Water Your Dreams With Love 🌸

Dreams take some time to come to fruition, in the meantime water them with hopefulness, loving images, confidence and hold the intention that they will come about, and they will.

Attention is energy. Where your attention flows energy goes, so its best not to send energy to a situation that you hate or you will make it grow. Instead pay attention to what you love and it will grow in size commensurately.
We are little pieces of God, we can create and un-create whatever we want. We just need to learn how.

Six On Saturday – The Miracle Of Roses ⚘🌸

This week I have been thinking a lot about the roses in my garden. They see to have got over the hump of an endless summer where every day was 30 degrees for months. It was a bit relentless as we had a record breaking year with no rain for months here in South Australia. The lowest rain year on record! Oh goody gumdropos! Curstesy of a rather enthusiastic El Nino season, the gift that keeps on giving!

Consequently I have spent my time going around with sprinklers and hoses keeping things alive! A little more than usual. The native plants don’t seem bothered by it one little bit and keep on flowering and putting on new growth. They are obviously well adapted to these drier moments.

The Mediterranean garden plants that are in the hoses reach seem to have survived and thrived. But the rosemary’s outside my house regime in the far reaches of old garden areas don’t look too good. We’ve had some rain this month thank God and the farmers have started dry-seeding their wheat and barley paddocks with last year’s seed. On a wing and a prayer!

The roses have really come out on top in the gardens I more tightly watered, around the house. The ones in the outer garden are still alive but have little leaves because hungry rabbit’s and kangaroos have eaten their leaves. They don’t usually bother to eat ny roses but have done so in desperation. I have had to put ugly tree guards and upturned black plastic pots and even carrot bags over the roses, to give them some respite from the chewing!

I planted up some annual plants in pots on the front verandah to give myself flowers regardless, and these pots cheered me up and kept the insects in nectar. I had to give up the veggie garden this summer and let it go fallow till winter. I planted up a few verandah pots with lettuce instead.

The roses, as long as they are wavered keep on flowering in this kind of season and don’t really mind. Their autumn blooms have been larger, in a slower and cooler moment now autumn is here. The foliage in the deciduous trees is turning nicer colours than usual, as they didn’t get blown off in the normal rain weather fronts. So another gift of a dry autumn, is reasonable deciduous tree colour.

People have kept on gardening to cheer themselves up! Keen gardeners keep on going regardless! They just get fitter watering everything! I still went and bought roses at a well known roses nursery for my Birthday treat!

Oddly enough, our state doesn’t have water restrictions as 15 years ago in previous droughts they built a desalination plant for the state’s water. This makes and endless supply of water processed from sea water, very clever really! The our supply is topped up by the Murray River, this has good flows because Queensland got our water fronts and is very very very wet! So the rivers coming from Queensland and New South Wales are full and almost flooding!

Lovely Delightful rose really does look like the child of Baronne E D Rothschild. I love a rose with a different colour petal reverse. A new Birthday rose. ⚘ Plus the very reliable summer plant the Feverfew. I had to visit my new plant of Crimson Glory every day to sup on his exquisite scent. A mixture of Damask and old rose sent, that even put other scented roses to the back of the sniff list!⚘The garden still has colour in the areas that get a weekly water. Here we have the yellow Cineraria saxifraga groundcover, pelargoniums,  Iceberg and Orangerie roses.

Our big ginger kitten loves to stalk the other girls to copy them, in a little copy cat move.  Two pelargoniums in the back garden have flowered with enthusiasm. An Ivy leaf and a colourful Zonal.I love a blue rose! My new Climbing Angel Face rose, definitely has a touch of the blues. The Kordes rose Heaven on Earth is a very good repeater. Sunny Apricot loveliness here with the pretty icy blue Plumbago, another summer star.
