Release Day!

I have two books out today. Both are very different, yet I love them both.

Rookie K-9 Unit

Check out this fun video the authors of the Rookie K-9 Unit put together.  You'll need to adjust the volume up and down as some of the audio is soft and others loud. This is our first collaboration on a video. I hope to do another one for the next continuity.  Classified K-9 Unit which begins in April 2017 with Agent-in-Training and Guardian. Both books are up for pre-order now!

August 26th--National Dog Day

I love dogs! I've written many books with dogs and I have two dogs of my own. 
Here's our newest addition to our family.  She's an Australian Shepherd Red Merle.   Here's our old guy, a Llaso-Bichon mix.  They are becoming good friends.

My upcoming Christmas release features a Bernese Mountain dog.

I just turned in two more Love Inspired Suspense books for release in 2017.
*Agent-in-Training, prequel for the Classified K-9 Unit continuity series, April 2017, has a Border Collie named Radar

*Guardian, book 1 of the Classified K-9 Unit continuity series, April 2017, will have a Water Detection Search and Rescue Chocolate Lab name True and a rescued Golden Retriever puppy.

New Puppy, New Phase of Life

Sometimes I think I'm my own worst enemy yet I'm so happy I can barely contain my joy though I'm sleep deprived. This past Saturday we brought home a 7 week old puppy.  We've done this twice before, once fourteen years ago and then again ten years ago. One would think I'd have remembered the work, the energy necessary and the lack of sleep that comes with a puppy. I think it's a bit like childbirth, you forget the pain as soon as you hold the baby in your arms.
I'd like to introduce you to our girl, a red merle Australian Shepherd. She's so smart, sweet and playful. We've seen glimpses of a stubborn streak. I have a trainer coming to the house this week to beginning puppy lessons. My goal is for her to get her Good Citizen K-9 certificate and then maybe work toward Tracking competitions or SAR training. We'll have to wait to see until she's older.
