Day 4,353: Stare

I got up and wrote today! Woohoo! It was a decent session, too. Need to do it again tomorrow, but today was a win.

Took a nap. Made progress on the photos project for the Kings. Took care of pups. Watched a little football. Finished my reading.

A good Sunday. I wish I had one more weekend day, but, whaddya gonna do.

Night night.

Day 4,352: Right Ear

Got my morning sports today, so it was a great day. I don’t know why morning sports are my favorite. I remember feeling that way for the longest time. I’d watch baseball at 10am when the A’s would play getaway games on the east coast, and it was always the best. Watching Wrexham in the mornings is even better because it’s earlier, right when I get up, and football games are pretty much precisely two hours. Then it’s bonus morning if there’s an F1 race.

Thinking of Lewis Hamilton today—his pup...

Day 4,351: Tommen Broder

Tommen is back! Woot. His leg is feeling better. Coops is doing well, too, his eye continues to be much improved, and Joy…well Joy is still a maniac. My best maniac. A very good lady.

Platonic is really good, by the way. Like REALLY good. Rose Byrne is astonishingly good. She’s one of the best comedic actresses on the planet, truly, watching how amazing she is in that show. I’m so impressed.

Work was insanely busy today. I’m absolutely wiped. I worked for like eleven hours today. Whew. But...

Day 4,350: I Was Watching My Kid

Miyazaki is a genius, of that there is no doubt. And seems like a good guy, if a bit grumpy and tactless…but I am definitely glad he’s not my father. Woof. And the thing is, I see it, I see what his bone to pick was with his son’s first film, but that’s not why that moment in time was so uncomfortable, you know? It wasn’t the film. It was the fact that his son didn’t know who Hayao was. He’d never been there. And he was cold. And awkward. There was resentment. All of THAT is why the moment where...

Day 4,348: Coco Everywhere

I had one of those days today where I woke up waaaaay to early and couldn’t get back to sleep. Sigh. So I was tiiiiired today. Still, I did my work. Even my reading at the end of the night.

I’m picking up my writing session tracking again, I think. We’ll see if it sticks. I have this moleskin I used to use (all the way back in 2021!) when I was working on the first Glory book. Each daily writing session gets a little square, and I color it in if I did that session. Liz gave me this rainbow se...

Day 4,347: Princess Joy

Late! Late, and getting up early in the AM to give Coops his drops, still, so this will be a quick one…

Got my ass up and outlined. Work was BUSY today. Whew! But I got everything done. We did a Costco run before work, though, and filled up the fridge and pantry. Thank goodness. And for the evening, we went to a book signing with Matt Dinniman, who does the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. He was so nice. I actually know (of) him from my 20Books days. He’s a fellow indie author. Went to the Vegas...

Day 4,346: Belly

Played hackey sack with Wolfie, then the Pokémon game he wanted to play with me. He was SO excited to do that. Like, squealing with joy levels of excited. So that was fun.

Got up early, as per usual now to give the Coops all his meds. That meant I was able to watch F1, though, and eat breakfast, and as we all know, morning sports are my favorite kind of sports.

Big nap when we got home from the King’s. Stephen and Thida picked up Tommen. We watched the Niners game, and what a game it was! ...

Day 4,345: Quali

So, Saturday mornings are my favorite mornings now during the English football season because I get to wake up and watch a Wrexham game. It’s like American Football in the sense that every game is so massive because they only play once a week (for the most part—there are exceptions). And, it’s first thing in the morning here in LA. I love it. Liz and the pups are snoozing. It’s cool and quiet. I make food and watch my sports. Heaven!

Did that this morning. Watched some F1, too, which is the o...

Day 4,344: Five Movies

It be late…but it was a good day today! Busy busy busy, but good. Coops got a thumbs up from his eye doc about the progress of his eye healing. Tommen was feeling better today after being in a lot of pain yesterday. Joy was perfect. Got lots of Netflix work, actually, but handled it like a boss…and then podcasting with Josh to finish out the evening. It was a great day.

Night night.
