I discovered science fiction at age ten when I read the Lensman series by E. E. Doc Smith, and instantly fell in love with the genre.

After graduating from San Jose State University with a business degree, I worked at Intel for twenty-five years, starting as a software developer and retiring early as a Director of Application Development.

My wife Carolyn and I are blessed with two wonderful children. I love the outdoors and go hiking or mountain biking every week. I am currently writing two science fiction series.

If you schedule a time and write at that time, no matter what, words make it to the page. You might throw them out the next day, but the next time is easier until you get on a roll. I have gone 18 hours before with only minor breaks once I get on a roll. The first step is to just sit down and write something. (less)
