, you know exactly what I am talking about. It seems that there was a very disturbing 1984 yearbook photo from Governor Northam’s medical school that has a picture of two young men, one in blackface, and the other in full Ku Klux Klan regalia. The picture is on Ralph Northam’s yearbook page.
Initially...
Calling all the Archers
Yes, you may be scratching your head while pondering the title of this missive. One of the things we try to do here at the Old School Patriot is to inspire critical thinking. The title comes from the sermon delivered yesterday at Watermark Community Church by Senior Pastor, Todd Wagner. It was part of his series called, “How We Built This” — a very interesting spin on the proclamation of one Barack Obama who once asserted that if you own a business, you didn’t build that.
What Pastor Wagner w...
