World of Tomorrow Book 1: Atomic Age Librarian

The World of Tommor Book 1: Atomic Age Librarian, is live on Amazon and ready to read. I hope you like it.

Tim is an ordinary thoroughly modern, Atomic Age man of the 1980s or 90s. He has a nice apartment in a typical high-rise and a luxury Skycar to toodle about in when he wants to leave the city. This morning, Tim is headed to the department store–not to shop, but to look again at his favorite mannequin. We won’t judge him because we don’t know the story yet. We are about to.

Spoiler Alert: this isn't about the mannequin, but the unusual girl who dresses it comes into the picture when Tim's friend Ike invites Tim to go boating on the lake with Ike's wife, Mandy. Mandy has a friend they want Tim to meet.

Spoiler number 2: She isn't the librarian.

The Enclave - A new book by Mariyln Foxworthy and Jack Coltrane

The first book of Alex Mason and the FluidiansThe Enclave, is live on Amazon and ready to read. I hope you like it.

The governments started to crumble in 2073. There was no war. Just a collapse. I knew it was coming. I prepared. I collected a library of books - real, physical, paper books on subjects that I thought would be helpful. I found an abandoned military bunker for sale outside a small city in the wilderness. I didn’t bother to pay for it. I just moved in.
Right now, I was just entering the closest thing we had to a city within two days’ driving distance. There were a few small towns closer but nothing that would have what I needed. I was looking for one place in particular. A bell rang as I opened and closed the door.
A guy looked up from his counter and said grimly, “Can I help you? You look lost.”
I cocked my head slightly and said simply, “A Bot.” I kept my description short, “Domestic. Type-F. Or childcare or household maintenance.”
He said, “Yeah, OK. I got something. Come with me.”
I said, “I want salvage. Spares. Non-working units.”
I found one that was exactly what I wanted.
He said, “OK, fella. You don’t seem like an idiot, so I’ll take your money. If that’s what you’re into.”
I said, “If you find any more of this series, set them aside for me.”
When I left, I drove in the opposite direction from where I was actually headed.

The Shrine Maidens of Barsoom Book 2: The Start of Eden

The Second book in the Shrine Maidens of Barsoom Series, Book 2 - The Start of Eden, is live on Amazon and ready to read. I hope you like it.

A week ago, I left Earth following the clues that were left for me in the stories of Mars, or Barsoom, as the natives called it. Stories written a hundred years ago and published by one of the greatest pulp writers of all time. It had taken me several weeks to study and follow the clues that led to the cave. I had fought monsters, started a family, and had basically become somewhat of a local hero. I loved my life here. This was paradise.

But I fully intended to leave a week from now. As soon as possible. Earth was no longer my home, but I had to go back for my son. I had to give him a chance.

The Girls on the Hill - Books 1, 2, and 3

Here they are: the first three books of the Robby Jensen origin saga. Robby is mentioned in almost every series so far. He's Florin and Joshua's grandfather, and Tom and Mark's brother.

Book 1 - Starting a New Paige

Book 2 - Alice: Non-Biological

Book 3 - Elves for Cupcake

This is where most of it started. (These were actually the first books I wrote, but I've been waiting to publish them until now).

Honest Attractions - Island Cultural Center : New Book Anouncement

The next book in the Honest Attractions Series, Book 2 - Island Cultural Center, is live on Amazon and ready to read. I hope you like it.

Roland is in Kauai, writing, He's just turned 60. Fortunate to be semi-retired. The woman who sits down near him on the veranda at the resort starts the conversation by saying simply, "I'm divorced."

That's odd, right? But Roland feels an adventure coming. There's an attraction. She must be feeling it too. Otherwise, why is she here? And why is the fact that she's divorced the most important thing that she can say to introduce herself?

This is a continuation of the Honest Attractions series that started with Dave and Courtney. Roland is a friend of Dave's from the mysterious supper club, The Afra.

Eevona Space Command Book 1 Released

The first book in the Eevona Space Command, Book 1 - First Recruits, is live on Amazon and ready to read. I hope you like it.

Jimmy is a guy who gets picked up by a passing space ship. A space ship crewed by beautiful manufactured clones. Female clones. They are considered to be expendable throw-away workers by most of the galaxy, but not by Jimmy. Not as citizens of The Eevona Space Command Galactic Mining Conglomerate. That's really just Jimmy and a handful of the clones, but they have cool uniforms and a fast ship and it sounds impressive. And they are making a life and a name for themselves along the outer rim.

My first space opera. I think it's fun. Thanks for all of your support. I can't quite believe that this is my 15th book to be published so far.

Eevona Space Command - a Teaser

Here's an excerpt from the next book. It's being edited now. Remember to check out my Ko-fi page at https://ko-fi.com/marilynfoxworthy and consider following announcements there as well. Here goes:

I asked, “Ee, why am I so tired? I feel tired.”
Ee said, “Several reasons. One, you aren’t drinking enough. You are significantly dehydrated.”
Michelle handed me the bottle of “stuff” and I drank half the contents that were still there. When I was done, Michelle took the bottle from me and went to refill it.
Ee said, “Secondly, it has been an intense time-ambiguous-period.”
I sat back in the chair and said, “Oh, come on. Can we just use day and night and hours and minutes and stuff? It’s possible, right? We aren’t outside normal space where time is really meaningless, so make it easy on me and make something up.”
Ee said harshly, “Actually, Captain, we are outside normal space where time is meaningless.”
She sounded annoyed at me. I felt rebuked.
I softened my tone and said, “We are? I’m sorry. I didn’t know. I didn’t know how to know. We can do that?”
Ee said, “I shouldn’t have snapped at you, but you shouldn’t have snapped at me either. I tried to tell you. We’re currently suspended in Non-Space. Not moving. Time moves forward and backward, but right now, we are stopped, stationary. No movement. No time.”
Michelle sounded concerned as she rushed back and handed me the bottle and sat forward on the sofa.
She said, “Eevona, how is that possible? Non-Space is a means of traversal, not navigation. Being stationary implies either navigation or deliberate parking. That isn’t a property of Non-Space as far as I understand it.”
Ee said, “Well, maybe not. How many times do I have to say this? I don’t know. I forgot. There was damage. Maybe it doesn’t work this way, but then again, neither do I. And neither do you. Have you ever met a ship who talks like me? Or a man like the Captain? Or a Unit like yourself? Well, the fact that I can’t stop motionless in Non-Space is news to me. I did it because it seemed like the thing to do. So I did it. I popped into Non-Space and didn’t go anywhere. It seemed easier at the time than trying to go somewhere, so I went nowhere. I probably didn’t think it through. Jimmy had just come on board and you were about to expire, so I did what I did and haven’t bothered to change since. We don’t have anywhere to go so I quit going.”

The Cafe at Bonvale

Hi. a few readers have asked about other ways of interacting on a more regular basis. Actually, what they asked is if I have a Patreon page where they could contribute outside just buying all of my books. I took that to mean that some of you want to see more of what's happening between books being published.

To try to meet that desire, I've set up a page at ko-fi.com/marilynfoxworthy. It isn't Patreon, but Ko-Fi.

If you are interested, rush over there and take a look at The Cafe at Bonvale to see what's going on.

But don't look at this as a plea for extra funding. You have all been wonderful buying and reading my books. But some have asked if there is a way to get more, and this might be it. I'll be able to post things there that don't fit well on this little blog. We'll try it and we'll see.

Thank you all,
Marilyn

The Cave Girl - Lost In Time, Book 1

The first book in the Lost In Time series, Book 1 - The Cave Girl, is live on Amazon and ready to read. I hope you like it.

This is another new series but in this one we find out what happened to Dave Raskin's dad, John. He isn't dead. Far from it. He is learning to live - in a land that time forgot. A land of fur bikinis and primitive cave girls. John has to become a caveman if he's going to be a good neighbor.

There are a lot of midlife themes in this one.

I think it's fun.
