Day 3,250: Limb

You guys, there’s a restaurant in Culver City called Etta, and brunch there is INSANE. We went this morning with JJ and JP and…well, it’s just so freaking good. Great way to start off the weekend. I can still taste the mango dessert we got. THAT good.

Got some Netflix work done. Took an epic nap. Going to bed late, but that’s okay – we watched a couple episodes of Alone with JJ and JP. Walked the pups. Took care of the kitties — oh! and we saw Marmalade again today; she was down on the ground...

Day 3,249: Thus

I wonder if my prose is too purple.

Thoughts of a dude who’s getting closer to finishing his next book. Sigh. Real close.

We went and saw Moderat tonight at the Wiltern. I love them SO MUCH. They brought the noise. We didn’t stand in the greatest place acoustically, BUT…we were right up front so we had a great view. Crowd was great. Particularly for an “LA” crowd. It was a great night.

Night night.

Day 3,248: JJ

JJ is in town visiting. We’re going to a concert tomorrow. Life is GOOD.

I had a zero of a writing day, so I’m going to bed right on time tonight. Night night.

Day 3,247: Rhythm

It’s early…but I can already tell you that I’m back into a rhythm. Thank you lord. Gonna finish this book here sometime soon. I finally, FINALLY crossed over into Act 3 today. Whew! Home stretch. It’s clear who we must stop, even if it’s not entirely clear yet how we do it. Showdown time.

I love writing. I really do.

Night night.

Day 3,246: Apparently

Man. Solid, SOLID day today. It was EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED.

I cranked out almost ten pages before breakfast. That set me up to be on top of a metric crap ton of client work today, which all went really, really well. Got ever so slightly caught up on one clients’ reading…need to really jam with that tomorrow, actually, since I’m getting close to our deadline. But, I’m within striking distance, so I’m not overly worried about it.

Just a really solid day today, guys. I really, really needed it...

Day 3,245: Blue Bike

DJ’d tonight. Hence a little bit of a late entry…but it was worth it. So fun.

I have pain in my shoulders and my neck. It’s from stress. Working on trying to get it to go away, but it’s slow going. Sigh. Working on it. It was a lot better today than it was yesterday. Need to let go.

A solid work day will help with that. So…sleep. Night night.

Day 3,244: I’m Good

We have the cutest pups in the land. There, I said it. It’s decided. Debate over.

Cooper has his hair at the perfect length right now. Just the right amount of floof. Bangs over his eyes. The tips of his hair are just starting to curl. And Coco was a MANIAC when I put her to bed tonight. She wanted to dig and wiggle worm for like five minutes. She crazy.

They both definitely had some extra energy tonight because we were gone for most of the day visiting with Derrick and Gary. Jo, Reed, Taj...

Day 3,243: DJing

We set up the DJ controller again, finally. Man…I haven’t mixed a set in waaaaaayyyy too long. I need to figure that shit out. I want more music to write to. Crave it. Need it.

I need to finish my book, guys. Simple as that. Then move along. I’m so close. Sigh. Resistance fighting me hard on that one, for sure. Been a rough couple weeks for the writing. But, I’m still within striking distance.

Striking Distance…that’s a fun name for a book. I’m sure it’s been used a million times, but stil...

Day 3,242: It Had To Be You

We watched When Harry Met Sally tonight for the Film School podcast. Josh had never seen it, and he’s a bit of the old romantic. A perfect combination. One of our best watches, I think. It’s up there. Such a good movie. One of my favorites, and easily Liz’s all-time favorite. It’s about friends becoming lovers. The script is perfect, as is the almost sitcom-style direction…both elevated. Some of those NYC shots are jaw-dropping. And Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan are next-level amazing. It’s a perfe...

Day 3,241: Thinkthinkthink

Had a legit low key day today. Did my Netflix work. And that was abouuuuuttt it. It was exactly what I needed. Whew.

Plan was to jump in and write tomorrow, but I might scrap that. Maybe not, though, now that I think about it. 30 pages today and tomorrow is better than zero pages…

I’ll sleep on it.

Night night.
