Steve Rogan Just over a decade ago, I was drinking whiskey and listening to Aqualung by Jethro Tull. A very insignificant aspect of the LP cover (not artwork related) caught my eye, and I immediately pictured a dead man with that insignificant aspect on his forehead.
Charming, huh?
I didn't write the book back then because I was convinced that I wasn't smart enough to do so.
Steve Rogan Any time is the write time. When it comes, it comes. If it doesn't, you're not going to force it. I don't do music while I write, though I don't require silence.
I've never undertaken any course of study on writing, so there's no textbook process I can recommend or relate to.

You get to create any environment you want, and hold dominion over that environment, doing whatever you so choose with those you've created to live in that environment.
You get to kill people (your characters) without all that tedious, "Good evening, sir. We're here to search your house," and the bothersome, "Would you care to explain why this stuffed racoon is covered in blood?" kind of stuff.
And then there's the coffee.
Steve Rogan I leave it. It'll come, it always does.
Steve Rogan Michael heard the noise at the front door again, and decided to investigate. His jaw almost dropped to the floor, and his heart nearly stopped pounding in his chest as he opened the door slightly, and heard a voice he feared say, "Your wife's mummy's come to stay a while, Michael."
Steve Rogan Well, that would have to be the setting of The Seed Keeper. Yes, I am sitting at a computer writing this, but I prefer environments of little to no technology.
Steve Rogan This year I'm just doing beta reading on unpublished manuscripts.
I did pick up a copy of My Story by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in January of this year. I usually go for fiction, but this was an awesome read. Educational too.
