Promoting your Book

Interesting take on how to promote one's book.  This is an area I'm not good at.  I don't tweet (I know--gasp), I don't pininterest (another gasp) and I barely Facebook and I do have a Goodreads page, but don't know what to do with it.    Why, you ask?  Well, because I'm writing.  A book every 3-4 months.  And being a mom and wife and serve at my kids schools and have a life outside of writing.  I just don't know how people do it all!    But I've decided this fall I will take one piece of advice and try it before my next book is released in October.

RWA and Disneyland

I'm back from Romance Writers of America's national writers conference.  What an exciting and fun week it was!  For four days I was emerged in information via workshops, luncheon speakers and networking with friends, agents and editors.  Every year I am so ready for this conference to jazz me and motivate me to get busy writing.  The buzz last almost all year.
This year's conference had the add bonus of being in Anaheim, the home of Disneyland.  I arrived on Tuesday and headed straight to the park with my good friends, Leah Vale, Jenna Bayley-Burke, Lissa Manley and Melissa McClone.  So much fun!
Above is from the Tower of Terror.  I'm in the center of the middle row.

This is me sitting in The Mad Hatter's lounge area.

Now that I'm home I have to get back to work.  A book is due, my daughter needs to pack for college and my 30th high school reunion is coming up.  Whew!  Lots to do.

Spring Intensive Weekend

The past weekend I was at a writer's conference. It was refreshing, rejuvenating and enlightening. There were editors and agents and several workshops to spark creativity and gain knowledge about this crazy buisness. I enjoyed catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. The main workshop speaker was Larry Brooks, author of Story Engineering. http://storyfix.com/For a recap of the weekend visit http://rosecityromancewriters.blogspot.com/
