We All Sing Special Songs for Each Other

I almost seem to have a different dialect I use to speak to each person I'm close to -- different jokes, different subjects, even words and cadences all unique.

I’m Someone Who Learns to Like Things I Start Out Hating

I can still remember the first time I tasted cilantro. It was in this tiny Vietnamese restaurant in California, having traveled there from Maine for a prestigious musical competition. When It Comes to My Own Pain, I Count Via Cat Math

"You're doing an awful lot for other people. I want to make sure you're getting something out of it. The last thing I want to do is see you burn out," I say.

"The same for you," she says.

"Oh, don't worry about me," I reply. "I don't count. I'm not a person."
