Weekly Wrap-up ~ 11/15/24
A very awesome writing week. Made good progress on my book. 
Also still working on prep for next book.
And as usual still working on my continuous organizing and planning.

Between the Covers ~ Sizzling Dare
Today’s Between the Covers is an excerpt from Sizzling Dare, Impulse, Book # 1. Enjoy.
Jameson rose and came around the table. The predatory grace of his movements made her pulse quicken. She licked her lips. God that man can move.
“Dance.” It wasn’t a question but a demand.
Tiana opened her mouth to refuse but something in his gaze made her rethink it. She slid her hand along his, stifling a shiver as she rose. His firm hold on her made her wonder how it’d feel if… she cut off that thought. Don’t go there Tiana.
Jameson led her to the dance floor. She faced him just as the music changed. The sensual rhythm of Soca filled the air. Jameson partially lowered his lids and a small smile curled his lips. Instinctively Tiana moved her hips then the rest of her body lifting her hands and going with the music. Jameson stared, his gaze moving along her body. It was almost like a physical touch. Tiana thought for a moment about it being a bad idea but ignored it as she continued to move with him. He lifted his head meeting her gaze then moved. Tiana swallowed as she watched him. He moved with the same intensity he had when he played. She couldn’t help but stared at his hips as he rolled them in a motion that should be deemed illegal. A soft chuckle reached her and she lifted her head narrowing her gaze at the expression on his face. It was too knowing and way too smug. He moved to her, sliding his leg between her thighs and jerking her against him. Tiana sank against him moving with him as the music played around them.
Suddenly Jameson turned her, placing her back against his front. She stifled a moan as he moved behind her. His thick erection pressed against her ass. She shifted her legs as her panties dampened. Tiana again licked her lips wanting to feel him bare. She jerked at the thought and stepped away.
“When are you going to stop running from us?” Jameson asked close to her ear.
She shuddered not realizing he had moved with her. Tiana took another step.
“I never took you for a coward,” he spoke again close to her.
Inhaling sharply, Tiana gritted her teeth. She was no coward. Tiana lifted her hands then turned to him and rolled her hips. She saw him gulp and smiled. Moving to him she rocked her body against him before stepping away. She twirled away then back into him, Tiana’s breath caught at the impact of his hard body. Jameson walked her backwards until her back hit the wall. His hold shifted and his hot hands raced down to cup her ass in his palms. Jameson jerked her into his body and rotated his hips in a sensuous glide keeping in beat with the music. Wetness soaked her panties even more. He chuckled. Looking up she saw the knowledge in his eyes of what he was doing to her. In that moment she didn’t care if he knew. She wanted to be under him in the worst possible way. It didn’t matter they were in the middle of bar where anyone could see them. She wanted him with a passion that made her feel reckless.
Leaning deeper into him she felt his erection press against her. Stifling a groan she rested her head on his shoulder inhaling deeply. Hoarding his sweet tangy masculine scent of sandalwood and aroused male.
Rolling his hips in a lazy motion that tantalized her throbbing core through her skirt Jameson whispered in her ear. “Do you want me Tiana?”
The scream of ‘yes’ bubbled in her throat but common sense stifled it. They didn’t like each other and were only here working together to help Terrance. If they got involved and it didn’t work out it would create all kinds of problems. Jameson pressed closer moving his hips in a sinuous motion scattering her thoughts. A moan tore from her throat.
“Do you want me Tiana?” he repeated in the same soft tone.
Gulping to clear her head Tiana looked up at him. Unable to hold it back she blew out a breath and said raggedly. “Yes I want you Jameson…” Pausing to catch her breath she watched the predatory grin spread on his face. “But I can’t have you.”
Shock filtered over his face. Pulling away from him Tiana watched him steadily regret tearing at her. “A relationship between us would be too messy.”
The look of speculation on his face made her wary. She resisted the urge to step back as he leaned into her. “I don’t want a relationship with you Tiana. I want hard…” He kissed the side of her exposed neck. “Deep…” He bit her ear gently. She moaned turning her head to give him more access. “Wet…” He licked her ear as his voice rumbled, “Mind numbing sex as often as possible and every way imaginable.”
Suddenly he kissed her deeply. He stroked his tongue into her mouth. He moved his hands up and down her sides then cupped her aching breasts. She leaned into him rubbing against him. He stepped back. Dazed she looked at him.
He smiled. “When you’re ready for that, come find me.”

Garrick entered the house closing the door behind him. “Bailey.” He called and waited for an answer.
When none came he frowned. As far as he knew she was supposed to be home already. Hearing a sound he headed for the kitchen. When he arrived in the doorway he stopped. Bailey had her back to him as she wiggled her body then made an sultry sound. Knowing that sound he instantly went hard.
“Bailey.” He said again.
She didn’t reply. He frowned. Garrick approached her.
“Oh my God, it’s raspberry.” Bailey whimpered.
As he got closer he spotted what she had. A pastry made by her friend. He touched her shoulder. Bailey shrieked then turned and punched out and flipped him over her hip.
Ah…shit not again. Garrick hit the ground and his teeth clacked together.
Bailey lowered herself and drove her fist down. She stopped just before his face then blinked as she looked at him.
Garrick lifted an eyebrow.
Bailey pulled out the ear bud and smiled at him sheepishly. “Hey…I didn’t hear you come in.”
“We can tell no one about this.” Garrick rolled his eyes. “I’m just finally making people forget about the last time you put me on my ass.” He glanced toward where the pastries were on the counter. “If I recall pastry was involved then too.”
“It was.” Bailey laughed. “You really need to stop sneaking up on me.”
“I came in called out to you.” Garrick said. “That’s not sneaking.”
“I didn’t hear you because of the ear buds.” Bailey knelt and placed her hand on his chest. “Are you ok?”
“I’m going to need some Epsom Salt to soak.” He glared at her playfully. “A wild woman attacked me to defend her pastry.”
You should know better than getting between a woman and her pastries.’ Bailey laughed again. She leaned over and kissed him gently.
He opened and returned it.
“What the hell are you doing on the floor?” A familiar masculine voice asked.
Garrick groaned as he heard it. He forgotten he’d invited Tyr over. Bailey pulled back and laughed.
Garrick sat up. “I slipped on a banana peel.”
“I don’t see any.” Tyr shook his head. “Bailey you really need to stop throwing the man on the floor. Or at least make sure someone is around so we can get pictures as proof.”
“Next time I promise.” Bailey rose and went to Tyr hugging him.
“Hey…wait how the hell did you get into my house?” Garrick rose and stifled a groan.
“Indigo let me in.” Tyr replied.
“I didn’t know she was here.”
“She’s in the media room.” Bailey said. “I was making some tea and getting the pastries she brought.” Bailey smiled sheepishly. “I got distracted.”
“By eating them.” Garrick went to her and teased. He pulled her from Tyr.
“And putting you on your ass.”Tyr retorted then laughed. “Wait until the crew hears this one.” He left the kitchen laughing.
“I—“
Bailey kissed him. Garrick returned it and tasting the raspberry and chocolate he was reminded of how they meet. At least this time he got to taste the yummy pastry. It didn’t taste as good as kissing Bailey did. He held her close.

Grooving ~ Perception
There are many definitions to grooving. The one I’m exploring is all about things I enjoy. So I’ll be sharing with you some things that get me grooving. This can be anything from books, movies, tv shows, things I am cooking, places I have been, just fun or anything my mind comes up with. This is all about things I find enjoyable and fun. I enjoy chilling with a drink and snacks beside me as I get comfy for some great tv/movie watching.
I’m watching what I think of as a Binge-Worthy TV Show. As you know I’m a big fan of binge-watching stuff. I might have mentioned it a few times here too. *wink*

Perception (TV series)
This a new to me show. I’m enjoying the show. Love the dynamic of the characters. The characters are awesome. So good! I’m having a great time watching this awesome show. Love interactions between the characters. Each episode is great. Love it.
