The Book Eaters: FAQ
Below are ten common questions I get asked often at events or in online conversation! I hope I phrased everything okay and explained things as much as possible. Please let me know if you see anything glaring that needs addressing or editing! Will there be a sequel? Someday, but not for a few years. I’ve...

Schedule of News and Events for THE BOOK EATERS
This was part of a post I made for THE BOOK EATERS discussion group on Goodreads.
https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...
Publishing works in mysterious ways, especially to those not in the loop (and often, even for those who ARE in the loop... but that's a whole other discussion, aha). So from the outset, I guess it's been pretty quiet all around :-)
I thought I'd post and update for them who are curious how the production side is going.
I'm just about to hand in my copy edits (what non-writers would call proofreading) for the American side. UK copy edits are coming through at some point in the next month or so. By Halloween, I should have seen Pass Pages, which are preview of how your book will look with all edits, formatting, interior design, and proper kerning done up.
Some of my preorder links are live, but not all. I think around half are still inactive. They were submitted at the same time by the publisher, but take differing amounts of time to show up in different shops.
However, by October or November, all the preorder links should be up and running, and that's when we'll get to show people the cover. And yes, the cover is completely done, at least for the American version - I've seen it and signed off on it, and I'm really happy with it; I hope you will be, too!
At some point in the new year, eg January or February 2022, the "proper" physical arcs and e-arcs will be going out for early reviews and early reads. Hopefuly I'll be able to share some news about the international translations that will be coming out, and also the audio book version. The closer we get to a release date, the more likely it is that I'll put info here about giveaways and other promo related things.
As a final note, this is currently a group for just The Book Eaters, as that's all I've got coming out :-) but another novel is in the works, and in time I'll probably expand the scope to be about all the books I'm hoping to release, It's a three book contract so there will be at least two more, though none will be sequels to TBE; they're all standalones.
Hope that random information was useful to folks, and thanks for hanging about!

Short Fiction
All of the short stories listed below are fiction pieces that I have previously published in other venues. Now that first rights have expired, I’ve reprinted them here for anyone to read for free, if they wish, with full credit given to the original publications.
