About Time: The First Teaser

Guys! It’s ABOUT TIME I released another book, right? (← See what I did there? No? Click on the link . . .) Well, it’s happening on April 25, 2018. And here’s what you need to know:

Title: About Time (The One #1). It’s a standalone contemporary romance, set in the same world as my other books, so a couple of familiar faces *might* show up.

Characters: Ashton & . . . I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you. (To the FBI agent who monitors me: I’m only kidding. I won’t kill them. But I will sneak into their house and dog-ear all their books). Here’s what you need to know about him: He’s her brother’s best friend—and not the father of her baby. Yeah, she’s pregnant. *gasps*

Who is Ashton Andrews? If you’ve read A Little Bit Crazy and/or A Crazy Christmas, you might remember her. She’s the new bartender at Brighton & Jade’s favorite bar, The Avenue. And if you want to know what she looks like, you can scope out my Pinterest Board for About Time, which I just updated this morning!

What’s it about? Oh, well . . . It’s about a couple of 30-somethings who know that life is too short for the one that got away and to not go after what they want. But if you want to know more, here’s the official blurb:

It’s all about timing . . .

Ten years. That’s how long Ashton Andrews spent wondering if she would ever have the family she craved, with a man who was apparently not the one.

Six weeks. Time spent patiently waiting, silently hoping and endlessly wondering if the decision she’d made to go it alone was the right one.

Nine months. Morning sickness, cravings and that constant need to pee are what Ashton has to look forward to, knowing that numbered are her days of being just one.

Fifteen years, eight days. An eternity ago were those unforgettable moments spent crushing on her brother’s best friend, yet her mind constantly turns to him—the one who got away.

The one who might yet be her one.

It’s probably about time she found out . . .

And that about covers it. Except for one thing . . . The first teaser for About Time, which I hope you love—or at least, I hope piques your interest!

Jackson:

I was nervous, and I never got nervous. At least not when it came to girls. Especially not with girls who were heartbroken and on the rebound. They were the easy ones to get into bed, all vulnerable and shit. But she was different.

Ryan Patterson.

My best friend’s girl… except she wasn’t. Not now at least. He’d gone and screwed that up for himself by ditching her on her birthday. Honestly, if I had to guess, there was more to the story than Devlin was telling. I wanted to find out what Ryan supposedly “knew,” but Devlin had to save face. He wouldn’t ever own up to his indiscretions.

Devlin was the son of the wealthiest family on the East Coast. The Prince of Cali. And apparently asshole extraordinaire. He clearly didn’t get the memo that the role for asshole had been already taken by his best friend, who resided in New York.

I wasn’t being hard on myself either. I also wasn’t being self-deprecating. I was an ass. I knew it, and I didn’t care—not really. My dad was the king of jerkoffs, and I had learned from the best at a young age. I watched as he cheated his way to the top… of business and women. He hurt mom emotionally while he hurt me physically. Golden boy of the East Coast, abusive husband and father: Benjamin Bennett.

While good ol’ dad had set me up for failure in the relationship department, I still didn’t like when men treated women like trash. Okay, so I didn’t always treat them like princesses, but at least they knew that going into whatever it was we did. Usually they were one night hook ups that ended in me calling them a cab. But they always agreed. I was all about women being able to take a hold of their sexuality and use it in any way they wanted. If I could have meaningless sex, why couldn’t they?

But I wasn’t about to have sex with Ryan. No, I was on my way to a fancy restaurant to go on the first date I had been on in years. I should have felt nervous over what Devlin would do to me if he ever found out about this date, but of course I didn’t care.

I was too interested. Too mesmerized by Ryan and the way she didn’t give a shit about who I was. Too idiotic to think about the fact I was risking my future business with Devlin over a date.

But maybe she didn’t see this as a date? Maybe she saw it as a dinner her ex’s best friend that was forced upon her?

When I really got to thinking about it, the more I realized that this was not a date. Fuck that. I didn’t date. I messed around and never got into the emotional shit.

I didn’t have time for emotional shit. Especially complicated emotional shit. Because complicated was exactly what Ryan and I would be. No, I didn’t have time. I would give the poor girl her lunch, and bow out. She’d think I was a gentleman, and maybe it would ease the blow of their breakup or something. Things would end before they began—completely uncomplicated.

But I couldn’t help but to think… what a beautiful complication Ryan Patterson would be.

Release Day Blitz: Indiscretions of a God

Isn’t it fucking insane that I can’t get her out of my head?
Title: Indiscretions of a God

Series: Porn Star Boyfriends #3

Author: Sunniva Dee

Release Date: January 16, 2018
[image error]

I’m not a saint. That’s not why I left the mafia.

I left because I’m god, because I need no one, and fail at nothing.

I’m Isaias Di Nascimbeni, owner of Lucid, the biggest adult entertainment studio in L.A. Son of Il Lince and second generation Italian in the U.S, I’m dirty rich and adored by highlife as well as lowlife.

Whatever I focus on turns to gold.

On the Richter’s scale of eye candy, I’m a twenty.

I’m a hunter who tests limits.

A warrior who goes shady when the law becomes dreary.

While conducting business at the St. Tatiana,

the most stunning woman I’ve ever seen enters my radar.

Isn’t it interesting that her name is Tatiana?

Isn’t it bizarre that she’s a nun?

Isn’t it wild that she’s unimpressed by me?

Isn’t it fucking insane that I can’t get her out of my head?

She doesn’t acknowledge me when I return to her church.

It’s unprecedented. Unheard of. Not happening.

But the hunt is my fetish.

Novice or not, she’s only postponing the inevitable.

Beautiful Tatiana asked for this.

By the time I’m done, she’ll worship me, because now it’s game on.

A no-cliffhanger, standalone book #3 in the Porn Star Boyfriend series.

“Isaias.” Tatiana’s fingers brush down my temple and my cheek to my mouth. “I need to leave for about an hour. I didn’t want you to worry.”

I blink off my sleep. I’m on the couch in the living room, waiting for my phone to ring with news about Gabriela.

“I can’t let you leave, baby.” I arch my head backward, following the sound of her voice. Her pretty face hovers over me from behind. I reach up, pull her down to me. She sinks to her knees and cradles my face with her hands.

Tatiana allows me to devour her mouth. My tongue delves in, swiping and suckling her into a moan. It’s heart-battering. I breathe faster, and then her exhales become shallow too. I love that sound.

“It’s not safe out there for you.” I lace my fingers into her hair, extending it around our faces. We’re in a tent of silk and warm sugar. “I’d never hold you back if it weren’t for your safety. Because you need to live on. On and on and on with that crazy beauty you are.”

She puffs a quiet laugh against me. “Weirdo.”

“I want you,” I sigh out.

“Tonight, darling. I just need to do this, okay?”

I still her face over me. Nudge it away enough to stare into her eyes. “I’ll come with you.”

“You can’t. It’s nun business.”

“You still think of nuns?”

“My business with the sisterhood doesn’t simply disappear because of an explosion in a church,” she whispers to me.

“Let me at least drive you there.”

I shut my eyes while her soft fingers draw trails down my cheeks. In my adult life, I’ve been touched often and in many ways, but Tatiana’s caresses remain on my skin long after they’re gone.

“Isaias, I’m twenty-seven years old. I’ve been fending for myself for a long time. I’ll be fine, okay?”

I scrunch my eyes shut, knowing I won’t be forcing myself on this stubborn, beautiful, independent woman tonight.

“I’ll be honest with you. I can’t bear the thought of you and Gabriela both out there without my protection.” I pull her down so I can kiss the infinitely soft skin of her throat. “Just let me drive you there. I won’t come in. I’ll, you know, play with my phone and listen to music like some dopy-ass high-school boyfriend until you come out.”

I grew up surrounded by women. I grew up surrounded by macho men too, but they all knew when to yield to their women. It’s why my father’s heart still beats for my mother. It’s why hers stutters every time he’s in danger.

So I let Tatiana go. I stand there on the gravel, hands fisted in my pockets like a douche. At least she accepted my offer of taking the Escalade with the bulletproof windows. She better get used to that, because she’s with Isaias di Nascimbeni. From now on, I’ll make damn sure she never drives anything that can’t repel the bullets of my father’s enemies.

“Fritz,” I shout as soon as she rolls toward the highway. “Get in.”

“Uhm?”

I walk up to him and point toward another loaner. It’s a joke of a car. Small and grey, it’s unassuming enough to blend in anywhere. I chuck him the key.

“I hold you personally responsible for Tatiana’s wellbeing until she’s back in my arms. Understood?”

“Absolutely, sir. It’s an honor.”

I pitch him my Glock too, and I don’t fucking care how unprecedented that is. He grabs it on reflex, gaze humbled as it meets mine. “Mr. Nascimbeni. I’ve got it. I have my sub.”

I stare him down, willing him to tell me it’ll be enough. Because is it? His stare dims with determination. Then he tosses my gun back. I watch it swirl in the air and find my palm in seconds.

“You’re sure?” My voice doesn’t sound right.

“I am.”

I squint, forcing liquid away from my eyes.

“I will get your woman back to you.”

Ah.

Excerpt

“I’m going to enjoy this,” he told Brighton as she took one, two, three steps backwards toward the bed they shared every night. “But explain to me why you’re not naked like I asked?”

Brighton licked her lips, her eyes never leaving his body as he moved closer and closer to her, a sure sign that she was nervous.

“Well?” He took one final step, aligning their bodies so that he could feel the silky material of her negligee on his bare chest. He’d ripped his own shirt off as he’d entered the house, determined to have his wife once—hard and fast—so that he could enjoy her slower a little later on.

She was, after all, a woman to be enjoyed.

She shrugged, batting eyelashes at him like she thought he was susceptible to fluttering lids and mesmerizing green eyes. When he simply raised his eyebrows in a “well?” expression, she joined her hands with his and squeezed, offering a small smile that brought all of Sebastian’s plans to a screaming halt.

Something was wrong.

And he was going to find out exactly what it was.

“Brighton, I wanna know.” He tried to be gentle, but the words came out demanding. Shit. “I’m sorry. Please?”

“Just . . . well, you know.” Her eyes cast downward as she dropped one of his hands in favor of resting it on her still slightly-rounded belly. “I know you say you don’t care—”

“I don’t care. I’m not saying it. I mean it.” He felt the frown that skittered across his face before he worked to smooth it out. He didn’t want her to think he was angry at her, but he also didn’t want her thinking that she was anything less than perfect.

“I know. I just feel—I mean, it was strange getting naked without you here.” Using the hand that was still joined with his, Brighton pulled him even closer. Nothing, not even the smallest sliver of air, was between them but for the material of her cream-colored nightgown. “I like it when you undress me.”

Sebastian nodded and lowered his head so he could kiss her.

It started slow. They pressed and licked and stroked, the heat ratcheting up with every movement, and it wasn’t long before Brighton began to express her impatience.

There, that’s what I want, Sebastian thought, my wife needing me so badly, she forgets to worry.

He wasted no time in making sure she got what she needed from him. He let go of her hand, using both of his own to grip the hem of her negligee and begin the slow slide of silk up her body as she whimpered into their kiss, then moaned when he broke it to draw the material over her head.

Perfect. Her body was perfect. Soft and curved in all the right places and absolutely made for him to worship, which he didn’t hesitate in sharing with her. “I could touch this body every minute of every day, and it wouldn’t be enough.”

In hopes that Wes and Erin would soon find their way there;

The men were stressing over last minute shopping lists and plans,

While the ladies were busy with work and nesting and finding the right paella pans;

When out in the dining room there arose such a clatter,

The Halsted dogs sprang from their beds to see what was the matter;

They whistled and shouted and called each other names,

While the secrets and announcements and surprises quickly came;

So onto another adventure they flew

With the sleigh full of Walshes, and the Commodore too—

As they continued arguing and clamoring around,

Down the road an unexpected visitor came with a bound;

But it wasn’t long until couples were all nestled snug in their beds,

With new memories of steamy holiday nights dancing in their heads.

Author Bio

Kate Canterbary doesn’t have it all figured out, but this is what she knows for sure: spicy-ass salsa and tequila solve most problems, living on the ocean–Pacific or Atlantic–is the closest place to perfection, and writing smart, smutty stories is a better than any amount of chocolate. She started out reporting for an indie arts and entertainment newspaper back when people still read newspapers, and she has been writing and surreptitiously interviewing people—be careful sitting down next to her on an airplane—ever since.

Kate lives on the water in New England with Mr. Canterbary and the Little Baby Canterbary, and when she isn’t writing sexy architects, she’s scheduling her days around the region’s best food trucks.
