Writing came to me in 1975 like a lost dog emerging from a storm. I knew it, and it knew me, though we had never met before; that dog has been at my side ever since.
I have no idea as to from where the muse comes, and I’ve never sought to question it.
I write whatever comes – only if I believe I’m connected to the idea – and I’m happy to go about this work without the restrictiveness of feeling bound to any one genre.
I went to the University of Sydney and, after the professor took delivery of the bottle of wine that had been sent to him as a Christmas gift, I was then required to leave campus and go about my courier work once more.

His jaw almost dropped to the floor, and his heart nearly stopped pounding in his chest as he opened the door slightly, and heard a voice he feared say, "Your wife's mummy's come to stay a while, Michael."(less)

A very insignificant aspect of the LP cover (not artwork related) caught my eye, and I immediately pictured a dead man with that insignificant aspect on his forehead.
Charming, huh?
I didn't write the book back then because I was convinced that I wasn't smart enough to do so.(less)

For me, a great read. The concept of the story is one I find most appealing, and the story is well-told. There's just enough wit within the narrative, and the delivery of that wit comes across as if it's coming from Max Barnes. This, yet
