Getting Ready For Class Heroes Book 2

I've had the initial concept ideas through for the cover of Class Heroes 2, from my excellent designer Andrew Clarke – finally book 2 feels close enough to touch.

I have to say, I'm incredibly excited. I love the initial designs that Andrew has come up with, and just seeing the samples heartens me that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I can't wait for the release now.

The TARDIS at Earls Court in London

I don't know what it is these days, but I keep seeing the TARDIS everywhere. One in Wetherby, one in Earls Court, one in Ipswich.

The TARDIS has been all around Ipswich just recently, as the Punchdrunk live show The Crash of the Elysium comes to the town in June and July 2012. And rather splendidly I'm going to see it.

I'll no doubt post a review of the production, but for now, I'll content myself with posting this picture of me and the TARDIS in London.

Doctor Who and the Real Life Mirror

For me, when I was growing up, the Doctor Who book range were the ultimate books for teenagers.

It's strange, and I know I've commented on this before, but when I was in my teens, there weren't that many books specifically aimed at young adults. Not like today, where you can throw a Harry Potter novel in a bookshop and be sure you'll hit another YA book.

Are the Class Heroes books Young Adult books?

The Class Heroes books fall into the category of young adult literature (or YA Lit if you like your jargon), but they probably hit the side of that bucket and bounce off the rim of the traditional paranormal romance, vampires, and fantasy genre.

How Many eBooks Am I Selling? Part 2 - Google AdWords

In November/December 2011, I experimented with using Google AdWords to sell my young adult novel A Class Apart.

In my (other) career as a technical writer, I’d been working with search engine optimization (SEO) techniques for customer websites. One of the things I looked into was Google AdWords.

How many eBooks am I selling? Part 1 - Getting Started

Go on admit it. That’s what you really want to know isn’t it?

If, like me, you are a self-published author, selling on Kindle, Kobo, or a variety of other eBook formats, you’re probably interested in how other authors are getting on. This is a series of articles about my experiences in the selling game on Kindle. It starts in October 2011, when I released my first Class Heroes superhero novel A Class Apart. Hope you find it useful.

Praise for Class Heroes

It hadn't occurred to me before, to include some of the really nice reviews I've received for A Class Apart, my superhero novel.

Thanks to Mick Joest from the Geek Tyrant website, for this review of the first Class Heroes book.

Thanks also to Joana James from Readers' Favourite website for an equally positive review.
