In my latest interview with Authority Magazine, I’m answering their questions about how and why our mental health and wellness is the most important aspect of living a happy and successful life. Here is a snippet below of what we discuss and I hope it helps you along your journey to fulfillment with anything and everything you do in your life.

Can you tell us a bit about how you grew up?

I grew up taught to look at multiple angles of a situation and be open to several possibilities of an outcome. My family heavily consists of logical careers such as engineering and finance. But I had a sweet mix of sensitivity taught to me as well. My parents were great at viewing life and everything in the Universe with a “middle-of-the-road” approach so we don’t create mental blind spots. Nonetheless, logic dictates when making significant life decisions.

You are currently leading an initiative that is helping to promote mental wellness. Can you tell us a bit more specifically about what you are trying to address?

Thankfully, mental health is slowly losing its negative reputation. My approach is that we’re human beings, and the Universe consists of one constant: change. The identical elemental particles that make up the Universe include our genetic makeup. These particles never tire from bouncing around and colliding with one another. Our thoughts and feelings (energy) are not organically “trained” or “molded” into a specific shape or form. Fear drives controlling behavior, which is a dangerous approach if you want to be at peace with yourself. It’s normal to mentally and emotionally swing like a pendulum. It’s not wrong despite what some people led by fear want to assume. I’ve lived with anxiety, depression, and panic attacks my entire life, and I’m a master at using the Law of Attraction. There isn’t one specific way to be happy and achieve your hopes and dreams.

When someone is living with anxiety, panic, OCD, and or depression, calling the police to help them is not the best route for highly sensitive people (empaths) for healthcare. The police and hospitals look at you as a stigma and a stereotype. Even if the person is calm, not in a panic attack any longer, abiding, and willing to go to the hospital, psychologists do not accompany law enforcement for wellness and healthcare checks.

Putting the person in handcuffs as a “protocol” only worsens the anxiety. And when the person has elevated vitals, putting them in a tiny, windowless room with colorless walls, no artwork, a ceiling camera, no access to a phone call or personal belongings, and a small cot in a hospital gown without medication or food for six hours also don’t help the person with elevated vitals and anxiety. This is NOT helpful healthcare methods.

Panic attacks are scary enough because our brain “shuts down,” the above treatment makes it so much worse for the person. It’s a traumatic experience.


Empaths (highly sensitive people) are sensitive to their surroundings. They respond best to Mother Nature, animals, water, and art for calming healthcare methods.

The next time you want to help someone (even if they merely had their phone on silent because they were going to bed and trying to get out of the panic), please do NOT call the police. They do not understand how empaths and sensitive people respond to their surroundings. 15 years ago, when I was 25 years old, I attempted suicide after getting out of a toxic relationship with a narcissist. Though, I had no idea what narcissism was at the time. I went through cognitive behavioral therapy to heal and alter my thinking patterns from being abused as a minor by my science teacher. While we cannot control everything in the world and around us due to free will, we can choose how we respond to free will. And it took me 9 years before I was ready to try another relationship again.

5 years ago, I met a man I thought I would spend many years with, but life has a way of testing how you let people treat you. A few months ago, he broke up with me 6 months after moving across the country to be in the same city with him after 4 years of being in a long-distance relationship. The past trauma I endured suddenly came up to the surface with my thoughts and feelings again. I also deal with having OCD and anxiety/panic.

I felt myself catapulting back to 15 years ago, and I felt I had no control over myself. My mind literally fogged over and turned off. I was stuck in a mental loop once again.

I have moments of panic, and my brain wants to hop back onto the hamster wheel. Still, it’s mainly because I have endured a great deal of major life changes in 1 year:

A new job after leaving one I loved, Moving to Ohio with family back in Texas, The passing of my Golden Retriever, The break-up 6 months within all these changes, Some health issues I took care of and am taking care of, Plus having OCD and anxiety/panic attacks. My point is, keep going. I have evolved in my life. I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for what I endured. And suicide is not the ONLY answer.

Healing is not linear. Healing is like a waltz between you and the Divine weaving through time. When you join hands through the healing process, you transition to a beautiful rhythm for yourself and your life. 

You are a beautiful soul, and I want you to know you ARE loved by all of us who know exactly how you feel. We understand.

You fell many times when you were a baby and learning to walk. Did you stop walking? No. You got back up, and you kept trying. You kept trying because you wanted to learn how to walk. You kept going with your desired result as your focus.

And guess what, you did learn how to walk!

Think about something you want to manifest and who you want to be in your new role. Do you want to manifest more success in your business as the CEO? Become an officially published and #1 best-selling authorPay off your debt and become a homeowner? Meet the love of your life and become a wife?

Whatever you desire to experience, performing ManiFAST journaling every day (even if for 5 minutes), train your beliefs to be how you wish them to be. You’re training how you want to think, feel, emote, vibrate into the Universe, and how to make a decision to take action. So, Why Not Use It to Your Advantage?
