Mysterious Monday - The Sequel to Drop Dead on Recall
A big thanks to my brilliant, talented, funny friend, author Christy English, for tagging me in the ongoing game, The Next Big Thing, which leads a merry path from author to author, all writing about their work, especially their current Work in Progress. Mystery on Monday - Guest Sandra Parshall on Author & Protagonist
It's a pleasure to welcome author Sandra Parshall today. Readers often wonder how much of the author is in our characters. Here are Sandra's thoughts on the subject, and on her series protagonist Rachel Goddard. ~ Sheila

Artsy Fartsy Friday - Awww, Puppies
Things are a little crazy around here as I launch my new mystery, Drop Dead on Recall, finish the sequel, get ready for two conferences, two book signings/talks, a reading, and a class I'm teaching, all in October. I'm also revising some poems, hoping to have them ready to submit soon, and have a few other irons warming up to take center stage after this mayhem ends.

Writing on Wednesday - Mastering the Fine Art of Writing
I get mixed reactions when I tell people I'm back in school. I am. Have been for a year, which puts me half way through the Stonecoast Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program at the University of Southern Maine. After all, I have a doctorate, I've been publishing for years, I've taught writing in universities, at conferences, in adult education programs, in workshops. And I'm drifting toward

Artsy Fartsy Friday: Heart-Felt Occupation with Carole Presberg
I'm delighted to have Carole Presberg as my guest today. I first got to know Carole at least a decade ago through dogs, or more precisely, dog books. Carole runs the online Border Collie Museum, which is well worth a visit for the historical photos. Today, Carole is talking about her stunning hand-made felt and the beautiful pieces she makes from it. Enjoy! ~Sheila

One
of the questions people ask a crime writer is “where do you get your ideas?” or
