I'm going Crazy

Hi Nightmares,So I've decided to go crazy. I have set aside my short stories (The Watcher Series) for now because I just cannot shake Asylum. I needed to delve into and I'm already 8000 words into after one weekend. It's insane. It's dark. It's twisted.I watched a live stream of an Autopsy for it.Be prepared!I haven't set a release day yet but I am going to be writing a lot to get it out asap because I just NEED to share this story with you. What's Happening?Lot's of cool stuff is happening in and around my life but one of the coolest things that is GOING to happen is happening next Monday. The Journal Books. My heart just isn't with Watcher right now because I am just OBSESSED with Asylum so I have decided to take the advise of my Beta Readers, shelve Watcher and The Watched for now, and come back to them later on.Asylum is going to be OFF THE HOOK! This is going to be the longest and deepest, darkest book I have ever written and I'm already scared! I cannot wait to start on it! Release Days; Free Books and More

Hello Nightmares! We are nine days away from the official release of #TheCullingThis has been a rollercoaster ride of note! It's the first time I delayed a release so that I can do full blown marketing all on my own! Of course, that's because I am saving money for COMICON in September but still, I have worked seriously hard, alongside some amazing authors, bloggers and of course NIGHTMARES to make sure this is my best book and release EVER!It's been a fairly hectic week with my #DayJob so I haven't spent much time on writing during the week. It's Been A Long Weekend

Hey NightmaresAt the moment in my country it is a long weekend. That means we are busy with our April bank holidays. We normally have a long weekend at the beginning of the month (Thank you Easter) and then at the end of the month (Celebrating the Freedom of our country from the constructs of Apartheid.) This time around the bank holidays were Friday and Tuesday and my gracious and lovely boss gave us the Monday off for good measure so I had five days off of happiness.The WeekendWell, not complete happiness. Friday was end of month shopping (no one enjoys this, especially not Toni and I when we are not feeling well). Yesterday was a happy day for both Toni and I. Toni was running our stall at the Discworld Fayre in Muldersdrift (if you want to know more go check out her blog post on www.tonicoxauthor.com it will be under her blog) and while she did this I was celebrating the union of a good friend of mine to her husband, and I was in a dress! It was such a wonderful wedding and I was so happy to be the maid of honour and be included in the festivities.So technically our weekend is starting now. Three days of just book related stuff and it feels great because normally we have to run around in between our stuff. Today we're going to spend the day working on our marketing and tomorrow and Tuesday we will spend writing to our hearts content. (Okay okay, Toni still has work but I'm going with her for moral support and writing while I'm there - Sorry Toni!) Tuesday and the fun beginsTuesday will be a big day for me though as I officially begin the marketing campaign for The Culling! Yes it's loaded and ready for Pre-Order. I'm so excited that I decided to market this myself. I think it's going to be so much fun and so excited! I hope you're ready because I feel like this is the darkest work I have written yet, so much so that my next two books are going to have to be just a tad lighter or I might permanently traumatize myself. This has to be the best news I am going to give you yet! And I say yet because I have no idea what else this AWESOME 2018 has in store for me.ComicCon AfricaIt is with the greatest pride that I get to tell you guys that I was accepted into ComicCon Africa. I actually shed a few tears with how happy they were with the story, and I can't wait to do the next round of edits so that we can get this baby printed and available for all of you! The Week That Was

Hello Nightmares!It has been an absolutely FANTASTIC week in the writing world. This week I managed to get out 15 000 words of The Culling, my new story that will be coming out soon, and I only have 4000 words to go before I can begin the editing process! The chapters are being sent to the Beta Team this week for checking - I'm really nervous because I feel this book is a LOT different from my previous ones, but that's good right? If you're wanting a sneak peak here is this weeks Teaser!Aside from working hard on bringing you only the best stories, I have also been hard at work making swag! Well next month (April) the Alternative Authors stall will be hanging out with Alter Ego Events again for their Discworld Fayre. Unfortunately I won't be able to be there in person for this one as I am at a wedding, but there will be signed copies of all my available work on my table and my #AuthorBestie Toni Cox will be there to assist as well as the lovely Franki Jean! What am I reading?This week I am reading a book by Kelan Gerriety called Crimson Skies! I'm so super excited to be reading it as Kelan is an amazing person in general and from what I have seen so far in her book, she is a very talented author so watch out for my review and the links to where you can get her work! Birthdays, Fundays and Bookdays

Happy Sunday Nightmares! This has been one hell of a two weeks! That's right! It's been two weeks since my last post! Can you believe it!!!Where was I? Well I personally thought I was dying but it turned out I just had Listeriosis, nothing major.... NOT! I was MAN down and I really thought that this was it, this was how I was going to die. I didn't die, but unfortunately I also couldn't do much else because it sapped all the strength from me. Luckily I have survived and am bouncing back bigger and better, mostly better.That aside, the last two weeks have been rather awesome. First and foremost I had my 30th Birthday on the 15th March! And what a birthday it was! It was such an amazing day for me because not only was I spoiled with AMAZING gifts but with a LOT OF LOVE!!! I was spoiled by everyone in my life from my #AuthorBestie Toni, to my sister across the water, to my friends at work and my friends at home. It was a great day all around.The best part? I got to have a very Harry Potter Birthday - with proper acceptance letter invites, a wand choosing, a sorting, a Quidditch tournament (Although I did only come second) and potions classes. We also visited Honeydukes and a lot of people passed their N*E*W*T*S. It was a fun day all around and I enjoyed being Head Girl, and a Slytherin Prefect.As I said, I have to grow old, I do not HAVE TO grow up! Aside from getting amazing gifts for my birthday, I also got to hang with my other #AuthorBestie Jo-Anne Joseph! I had ordered a set of her books and was MOST excited to receive them. I have already read Siren which was an AMAZING read and am excited to read Jo's other two books!!!!I'm still busy with The Culling and am hoping to have it out soon for everyone to enjoy. The next big event coming up is Discworld Day on the 28th April 2018.I am hoping to have signed copies of The Culling available at our stall even though I won't be there as I have a wedding.
