My day off . . .

I wasn't going to post today because it's a rest day, but I had to share!  (And maybe you'll wish I hadn't when I'm done.)

I have been out for a while now, and I miss my dogs terriably, especially since Alex who was doing badly the first week out.  My mother is keeping a tight watch on her and is taking her to the vet to knock what appears to be allergies back down.  But I miss her and Xander, and Guy got me a puppy to tide me over.

She's cute and all, but I still want my dogs, and I know the first thing I'm going to do when I get home is lay on the floor with them for a good ten minutes.

Travel day!

Yesterday I gave you links to interviews, and today I've got something a little more interactive.  Harper has put together a video synopsis of the entire series to date, so if you have someone you're trying to get hooked on the Hollows, go check it out!  The Hollows

And secondly, I have a radio interview I did while in Cincinnati.  Apparently the radio station is on the site of an old insane asylum.  Too cool!  (Research!!!!)

Cincinnati Edition Mark actually reads the books, and you can tell by his questions.

I'm traveling today out to Sacramento, and I hope it's warm because I shipped my heavy coat home and left my other at the hotel.  (sigh . . . )  If I get home with leaving only one thing behind, I guess I'm doing good.  Black coat, black chair, dark room.  It happens.

But yesterday's signing out at Barnes and Noble in San Antonio was fabulous!  One of my writer friends, Rachel Vincent, met me at my hotel and we had lunch at the river walk–catching up and relaxing before the event.  The event itself was great, with a few questions that I'd never been asked before.

Tomorrow I have off, so I won't be posting, but I'll be at Borders in Sacramento on Thursday!

More pictures of the event

San Antonio tonight!

The interviews I've been doing over the last couple of weeks are trickling in, and I've got a few for you this morning.

I talked to Steve out at the San Antonio Express.  Hollows Author Has Fun

I talked to John  at the Miami Herald Review Rachel and Pals Set Out on A Road Trip

And I talked to Allen out at the Sacramento Bee.  Author Kim Harrison Creates

Popular Urban Fantasies

Yesterday at Book People was great!  I've got pictures and You/Tubes up at the website!

Guy and I had a relaxing afternoon in the sun afterward.  It was the first I'd had a chance to be in for a long time, and it felt great!  It's spring down here, with the redbuds blooming, which makes me hope that the snow is gone by the time I get back home to Michigan.  (I can dream, can't I? -grin-)

Tonight I'll be in San Antonio, at Barnes & Noble at 15900 La Cantera Pkwy.  Hope to see some of you there!

Pictures and YouTubes of Murder By The Book are up!

Last night's signing with Patricia Briggs was a wonderful success!  I've never signed with Patricia, and sheias as witty and fun as I had imagined.  I've got the pictures up, and a bunch of You/Tubes, some with questions!  If you're looking for signed copies, you won't find any there.  We ran out almost before the signing started.  (Good for me, bad for you.  Sorry!)  Pictures

Tonight I'll be in Austin at Book People at 3:00 pm.  Hope to see you there!

Joint signing with Kim Harrison and Patricia Briggs

I will be signing with Patricia Briggs tonight, out at Murder by the Book in Houston, and I can't wait!

Last night was Barnes and Noble in Tulsa, and we were standing on the tables!  Okay, I was the only one who was standing on the table, but it was a great event, and my voice held out all the way to the end.  (Which I was really worried about.)  Pictures and question/YouTubes are up at the website. Tulsa Barnes and Noble

And I have to thank the ladies in Lawton who gave me the mustache band-aid.  It came in very handy on my pinky toe, rubbed by my new boots.  -laugh-

Tonight, I'm in Tulsa!

Last night's event at Hastings in Lawton OK went fabulously!  The store wasn't set up for Q&A, so we got right to the signing, and people asked me questions at the signing table.  Several of the YouTubes have questions, too, so if you're curious, go check out the updated picture page.  Hastings, Lawton OK

Also, I've got a radio interview I did with Mark when I was in Cincinnati.  Want a listen?  Here's the link!  Fly Pod

I'm doing the 2-step.

Good news!  It is Thursday, which means yesterday was Wednesday, which means I found out where Pale Demon placed on the NY Times list!

Because of all your frantic reading in the first week of sales, you pushed Pale Demon to the number 2 spot on the NY Times Hardcover list!

We also hit 2 on the combined print list of HC and paperback

7 on USA Today

7 for e-book

and 4 for combined print and ebook sales.

Thanks, guys!  You made it happen!

St. Louis Public Library

The library was fantastic, and we skated out of there last night with two minutes to spare!  (Though it was kind of scary when the lights went off in a five-minute warning.)  -laugh-

Here I am with my roadies!  It was great to see a couple of familiar faces.  More pictures and YouTubes

But before the library event, I had a very short chat with Kent at Great Day St. Louis at KMOV-TV  If you're curious as to the question he asked that took me by surprise, check it out.  My segment starts about 4:14.  Great Day St. Louis

I'll be at Hastings, Lawton OK tonight.  Hope to see some of you there!

St. Louis, tonight, at the library!

I'll be out at the library tonight, from 7-9.  (They are kicking me out at 9, so we might have to limit the number of books I personalize.  I'm sorry, I'll do my best.)  Where'll be exactly. . .

Last night, we had a great time out at the Des Moines Library.  It was a "virgin" crowed, and they were not shy with the questions!  (Which I loved.)    Pictures are up at the website, but it's going to take me a while to catch up with your questions you posted yesterday.  I had a very early morning, and just now am starting my day with a Big.  Huge.  Lunch!!

Pictures of the Des Moines Library event.

Des Moines tonight!

I've had a lovely break before the next big push on the road and head off to St. Louis, and I will be doing a signing/event out at the Des Moines East Side Public Library on Hubble Ave at 6:30 tonight.  I hope to see some of you there.  However, if you are local to the area, you might get a glimpse of me earlier if you turn on KCCI TV for the noon news.  I should be on very briefly.  Just enough to say kiss-kiss.  -laugh-

I spent yesterday getting my clothes washed, my nails redone, and SHOPPING!!  I'm truly not one to shop much, but when I see something I like, I have a hard time saying no.  So now I have a new pair of boots I have to somehow get home.  I'll be wearing them tonight, and I might just mail off my others.  ;-)
