The Guest in Room 120
Dear Friends,
This new book of mine is such a special project and I can't wait for you to read it! I came upon the idea when I was researching old & haunted hotels in Hawai’i a few years back. When I learned of the mystery surrounding Jane Stanford (cofounder of Stanford University) at the Moana Hotel in 1905, I was astounded. Especially because I grew up going to the beach & surfing in front of the Moana and had never even heard this tragic but fascinating story.
The Guest in Room 120 unfolds across two eras—1905 and 2005 Waikīkī—following a modern day author attending a writers’ conference at the Moana Hotel, a young hotel maid in 1905 who stumbles upon a shocking find, and a century-old secret waiting to be uncovered.
With a hint of the supernatural and a touch of romance, this novel delivers intrigue and atmosphere in equal measure. Booklist calls it “an enthralling read.”
I hope you enjoy the adventure!
Warmest aloha,
Sara
