You may well ask: Hey, Mark McLaughlin, why do you and your collaborator Michael Sheehan, Jr, co-authors of THE ABOMINATIONS OF NEPHREN-KA, love ancient Egypt horror so much? Good question! My answer: I really don't know! Our childhoods weren't all that different from anyone else's. We both enjoyed the usual wholesome childhood activities ... pulling the brains out of corpses with hooks through their noses to make mummies out of them, gathering sacred herbs, stirring the embalming fluid, praying to Sebek and Anubis under a blood-red moon on the banks of the Nile. Nothing out of the ordinary, I assure you!
