Joan was born and raised in Philadelphia but still will, on occasion, lose her way. At a young age, she received classical instruction in oil painting before discovering that stories were her favorite kind of art. She studied psychology and Chinese history at the University of Pennsylvania and currently writes from a desk overlooking the city
waterfront. Descendant of the Crane is her young adult debut.

I like to leave some room for the reader's interpretation. but in my own mind I envision the Intraface like a smart phone interface in your mind's eye (hence the name Intra--within--face). so yes, imo, Kasey would see the Intraface's interface, with all the apps and such, in her mind's eye, and she'd be opening them with her thoughts. about the TOWMTF ending

originally posted on the FAQ section of my website

What actually happens at the end/to the characters of THE ONES WE’RE MEANT TO FIND? Will there be a sequel?

First off, thank you so much for picking up the book, for reading the book, and for clearly being invested in the book.

Here is the question that I can answer: there is no sequel. There is no story left for me to tell in this particular world Read more of this blog post »
