Day 3,283: Deman

We watched Paranormal Activity for the podcast tonight. It was fun! Not great, but at the same time a classic. I can’t really tell you how that makes sense, but it does. It was great for the time for sure. And it still mostly plays. No question. Just wish it went a little more crazy in the end, brought a little more noise.

Day 3,282: Working On It

Made progress today. Whew. It was solid work from 7am to 9pm—with a quick nap in the afternoon, which was CLUTCH—but I got some major shit done. Whew!

We have a cat colony in our backyard. It’s because I’m feeding them, so it’s alllll by design. BUT…one of the kittens is getting old enough that a male in the group started pursuing her today. He was very sweet about it, actually…but we don’t want more babies. Nor do we want fights. So, Liz just reached out to a rescue and we’re going to figure...

Day 3,281: Overstuffed

See, my issue right now is that I have too much going on. I was hella busy today. Worked from 7:30am to 9pm nonstop (save for a 30 minute nap in the afternoon that was CLUTCH), and I didn’t get nearly as much stuff done as I wanted to. But…I got as much done as I could. And that’s honestly good enough for me right now.

I need to buckle down and get shit done, and I can. I have three more work days to rock and roll. Gonna use them.

Day 3,280: The Swing

Okay. So…today was solid. Not GREAT, but solid.

Tomorrow needs to be great. In fact, I need a few great days this week. Sigh. Need to knuckle down and just get some shit done. Le sigh.

Day 3,279: Not Linear

Our new TV is…everything I’ve ever wanted. Movies look INCREDIBLE on it. The sound is even better than our last TV, even though we’re using the same soundbar setup. I looked it up, and it’s a real thing: this new connection type allows lossless audio to pass through, which our soundbar can handle, and I can tell the difference. It’s so, soooo dope.

Day 3,278: Coco Close

Coco is pressed up against me so tight right now, it’s hard to write. She has her chin right up on my arm. Her head bobs every time I reach for a key on my keyboard.

She’s started to walk a little slower lately on our walks. Just noticed it over the past couple days. Liz thinks it’s probably arthritis, and I think there’s a good chance she’s right. She’s…getting older. It’s scary. Dogs can go downhill very, very suddenly. It’s kind of shocking. I hope that’s not happening to Coco. I need her ...

Day 3,277: Song Structure

Making it a QUICK one tonight because it’s laaaate…but had a very productive workday. Podcasted. Looking forward to the weekend. New TV coming tomorrow morning. Therapy. Haircut. Some work. A nap, probably…it’s gonna be LIT.

Day 3,276: Clean

I am currently getting a tongue bath on my right arm from a certain pup pup named Coco. She had the lickies BIG time tonight, and she’s just going to town. Oh, she finally stopped because Liz came through the room. I guess I’m clean enough now. She can rest. Thanks Coco.

Day 3,275: Pushed!

I pushed today!

Whew. I got this project done for work that was hanging over me. Quite a bit heavier of a lift than usual. Took me like fourteen hours today, BUT…it’s done. And I’m happy with what I put together! It’s a bunch of match-cuts. I think they’re going to like them. I hope so, anyway. I don’t actually have any context on what they’re being used for, but I hope what I made fits.

I also got in some reading. AND recording of some Brain FM stuff I want to use for more writing materia...

Day 3,274: Pushin

I didn’t push today. Sigh. Don’t get me wrong, I still worked. I was still pretty damn productive…but certain things took longer than I thought they would, and I could have worked longer to make sure I still got everything done that I’d planned to.

I didn’t.

Sigh.

Tomorrow, I will. I’m close, you guys. REALLY close to catching all the way back up. Just have to keep pushing when I have the energy to do so.
