Waulud's Bank
Ancient Tribes, Mystical Vibes and Lygetun (Town of Light), this Sunday 10th September with talks, tours and activities all day at Marsh House Community Centre, more in the comments. Waulud's Bank is a Neolithic D shaped enclosure at Leagrave in Bedfordshire located at the source of the river Lea. It consists of a bank and external ditch of around 7 hectares with a turf reveted chalk & gravel bank, derived from the ditch material.

Springfield Lyons Enclosure
Tours of Springfield Lyons Bronze Age Enclosure 9/10th, 16/17th September as part of the forthcoming Heritage Open Days. Tucked out of sight behind a modern retail park in Chelmsford lies the site of a Bronze Age enclosure and settlement. People walk past the entrance every day without realising the significance of the area.

Howes Hill Oval Barrow
Sheringham Park Tumuli Walk, Mon/Tues 11/12th September, more details in the comments. A Neolithic oval barrow with a Bronze Age round barrow constructed on top of it. Both barrows would have been visually important in their ancient landscape contexts but today they are surrounded by woodland.

Stèles de petite croix
Just off a roundabout at the edge of the village of Marcillé la Ville, Mayenne stand a group of four standing stones/menhirs that were discovered during work on local development. They range from 1mtr in height up to well over 2mtrs.

Aber Camddwr Cairn
This unusual platform cairn known as Aber Camddwr lies on the banks of Nant y Moch Reservoir near Ponterwyd in Ceredigion. It was originally discovered in 1984 when the level of the reservoir was low. After excavation it was relocated stone by stone to its present position. It can be found along side the minor road that skirts the reservoir.

Ffos-yr-Haidal 1, Mynydd Eglwysilan
A man who filmed himself damaging this cup marked stone near Pontypridd has been ordered to pay £4,400 compensation and given a four-month sentence, suspended for two years. A cup-marked stone with an irregular arrangement of at least 35 cupmarks of varying size and depth. Dispersed within the cupmark arrangement are a number of faint incised lines, many cutting into or connecting with cupmarks. Size approx 1.5m by 1m, it is the southern of two cup-marked stones located on open upland heath west of the summit of Mynydd Eglwysilan.

House Of The Fairies
Carolyn K was lucky enough to visit St Kilda recently, also sighting this elusive possible stone circle. The House of the Fairies is a souterrain on Hirta, St Kilda. To the north of the main street of abandoned houses. The local guide stated that it probably dates from about 500 BC but could be older.

Giant City Stone Fort Site
The Giant City Stone Fort Site is the site of a prehistoric stone enclosure located within Giant City State Park in Jackson County, Illinois, United States. The Stone Fort dates to the Late Woodland period and was constructed and used in the period from c. AD 600900; it is one of ten such sites known in Southern Illinois.
