RomCon aftermath, UFOs, and Nicole's flaming red pompadour

The big news is the nuttiness that spilled over from RomCon 2010, the first ever Rocky Mountain Romance Convention.  The League of Reluctant Adults was well represented, to include our very own Jeanne.  
The action swept into LoDo when Nicole Peeler and her writer pals had dinner at 1515 Market.  And who else but Nicole would try a root beer float made with liquid nitrogen and included a syringe? 
Nicole, you are stylin' with that pompadour.

Boy, while most of the country is sweltering, we here in Colorado have had rain and temps in the 70's... Not that I'm complaining. I'm not a fan of sweat but it IS weird, I must say...

Of the four covers, this is my favorite as Felix Gomez looks positively badass.

Those literary writers at Lighthouse Writers don't host parties, they throw soirees!  Soirees so awesome they are measured on a Richter scale.
Lighthouse ended this year's LitFest with a fantabulous shindig, How to Feed a Writer (much appreciated by us starving artist types). This event was like being in a feature by Sunset Magazine. One highlight of the evening was the invention of a new vodka cocktail, the delicious (and potent) Pepper Dog.
