Little Simba

Any dog lovers out there?
My(really he's my daughter's, but she not here right now) little dog, Simba, is in a bad way.  He has something going on in his neck. The vet things maybe a pinched nerve.  He won't put any weight on his front left paw, though there is nothing wrong with the paw or leg.  The vet did an X-ray and didn't see anything.  Its been two weeks tomorrow.  He's on pain meds and steroids.  Its helped a little.  Though if he's not sleeping, he's gimping around.  Now his back is sort of tweaking as he tries to compensate for his front leg issue.  Per the vets instructions he's been mostly living in his crate but during the day when I'm here I let him out.  He'll move to his bed and lay down to whine.  Its so sad and I feel so helpless.   Please pray for our little guy. Thanks.

Daylight-Maroon 5

Any Maroon 5 fans out there?
This is by far their best song.  It really shows off Adam Levine's voice well.
Of course I'm a bit biased as our family friend SAMM wrote this song.

A Friend's New Release

If anyone is looking for a fun read, check this new release out!    One of my good friends had a part in bringing this book to life.

http://www.amazon.com/Find-Portland-Find-Me---Man-Club-ebook/dp/B00B9671C4/ref=sr_1_7?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1359734353&sr=1-7&keywords=Find+Me+a+Man+Club

Single mom Laura Russell reluctantly agrees to join an online dating service at the request of her terminally ill son, Josh. His “Make-A-Wish” is for her to fall in love and marry; he doesn’t want her to be alone when he dies. Four of Laura’s closest friends join her, and together they form the inaugural Find-Me-a-Man Club. Dating misadventures abound and hilarity ensues as the friends embark on their online journeys to help Josh find the perfect man for his mom.ENDORSEMENT:Mirroring the sentiments of a Shakespeare sonnet, let me count the ways I loveFind-Me-a-Man Club— where do I begin? A book dealing with the culture of online dating could easily be one-dimensional. Defying those odds, the characters in this work are delightfully honest and authentic. Their stories will resonate with any woman who has dipped a reluctant toe into the Web dating waters of the twenty-first century. The Find-Me-a-Man Club is formed because of the wishes of a dying son, Josh. He delightfully and poignantly blogs about his mom, Laura, as she honors his request that she move on with life and find love. Laura’s story launches the book with grace, vulnerability, and aching beauty. Laura births a club that takes the reader on a roller-coaster ride through the agony and ecstasy of the dating scene. With laughter and tears, their club embraces the universal estrogen-laden club of women longing for a second chance at love.”—Bonnie Keen, 58Nashville native, five-time Grammy-nominated vocalist/author/songwriter, and actresswww.bonniekeen.com

The Cowboy Target

Book four of: Protection Specialists: Guarding the innocent

My March release received a 4 star review from Romantic Times Magazine. See the review below.

Wyatt Monroe is stunned to find his ranch hand, George Herman, dead on his porch. He knows he is being framed for murder, but worries that people will believe he is guilty, as they falsely accused him of murdering his wife. Jackie Blain, a bodyguard and former cop, is called in by her uncle to prove Wyatt’s innocence. Some neighbors are upset at Wyatt for refusing to sign away his mineral rights. Is someone willing to kill those Wyatt loves in order to force his hand? Reed’s fast-paced action will keep readers wondering who and why in this quick, enjoyable read.

FRAMED!
For years after the suspicious death of his wife, single dad Wyatt Monroe isolates himself on his Wyoming ranch...until he’s accused of murder. With a body at his doorstep, he’s arrested and Wyatt has only one hope—a blue-eyed, blonde bodyguard. But it’ll take more than skill for work-obsessed Jackie Blain to save her reluctant client, who just wants to be left alone. She’ll have to gain his trust by keeping him and his daughter safe. With their lives in her hands, Jackie is faced with her toughest assignment ever—saving the cowboy and guarding her heart.
