Snow is gone! Time to put up lights.
Awww, come on, guys! (I’m laughing, really, I am.) Six people contacted Guy about their shirts, and not one of them told him the size of the shirt or the email it was ordered under. And you know what he did? He came into my office and griped at me for a good ten minutes. (head hits the desk) So there it is. [ To order one for pre-tour delivery, click ]
If you’ve been reading along with us, we’re in the middle of FOR A FEW DEMONS MORE. It’s summer, and Rachel is running around in shorts and a chemise as she visits the morgue, getting that toe-tag from Iceman and finding out that David thinks he’s blacking out and murdering his girlfriends, and boy does he have a lot, which impresses both Glenn and Kisten.
Ivy’s put down her ultimatum of “if you jerk me around, I’m going to take you up on it” and Trent’s almost becoming human as he begs her to play security at his wedding because Lee has agreed to be his best man. He is Al’s familiar, and it smells of trouble, bad.
I’m at the point where Rachel has been out to Spring Grove to see the murdered/suicide Were and she runs into Tom. I had completely forgotten about him and that black magic cult. Cool.
It’s still on sale for 1.99 at most U.S. outlets. [ click for a list of them ]
You can take part of the conversation here or at Goodreads, where the threads tend to stick around a little longer.

Snow!
Yay! It finally snowed again! Not a whole lot, because I can still see the grass between the flakes, but enough to make the trees look pretty. And when it snows, I usually barricade myself in my office and don’t come out but for new pots of tea and maybe a cookie. Maybe two. The weather map says no more snow today, and possibly even rain, (blah) but it looks nice now.
Couple of things today. The readers have spoken, and Jim Butcher’s COLD DAYS has won this year’s Goodreads reader choice award. Congratulations, Jim. It was a wonderful group of books. Lots of my faves in there.
And . . . if you have ordered a tour T. Guy has been getting a few email from disgruntled readers who have not received their shirt yet. Ah, that’s because they have not come back from the printer yet. I tried to make it very clear when putting out the “how to order” information that there will be only two print runs, one in time for Christmas giving, the other right before the tour. You’re welcome to drop Guy an email and ask him if he got you order, but please include the email associated with your pay pal account and shirt size so he can look it up. (Without that pay pal email, he comes griping into my office and I don’t get anything done.)
Please don’t put a freeze on his pay pal account because you haven’t gotten your shirt yet. Huh? Please? Pretty please with pixy dust on top? We’re aiming to have the shirts in the mail very shortly, but we have to get them back from the printer first.

Cyber Monday!: deals and a downloadable/printable card
Happy Cyber Monday! And if you think you’re deja vu-ing, you’re not.
I’ve got something special for those of you who have, or are ordering The Undead Pool for the holidays–a printable/sendable gift card. There’s even a smaller version for sending by phone. So pick your size and feel free to download, print, and/or send.
Large to print out: click to go to big image.

Small for phones:

Giving The Undead Pool as a gift and haven’t picked it up yet? Pre order at:
Or pre-order a signed from me-to-you copy from Nicolas’s (the link wasn’t working last Friday A.M, but it is now.) Just be sure to tell them who you want me to sign it to at the comment’s box when you order. International is okay, but give them an e-mail for a shipping quote before you do. nicolasbooks@tds.net
Some of the e-books are still on sale, too. If you’ve not picked it up yet, HOLIDAYS ARE HELL is sort of a prequel of Rachel as an 18 year old accidentally summoning Pierce for the first time. Robbie, her brother is in this one, and it’s easy to see why Rachel makes the decisions she does as an adult when you see her early history.

Black Friday: deals and a downloadable/printable card
Happy Black Friday! I had a great Thanksgiving with my boys and folks. After years in boxes, I finally had the chance to use the china my great grandmother gave me when I was 12. And the turkey, my first, was pretty darn good. (I’d done chickens, hams, and game hens, but never turkey.)
I hope everyone had a safe holiday, and that they continue to be safe if they are going out shopping today! Phew, not for me.
I know it’s not cyber Monday, when many online dealers have sales to entice a boost in sales, but I’ve been sitting on this a couple of days, and I can’t wait anymore. For those of you who are pre-ordering The Undead Pool for the holidays, I’ve got a printable/sendable gift card for you. There’s even a smaller version good for sending by phone. So pick your size and feel free to download, print, and/or send.

I’ve been reading For A Few Demons More for the read-along, but my thoughts so far are not really enough to put here. I’ve started some threads for Skimmer, Minas, and Rachel’s trip to the morgue over at Goodreads.

Happy Thanksgiving and Chanukah!
Did ja know it was the same day this year? And that it won’t happen again until 79811, unless the Jewish calendar is tweaked to take into account the slight incongruity between it the solar calendar, in which case it could happen again in a mere 133 years. (Leap year, anyone? That’s why the Gregorian calendar does it.) I’m betting they do. The chance to have one day where an entire continent and an entire faith both take a day to recognize blessings is pretty powerful stuff.
I’ll be taking tomorrow off, but I’ll be back Friday with something kind of neat for you Black Friday shoppers. I’ll also have the next couple of tour stops. East Coast, I’m looking at you!

A Fistful of Charms flash-give away
Good luck!
http://kimharrison.wordpress.com/
Fistful of Charms Flash Give-Away
It’s the fourth of my give-aways in conjunction with the Hollows Read Along. For A Few Demons More is officially on sale today, but you still might find, A Fistful of Charms up there yet if you hurry. [click for links to multiple platforms]
To enter the contest for the prize pack, all you have to do is drop down to the comment box at the end of the page here and tell me if you think Nick truly loved Rachel–in as much as he can love a person–up until he found out the focus had been switched. (If you’ve not read the book, then tell me what you think of the cover.) Your post is your entry into the random drawing, so please comment only once–on your honor! I’ve heard it gets hard to enter from your phone after noon due to the number of entries, so be aware you might have to enter from a different device.
Prize pack contains a signed cover flat for Ever After, a hard cover copy of A Fistful of Charms, a hard cover copy of Into the Woods, a bunny pin, bus token, and one of Marshal’s warmth amulet freebies. Because of the rarity of the Fistful of Charms hard cover, I’m only able to offer three prize packs.
Rules and Regs. I will open the page for comments Monday, 9:00 a.m. EST, and close it Tuesday 9:00 a.m. EST. I will then use a random number generator to choose the three winning commenters.
Stuff to know before commenting:
Guy will ship overseas, so international is okay.
Chances of winning are dependent on how many enter.
My decision is final, even if you quibble over it.
I will contact the winners Tuesday afternoon using the email address they used to comment with, so please check it in the next day or so. If you don’t respond to me by email by noon Friday (EST), I’m giving the prize pack to the runner up, also chosen by the random number generator. I’ve actually had this happen twice now, which is kind of a sad ratio, so please check your email if you enter.
Few other things since I’ve got your ear.
It is the last day to enter the first of Harper’s two sweepstakes where they’re giving away signed copes of the first five books. Enter here.
It’s also the last day to cast your vote in the final tier of the Goodreads reader choice awards. Ever After is a nominee in the paranormal fantasy genre! I am so jazzed about this as the readers are so very important to me, (even when we disagree over certain deaths or romantic paths.) Vote for EVER AFTER, vote for someone else, but vote. I’ve got a lot of friends in there, and it’s all good! (Paranormal Fantasy genre.)
I’m starting For A Few Demons More tonight in the read-along. This is the first Hollows book that came out in hard cover, and I do believe one of my longest manuscripts before I started consciously trimming them back. You can take part here at the drama box, or at Goodreads where the threads of conversation tend to hang around a little longer. [click image to go to goodreads]
P.P.S. If you’ve not seen it, The Undead Pool has gone up for pre-order! Yay! Amazon Barnes & Noble Books-A-Million (ship date is wrong) IndieBound Or you can order a from me-to-you signed book from Nicolas. (just be sure to tell them in the comments box who you want it signed to when you order.)
Tour T-shirts are still available for order as well. It’s the last day to make the pre-Christmas order. There will be another before long.

Last call for pre-Christmas tour t-s
Happy Friday! We made it to another one, and I’m still trying to decide if I got enough work done this week, or if I’m going to fret today and try to cram more into this afternoon than humanly possible. I’m leaning toward being happy with my output, but we’ll see how this morning goes. I’ve been working on book 13, finding “emotional holes” and filling them. It’s very slow going, and exhausting. (You won’t believe me how exhausting until you’ve done it yourself.)
Guy talked to our local shirt person, and we’ve had to move the deadline for pre-Christmas tour-T’s up. (I’m sorry for any stress this has caused, but I’m trying to do local when I can.) Last day to order and get in on this first print run is November 26, noon, EST. Guy has to have your order in hand by then. We can’t go by postmarks, so if you’re snail-mailing money, email him to tell him it’s coming. Otherwise, your order is in the after-Christmas print run. Both pre and post print runs will have the Free Vampire Society pin included. This is the only way to get a pin other than at a signing.
If you have ordered a shirt and are anxious to know if Guy has your order, check your pay-pal account. If the money has moved, we’ve got your order. (Any question, email guy with the date you ordered, size, and the email your pay pal is associated with. Otherwise, he comes into my office complaining, and I don’t get anything done.)
I’m going to send you to the website for how to order: [order a tour T ]
And don’t forget! Monday is another flash-giveaway! Guy and I found three, (yes, three!) hard covers of A Fistful of Charms. Each prize pack contains a hard cover of FOC, an Into the Woods hard cover, EVER AFTER cover flat, bunny pin, bus token, and one of Marshal’s warmth amulets/FOC freebie.
I’m running it like the other read-along give aways, so come back Monday for your chance to win one of these bad-boys. I think they are the only three left on planet Earth. -grin-
Also, if you’re still looking for your 1.99 e-book, FOC, DWW, and FAFDM are still on sale. (click to go to multiple platform links)

Kim’s got fears. (snerk)
Went to the dentist yesterday.
I don’t like the dentist. They are very nice, and kind, and gentle, but I don’t like being there, and it’s not their fault. Walked out with a new toothbrush and an A+ on my report card. I don’t have to go back for another year, and I’m happy ecstatic.
I had the best nights sleep. I am so totally relaxed right now, it’s not funny. I guess it was weighing on me more than I thought.
Today I’m working on book 13, trying to pull in some of the emotions and feelings that I just reread in A Fistful of Charms. This re-read has let me see the entire series arc in a new way, and I’ve got stuff to do . . .
