Fascism of the Tyrannical Left in America

Well, the so-called “party of tolerance” has once again shown that they are anything but that. If there is one thing that should unite all liberty-loving people in America, it is a resolve to not be subjugated to the tyrannical ideological agenda of the progressive socialist left. I know you have heard me say that before, and I will keep saying it until we render their efforts and tactics irrelevant and ineffective. And, folks, this latest episode is really personal for me and my family.

As r...

Constitutional Cluelessness

Greetings, everyone! Welcome to our regular end of week bit of political respite that we call “Stuck on Stupid Saturday.” Now, I am sure there are many of you who have your recommendations for this week’s recognition. I had thought about dedicating Frank Sinatra’s “Come Fly with Me” to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, then perhaps the better song may have been the “Double Dutch Bus.” I also considered the two Freshmen Democrat Congresswomen, Rashida Tlaib and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, for their fo...

Defeating ISIS

I want to convey my sincere condolences to the families of our US Servicemen who lost their lives recently in Syria. As well, I pray that those wounded will have a swift recovery.

It is always good to take time to read and assess the situation before offering any commentary and analysis on such a grave matter. I have already offered my analysis of President Trump’s somewhat disconcerting decision to “tweet” out his plan to withdraw our 2,000+ troops from the Syrian theater of operations. This...

Judicial Activism Threatens 2020

I have said this before and will reiterate: the progressive socialist left does not believe in the three branches of government — Legislative, Executive, and Judicial. They advocate for the three branches of rule — academia, media, and the courts. Their belief has always been that anything that they cannot ram through using the legislative process, they will levy in the media and the courts. As well, their long game strategy is to use the platforms of academia to indoctrinate future generatio...

Hope for America’s Future

As you all know, I am a product of High School Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (HS ROTC). When my dad, “Buck” West, challenged me to be the first military officer in our family, my quest started in the JROTC program at Henry Grady HS in Atlanta. It was there that my instructors, all combat veterans from Korea and Vietnam, LTC Pagonis, Major Heredia, MSG Buchanan (a Vietnam POW), and SFC McMichael instilled in me the foundations of leadership that I carry to this day. They are the reaso...

The Definition of ‘Shall Not be Infringed . . . ‘

I often get questions about a coming civil war in America. I always respond by stating that I assess that we are already in an ideological civil war in America. This growing scourge of progressive socialism and blatant disregard of our Constitution, our rule of law, can not be dismissed or debated.

We have elected officials in our Constitutional Republic who openly embrace a philosophy of governance that is completely antithetical to the fundamental principles and values of America. And, God...

Hit the Left with Truth and They Holler

My dad, ol’ Herman “Buck” West, had a lot of great sayings. Heck, the ol’ folks down South were filled with witty wisdom. My dad used to say things like, “Boy, an empty wagon makes a lotta noise.” The meaning is that folks who ain’t that smart are normally the ones being the loudest, and most obnoxious, to cover their incompetence. He would tell me that “folks will know ya by the company that you keep” and “stay away from crabs in a barrel,” in other words, do not hang around people who want...

The Warrior Ethos

As well all know, SecDef James Mattis, a retired US Marine Corps 4-Star General, recently resigned from his position. He has been replaced by the former Deputy SecDef, someone with no military experience, who hails from the defense industry, namely Boeing. It will be important to fill the SecDef position but you can expect any new nominee for that position to run into the progressive socialist egalitarianism viewpoint of combat equality. The left believes that anyone should be able to fill an...

Other People’s Money

Howdy, y’all!

Where does the week go? Yes, it is time for another announcement of our weekly “Stuck on Stupid Saturday” recipient. Now, I must admit right up front, I was really leaning towards a joint awarding of this dubious distinction to Senator Schumer and Speaker Pelosi. I mean, who would be so desperate, and yes, stupid, as to render a rebuttal to a presidential Oval Office address, one that lasted less than 15 minutes, if I recall correctly. They both looked incredibly ignorant as the...

Consequences for Ignoring Border Security

Greetings, everyone!

I am here at my computer in my room at the Homewood Suites in Mobile, Alabama. I had a fantastic Thursday evening in Fairhope, Alabama, at the Page and Palette bookstore in the quaint downtown of this picturesque city on Mobile Bay. I was there for a book signing, and gave a presentation on the book with a Q&A session.

My dear friends and Alabama royalty, Dr. Gaylon and Susan McCollough, hosted me for the trip. As well, I was reunited with my former cadet from Kansas Stat...
