Ulfshøj Rundhøj
This large burial mound is located on a meadow in the middle of a residential area in Sjælland, Denmark. From the burial mound there is a wonderful view over the town of Kalundborg and across to the Asnæs peninsula.

Temple Wood S
Kilmartin Glen Time Traveller walks, Weds 20th and 27th July 2022. According to Burl, this is one of the earliest stone circles in Britain, dating to 3500 BC. The site includes two circles (north and south). The southern circle contains a ring of 13 standing stones about 12 meters (40 feet) in diameter. In the past it may have had 22 stones. In the centre is a burial cist surrounded by a circle of stones about 3 meters (10 feet) in diameter.

Takht-e-Bhai
Takht-e-Bhai is a Buddhist monastery complex located 18 kilometres north north west of Mardan in Northern Pakistan. The site is dated to around the first century AD and was extensively restored in the 1920s There are a number of objects from this site in the British Museum.

The Tissø Vikingecenter is a information center who you can find out more about the Vikings at the lake Tissø. In the information center you can see, among other things, a replica of a golden necklace and an original cup-marked stone.

Cardinham Moor row
Pictures from a sunny clear day now added. Is the supposed southern end stone really the southern end?. Approximately 380 metre long stone row on the slopes of Colvannick Tor and Cardinham Moor, to the south of the A30 near the western edge of the high Bodmin Moor plateau.

Lakehead Hill 5
The Prehistory of Bellever guided walk, Weds 27 Jul from 1pm, details in the comments on our page. Cairn Circle on Lakehead Hill, near Postbridge, Dartmoor. One of several ancient sites on Lakehead Hill, see our nearby sites list for more. Just to the north of Cairn 6 is Cairn 5, a nice circle of 10 pale slabs with a diameter about 7m, slightly larger than cairn 6, as are the stones. There is no signs of a cist within the circle, but a few slabs to the southeast may have made up part of a row to the cairn.

Porth-y-Rhaw
Porth-y-Rhaw Community Excavation, running until 6th August 2022, see the comments on our page for more. A coastal promontory fort in a superb location in Pembrokeshire overlooking the Porth-y-Rhaw cove. Excavations undertaken in the late 1990s indicated construction began in early to mid Iron Age. Remains were found of 8 roundhouses. Finds indicated the site was in use from the 1st to 4th Centuries AD. There were also finds indicating iron, bronze and glassworking took place on the site.
