Shannon Foster is the wife of Steven Foster. If that name sounds familiar, yes he is the author of the poetry book called Echos of the Soul: A collection of poems written from the heart. Shannon and Steve share their home with their 20lb cat Gizmo(oh right it is his house not theirs). Shannon is a 1o+ year survivor of uterine cancer. She is also the owner of an island in Iowa during high water and storm drainage failure. Fishing is not recommended. Shannon has love of all things purple and teal, most greens, paisley and elephants. When she is not creating beautiful artwork and coloring books, she is teaching swim classes at the local YWCA or spending time with friends…oh yeah and reading over 200 books a year.

If I have primarily been working on digital illustration I switch to watercolor or pointed pen calligraphy. I did however experience writer’s block on my 3rd book as I chose to have questions instead of bible verses following each coloring page and that really set me back trying to come up with all 30 of them. What’s the best thing about being a writer?
S.E. Foster Seeing my name on the cover and holding my book in my hands. It never gets old seeing the first print copy of each book.
