Back from CO Springs Comic Con!

I had an awesome time at the Colorado Springs Comic Con this past weekend!  There were thousands of con-goers there, with something like 40% of them cosplaying in one way or another, and I think I talked to hundreds of different people.  I educated quite a few of them on what Dungeon Core and LitRPG is all about, which was a fun teaching experience!

Sometimes the only way to go forward is to go back….

Progen defeated the Parasyte that was engineered by the malevolent Blood Curse, but there is still a lot that the dungeon crystal needs to do to fully control his entire dungeon.  While he actively works to finish controlling the rest of the body that hosts his presence, there lies one major obstacle to the culmination of his plans: the brain.  The Blood Curse has locked itself away behind a barrier that keeps Progen from spreading his influence inside, while also preventing the Curse from manipulating anything outside of its hiding place.  The dungeon crystal is thus stymied in his efforts toward complete control; but fortunately, Progen has gained access to new immune cells and systems that he can use to improve his host’s body – and thereby, his own survivability.

Meanwhile, when the dastardly Ghevin Drestice’s devastating use of the mind-control abilities of a strange crystal finally catalyzes interest in Marstin from the highest authority in Istut, the young thief-turned-adventurer is thrust back into the spotlight.  Now he has to navigate his way through a brand-new world of political intrigue, secret organizations, and high society, all while struggling with the burgeoning power that has recently been unlocked inside of him.

While Progen fights against the immutable barrier around the brain and the Blood Curse, Marstin fights to survive this world into which he has inextricably been thrown.  Both will face challenges that shouldend with their deaths, and only through unwitting cooperation will they see themselves through.

But will that be enough to survive against the Blood Curse’s temptations of power and its inevitable emergence from its magically-imposed exile?

Contains LitRPG/GameLit elements, such as character progression, statistics, and resource management.  Also contains an in-depth, science-based portrayal of how the immune system responds to foreign pathogens via different white blood cells and other microscopic protectors, complete with a glossary of medical terms (factual and fictional).  No harems, sexual content, or foul language.

The Crafter's Defense game on Steam!

What is this? A video game based on the Dungeon Core genre? Yes!

I've been working with a game development company to create a new game (based on my Dungeon Crafting series) that will be featured in the Steam store, called The Crafter's Defense! It's a Dungeon Defense-type game that uses some of the mechanics of a Tower Defense game and adds action elements, as the defenders and pathway aren't static and can be manipulated.

It's still finishing up with development and I've only played the first few levels, but so far it's amazing seeing some of my ideas come to life in the form of a video game. I believe the first builds for the game will available for everyone to try out in September, so add it to your Wishlist on Steam so that you'll be informed when it's available!https://store.steampowered.com/app/1715780/The_Crafters_Defense/

The Song Matron is now available on audiobook!

The Song Matron, the 3rd and final book in my Uniworld Online Trilogy, is now available on audiobook!  Anneliese Rennie did another wonderful job narrating this last installment of the Trilogy, and I'm very excited for everyone to finish the series on audio!

UK: https://www.audible.co.uk/pd/B098R728M7
There was a slight delay in the announcement of this release due to some glitches in a few sections that slipped through editing, but they have since been fixed!_____________________________________

Second Edition: Revised for content and additional editing

Can one person change all of Uniworld by herself?

Cadence, the extraordinarily powerful Song Mistress, is back for the final installment of the Uniworld Online Trilogy!  Joined by her friends in-game, she embarks on a journey to, somehow, bring peace to Uniworld – all while avoiding attempts from her own faction to kill her.

Now knowing who brutally attacked her back in reality – if not yet his real-life identity – Cadence must get stronger, learn more about her abilities, and devise a strategy which would make him confess to his involvement in her attack.  To do that, however, she needs to survive long enough; the doing of which will be difficult, especially with the entirety of the Light faction out to get her.

With the only avenue for escape among their “enemies”, Cadence and her friends travel to the Dark faction, where she learns much-needed information regarding one of her oldest and most important quests.  From that information stems an expedition into the unknown, which will bring her closer to her goal…and her destiny.

Find out how it all ends in the thrilling conclusion to the Uniworld Online Trilogy!

Contains LitRPG elements such as character progression, quests, skills, stats, and stat sheets.  No harems or foul language.

The Crafter's Dynasty and series sales!

The Crafter's Dynasty, the 6th and final book in the Dungeon Crafting series, is now available on eBook, paperback, and hardcover!  Enjoy the conclusion that is over 154,000 words, including a bonus short story at the end hinting at Sandra's future.

US: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B097TZYFG3

UK: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B097TZYFG3

It's a little bittersweet whenever I end a series, but I really think my readers will enjoy how I wrapped up the story of the craft-loving Dungeon Core.  However, Sandra's current story arc will not be her last, as I'm not quite done with her yet!

As far as audiobook availability, Louise Cooksey is already producing it; I'm hoping that it will be available sometime in September.

In addition, to celebrate the release of the last book in the series, Book 1 (The Crafter's Dungeon) is FREE from 7/21-7/23 in all marketplaces, and Books 2-5 are on sale for 0.99 in the US and UK stores!

Sandra is opposed by a threat thought long-buried in this exciting conclusion to the Dungeon Crafting series….

After recovering from the effects of a Core shard taking over her mind, Sandra had developed a way to bond with nearby Dungeon Cores, “pacifying” them in the process.  Consistent culling of the Monsters within their dungeons would still be required, but no longer would the surrounding areas be dangerous with wandering Monsters sent out by those Cores.

Accomplishing all of that will inevitably lead to a greater responsibility that Sandra wouldn’t be able to handle on her own.  Fortunately, the surrounding races are more than willing to step up and contribute, thereby slowly taking their lands back from the hostile Dungeon Cores trying to kill them all.  With their help, Sandra’s dreams of being able to ignore the world and get back to her peaceful crafting are getting closer to reality.

Unbeknownst to the crafty Dungeon Core, however, an old foe learns of Sandra’s existence and is bent on destroying her – one way or another.  Only through perseverance, the help of her friends, and quite a bit of crafting will she be able to defeat this adversary; doing so will not only ensure the safety of her Core and the surrounding lands, but it will also establish Sandra’s presence in the wasteland as something meant to stand the test of time.

In short, it is time for the craft-loving Core to establish her dynasty.

This Dungeon Core story contains LitRPG/GameLit elements such as statistics and leveling and a heavy crafting emphasis.  No profanity, sexual content, or harems.

Dungeon of Chance: Double or Nothing now on audiobook!

The 2nd book in my Serious Probabilities series, Dungeon of Chance: Double or Nothing, is now available on audiobook!  Once again narrated by the awesome Miles Meili, this book is over 12 hours of Dungeon Core, LitRPG, and probability goodness all rolled up in one story!

US: https://www.audible.com/pd/B098PLS2FL

UK: https://www.audible.co.uk/pd/B098PL45WW

Will a drastic change in Clay’s dungeon be enough to prepare the local Heroes for the next World Threat?

Becoming a Dungeon Core was the last thing that Clayburnside Shuntwise had ever thought he would become, but unfortunately, he didn’t really have a choice.  However, after Clay fully embraced his new existence, he thoroughly applied himself to train the local Hero population to defend against the gigantic monsters that threatened the entire world.

After the devastating losses that the Heroes (and Clay) suffered after the destruction of the last Threat, the Dungeon Core knew that he needed to step up his efforts.  The Heroes were already working hard in their 5-person groups, of course, slowly improving as they delved through his dungeon, but that wasn’t going to be quite enough if they were going to be ready for the appearance of next Threat.  Therefore, Clay needed to do something that hadn’t ever been done before by a Core: Open up his dungeon for larger groups of Heroes, so that they could learn to work as a more cohesive team.

But even if he overcomes the challenges of completely overhauling the format of his dungeon, the rest of the world is quickly learning about the changes happening on the relatively isolated Sunfall Island where Clay’s dungeon now resides.  Not only will Clay have to deal with a double dose of external threats to his existence, but if he doesn’t figure out how to survive and thrive, he’ll have nothingto show for all the work that he has put into making the world a safer place.

This book contains Dungeon Core, LitRPG, and GameLit elements including dungeon construction and defense, monster summoning, character progression, and a game-like interface.  In addition, many of the probabilities the world is based upon are similar to Gacha-type mechanics.  Contains no profanity, harems, or explicit sexual content.
