While it is true, we don’t have any control who are family members are; however, we DO have control over who we want as our friends in life. It’s easy to get distracted by all the things going on around us each day, so much that we may begin to unintentionally tune out of our soul’s wants and needs with regards to our support system. It Sneaks Up on You, But Work Through It Anyway

Life is so funny because you’re going about your day, you’re doing your thing, everything is fine…and then you write down the date and burst into tears.
I lost my dad to brain cancer on this day 7 years ago. Grief is an interesting process mixed between your conscious and subconscious triggering of events that flood your memories. How much time is enough time in order to stop these triggers? According to Dr. Lisa M. Shulman, professor of neurology at the University of Maryland and author of “Before and After Loss: A Neurologist’s Perspective on Loss, Grief, and Our Brain”:
Recovery depends upon gradually reconnecting with suppressed memories- the emotions and memories that we’re not ready to face. Disturbing dreams by night and intrusive thoughts by day are evidence of traumatic memories that are buried in the subconscious, and were never properly integrated with past memories and emotions.
Reconnecting the Memories
I find this interesting because with the Law of Attraction I teach souls to reconnect memories to what they are desiring. For example, take your favorite scent and remember a fond memory from it while at the same time holding cash-money in order to imprint an alternate memory. The process of grief can also be performed through the same methods as the process of manifesting. Dr. Shulman advises a few coping mechanisms to transform grief:
To move forward, we need to find tools that will help us reconnect with suppressed memories. Equally important is the need to find activities that are diverting to refresh the mind. Tools for re-connection may include journaling, faith-based practices, meditation, and seeing a counselor. Keeping a dream journal may gradually uncover repetitive themes. Mysterious at first- over time the symbols in our dreams begin to reveal themselves. For refreshment, try creative practices (art, music, dance) and the healing powers of the outdoors.
The Connection Transformation
Obviously, I’m a huge fan of what I call Mastering Manifesting journaling. In addition, I meditate for a few minutes each night before falling asleep. Our brain is a 24/7 filtering system and we need to allow ourselves to “reboot” it often in order to empty the “cache files”. If we don’t give ourselves permission to do so through activities such as meditation, mindset journaling, painting, coloring, etc., everything in your subconscious mind will build up like the fizz in a soda bottle after it has been shaken a few times and the cap flies off from the tension of the carbonated pressure.

It’s Normal Feeling Like a Pendulum

Soulful Secret Tip
Hey Beautiful Soul,
The quote in the above is from my best-selling book. Our feelings and emotions fluctuate several times per day, sometimes more intense than other days. I want to share with you a type of meditation I like to use to help me remain centered and balance as much as humanly possible. I perform this type of meditation each night before falling asleep:
Mindful Breathing Meditation

Each night I climb into bed and lay on my back. I put my arms straight along my body and the palm of my hands are faced down.

I slowly breathe in for about 7 or 8 seconds and slowly breathe out in the same amount of time.

After a minute or two (whichever feels comfortable for you), I’ll begin visualizing good things, all good things, that have happened this week and in my life. I let my mind wander free with positive energy. I stay focused on the positive, even if it’s just me imagining myself running through a field of flowers or laying in bed in a cabin in the mountains. I do this for about 2-3 minutes.

I finish by focusing on my breathing again, slowly breathing in and out for another minute or 2, and sometimes even longer. And I do it until I am fast asleep.

I hope this soulful meditation secret helps you to have a good night’s rest. It’s important to get enough sleep so you are full of manifesting energy with setting your manifesting intentions each day.
And if you have an “off” day? No big deal! Each day is a brand new day. Give yourself permission to be gentle and kind to yourself because you are so worthy of giving yourself a break in life. You’ve got this!

Do You Do This with Self-Doubt?

A couple of weeks ago I was talking to a publishing company about the 2 books I’m currently writing. I was nervous, excited, and curious all at the same time. I felt pretty good about my correspondence with this company and I was thinking I would hear back from them soon. It has been 10 days and now my self-doubt is starting to creep up on me.
If you have been following me for a while you know I don’t have much patience. When I see something I desire, I go after it and I don’t give up until I have it. But, if you’re new to my spiritual realm, I don’t like to wait and the reason for this is because I truly feel there is nothing to wait for in life. Right? I mean, the Law of Attraction stresses how you don’t need to wait for anything, just match your vibrations.
Nevertheless, my self-doubt comes up sometimes, it’s completely normal to feel this way.
Regardless, I get a choice in how I want to look at this:
1) I could continue to focus on how it’s been 10 days and I haven’t heard back from this publisher…is there something wrong with me? There must be something wrong…what am I doing wrong? Why is everything so hard for me?
(These are the kinds of things I would eventually start telling myself as time goes by and I entertain my self-doubt)
or
2) I could choose to focus by telling myself something more uplifting…if it doesn’t work out with this publisher, it’s okay. It doesn’t mean I’m not good enough, it just means this is the practice round for the real thing. Everything happens for a reason and I know I’ll have a publisher in the near future. I’m remaining to be open to whatever outcome happens because I know my 2 books are being published and they will help thousands of people around the world.
Self-Doubt Happens, How Do You Choose to Respond?
You always get to choose how you want to respond to any and every situation in life, no matter how bad it is or how amazing it is. And it’s so easy to want to focus on what’s “wrong” with you when in reality there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with you at all. I’ve been selected for a full-featured story by a big publication and I’ve been working my tail off trying to get it to be perfect.
But I’m laughing because nothing in life is perfect. The Universe is perfectly not perfect. That’s what is so beautiful about the Universe (the asymmetry of everything around us and, well, us).
A little mental food for thought the next time you feel like beating yourself up over something. I believe in you!
