A fun weekend at the Pet Show
We spent the whole weekend at the Pet Show in Stafford which was good fun. We met lots of new fwends and old but sadly we couldn't do any storytime's cos they only gave us a space about as big as Bailey's IQ and not big enough to swing a mini hooman and I did try. The funniest bit was when dad noticed a doglet walking past following a group of lassie asbo's which looked a lot like the heffalump. He noticed that it even had the same colour headcollar and was slobbering all over the terrified looking short legged pups. It was at that point that poobag realised it WAS Cookie and dad had dropped lead while he was chatting which is what he did all day. By this time they were having a nervous breakdown cos they were sure this slobbernosserus was about to eat them one by one so when the hairy hippo was grabbed they were very grateful.I then had a clumsy spangle that was saying hello to me when it tried to get underneath me to have a sniff but I didn't fancy that so I moved.....it tired again.....I moved again.....when it tried one more time I wasn't happy but dad had me held by the headcollar so I had no choice....It was a right hook that finally persuaded it to leave me alone but don't worry it was fine once it had got back to it's feet.....never made a spangle fly before but I have to say it was a lot of fun.....

My first radio appearance
On Sunday I was very lucky to be invited to my first ever radio station. I can hear you saying how can a hooge newfydoof, however talented, talk on the radio? Well this is obviously why we have hoomans and so I had dad come along to do the talking while I got all the fusses and had a lovely snooze while he waffled.I was featured onChorley FM with the very nice hooman lady Nicola Adam. Unfortunately it turns out she was allergic to me and I managed to turn her red, blotchy and itchy within minutes of my arrival. Apart from that it was great and it turns out I wasn't allergic to her at all. I'm still not totally convinced it was me cos people have odd reactions when they're in the same room as dad so it's all a bit of a coincidence really. Anyway you can read more about my appearance here. https://www.lep.co.uk/news/opinion/don-t-work-with-children-or-animals-without-an-encylopedia-and-a-bucketful-of-antihistamine-particularly-on-the-radio-1-9304378You can follow Nicola on twitter @jabberingjournoor at https://ladylessordinary.com/

Monty and Friends save Christmas...coming soon
The Christmas pictures are coming through pretty quickly from Zoe and they are looking fantastic. I know I'm biased but now the colour is being added, there are some really beautiful illustrations going to be in this book. They compliment the story perfectly and I am so excited to see it all together. It is going to be a small run of books to make sure there aren't lots left after Christmas and I'm still trying to work out the best way of taking orders to make sure everyone who wants one gets one.I'll put a few sneak peaks soon. Love them.

Indoor pool newfydoof style
Now, today me licckle hooman beans I have another tip from Monty king DIY doof. This time we have a very simple project as the heatwave continues and this the creation of your very own indoor pool. This comes in very handy at this time of the year and it's great for paddling, sliding into a sitting position effortlessly, or even a small swimming pool for short legged doglets. The construction is easy.1.You will need a hooge sleeping Pandacow in the back garden. 2. Order summat from Amazon to be delivered when nobody is expecting it. 3. Put freshly filled water bowl on stand directly between sleeping Pandacow and front door. 4. Get delivery person to knock the door as loud as possibleThe pool will then be created as if by magic....You're welcome. More tips next week.

Monty and Cookie love their Fishy treats
Every night at nine O'clock something wonderful happens. Yes it's time for our evening treat. The trouble is that by eight, Cookie aka the hairy hippo has turned into a slobbering bouncing ball of expectation. Now I love our snacks but I do have the ability to control myself where as drooly Julie is fast creating a pool of newfygoo that could almost drown a cockeyed spangle. So what is the reason for all this excitement? Well these aren't just ordinary treats.....no, these are Whitefish Jerky & Irish Seaweed Burgers from Sea treats. These are without any question at all our favreetist, bestest yummiest snack ever. Now the hoomans at Sea Treats will say that these are, 'A premium fish skin treat, with organic hand-harvested Irish seaweed. These are a fantastic treat for larger dogs, giving a big crunch great for dental hygiene!'That may well be the case but I don't really care about all that stuff....I just love the taste of them and they are really crunchy and actually last three or four minutes....well for me anyway. For more info about these great treats and loads more yummy scrummy stuff go to https://seatreats.co.uk/

I do love worming day
Today was worming day. I actually enjoy worming day as silly as it sounds, cos it does give me a giggle. The funny fing is dad's efforts to give everyone their tablets but the most fun is him giving them to me. Well he has this plan and it's always the same....Wrap the nasty tablets in something yummy and fool the silly doglets. The heffalump of course eats the meaty treat wivout it even touching sides and doesn't even realise what is going on. Then it's the spangles and they're even sillier. They will the tablets of deathtoworms wivout even needing a treat. Molly knocked hers out of dad's hand ate the treat then scoffed the medicine before anyone else could.....silly spangles. Then it's me.....ha ha.....The hooman finks that he is soooo clever and wrapped me tablets in three tasty parcels of yummy ham. Yep....1.....2.....3.....all gone. Then it's just a case of swallowing the ham and spitting the nasty fings on the floor. It's now when he starts getting all flustercated and letting me hear all those words he saves for special occasions. Round 2. This time it's a luvvly dollop of our yoghurt. Lap lap...slurp slurp....spit spit :)Now after more funny words and a really red face we always get to this bit....tablets straight down me throat and then rub under me chin. Shove....shove.....rub....rub....wait.......wait....he's going....spit spit.....ahhh I do enjoy this game it's sooo hilaryarse. Ok in the end he gets them where they're meant to go but that's good cos we have to have our wormers don't we?.....Nuffin wrong wiv a bit of fun along the way though is there?I wonder what he'll try next?

Keeping Monty moving with YuMOVE
Monty has never been a big mover. Don't get me wrong he'll have a trot on the beach or in the park but generally he's happiest when he's laying with his legs in the air, snoring. That being said when he was diagnosed with a tear on his abductor muscle a few years ago it certainly impacted on his quality of life. Giant breeds can really suffer with joint and muscle issues and Monty's problem came from the 'splits' effect that can often happen when getting up from a floor with a slippery or shiny surface. We have tried as best as possible to limit his exposure to these type of floors, but as time has gone on it's pretty clear that he has aches and pains in his joints generally. Because of this we have spent a lot of time looking at supplements that might aid his movement and limit his discomfort. After researching, and trying quite a few products we ordered some YuMOVE from Animed Direct and started Monty on the daily recommend dose. I never like to over exaggerate products but it's very hard to be anything but enthusiastic about the results YuMOVE has had on Monty. Within weeks of starting him on the tablets there was visible increase in his mobility and the occasional limp he had from the muscle injury has never returned. I began by saying that he isn't particularly active but though he may not be the most of athletic of dogs he certainly has a very full doggydiary. During term times he can visit up to three schools a week helping hundreds of children to read through our story times. He is also invited to many shows, charity events and festivals throughout the year with Crufts, the Edinburgh Fringe and the inaugural Dog Lovers Show in Glasgow just to name a few. Next month Monty will be at the Pet Show 2018 in Stafford meeting and greeting hundreds of his fans and followers and none of this would be possible without a very good supplement and YuMOVE has certainly worked for the big fella of that I have no doubt. We were lucky enough to meet up with Lintbells at Crufts this year and spoke at length about the research and development of the product, particularly the Green Lipped Mussel found in the waters of New Zealand. I'd recommend having a look at their website www.lintbells.com to see more about the background and benefits of YuMOVE. I certainly hope that Monty will continue his amazing work and the wonderful effect he has on those he meets for many years to come. Since starting him on a regular dose of YuMOVE I truly believe he will. For more information about ordering YuMOVE or hundreds more products for your pet at great value, visit Animed Direct.
