NEW RELEASE - Her for the Holidays

Newly widowed during the age of COVID, Felicia gave up a good job and took a significant pay cut to be able to work from home - and, more importantly, transition in private. Without the pressure of having to face friends and colleagues every day, quarantine was supposed to be her opportunity to embrace her transition.

When a surprise return to the office is announced, she's not ready. With her legal paperwork and name change still pending, she's stuck living a lie that she promised herself was forever behind her. There's only one woman at the office she hopes to impress, a friend to whom she hoped to one day come out, a misunderstanding makes a bad situation already worse.

Can she fix things? Can she turn the holidays around? Can she rescue a friendship and, just maybe, find romance? With the help of a surfing Santa, all things are possible.

'Her for the Holidays' a sweet transgender romance about coming out, falling in love, and celebrating the season.

Announcement: Social Transitioning

This summer has been an interesting one. My Goddess and I are communicating better and being more open and honest about our needs and desires. We've come to a better understanding of who we are to one another, and there's been a clearer definition of my role in our relationship.

All of this has allowed me to be comfortable in the fluidity of my identity, and confident that I don't need to hold anything back, change who I am, or feel pressured to play an uncomfortable role. I'm feeling accepted in ways I never have before, and I'm happier than I've never been in my life.

After spending a lifetime questioning where I fit on the gender spectrum, I've very openly declared myself to be genderfluid/nonbinary, and I've begun sharing that with a wider circle of friends, family, and acquaintances, even as I break down the walls between my social profiles.

So, what does that mean for anybody reading this? I'm not changing - I'm still Sally, still submissive, and still a kinky romantic at heart - but my social presence will be. I'll still be maintaining a significant presence here, so please don't worry, but I'll also expanding my blended presence elsewhere.

Bending the Bookshelf (Blog, Twitter, Facebook, Goodreads, Instagram) will continue to be home to my writing, editing services, TG captions, Freebie Fetish Friday, comic reviews, author features, fetish news, and so on. This has always been my 'Sally' home, and I've made so many great friends and connections that it was important for me to adjust, rather than abandon.

Beauty in Ruins (BlogTwitterFacebookGoodreadsInstagram) will now be home to all of my book reviews, which is good news for authors and readers because it means those books and authors will be exposed to a wider audience. After maintaining separate  'Bob and 'Sally' social profiles for a dozen years, it's wonderful to break down the walls and just be me - all of me.

You'll find 'me' in both places, and you'll see a lot of sharing between the two, so please be sure to friend/follow both profiles to ensure you don't miss anything.

Finally, on a personal note, if you're in Southern Ontario and looking for a trans/nonbinary submissive to dominate, dress up with, join for a hike or bike ride, or invite to something kinky or geeky, send me a message on any of those profiles. After years of silent dreaming and longing, I am free (and eager) to play!

It's a Whole New FemWorld: The Complete Series by M.C. Questgend (scifi femdom feminization)

If you have been waiting to indulge in the post-apocalyptic gender-bending It's a Whole New FemWorld saga, then now is your chance! It's a Whole New FemWorld: The Complete Series is now available, clocking in at 300+ pages and 88k words, collecting the entire saga with an exclusive bonus story, The Offspring not available anywhere else.
This may just be one of my favorite stories M.C. Questgend has ever written, a low-tech, far-future science fiction epic about a world divided by the sexes, with women-led cities served by submissive sissies, leaving rebellious male soldiers scattered across the post-apocalyptic landscape.
The series is comprised of equal parts fetish, fantasy, drama, and thrills, never quite going where you might expect, and offering up as many chilling twists as exciting revelations. It is just an altogether wonderful story, full of history, detailed world building, strong characters, sexual energy, and a sissy-flavored feminist theme of empowerment and freedom.
I could write an entire novel about this series, but let me just touch upon a few highlights of each installment:
It's a Whole New FemWorld is a super introduction and a wonderfully deceptive tale that leads the reader to expect something happy and sexy before taking a very dark turn into betrayal The Safe House is a chapter that stands out from the rest for two key reasons - one, the character of Kevin, though whom the story explores questions of gender identity and sexuality; and two, the layers of mystery within the tale, including the brilliant twist at the end Reinor's Revenge  is a sexy, smart, dark, and decadent chapter that explores the slippery slope of extremist politics with a scenario that is either nightmare or fetish fuel, depending on your perspective A Quest for Balance is my contribution to the saga, a story in which I explored the journey and transition of two misfit soldiers, and played with some gender-bending possibilities for peace Starting Over is a powerful story that steps away from the war itself to explore the legacy of hatred and fear left behind, finding happiness in the most unexpected places Hiding the Truth takes that post-war theme one step further with a poignant, bittersweet tale that really surprised me with the emotions it stirred up The Offspring wraps up the saga by exploring a new post-war generation, picking up the threads of my gender-bending mutation in a way that I just adored, and painting a beautiful contrast between the transforming punishment of sex and transformational pleasure of love.
The beauty of It's a Whole New FemWorld: The Complete Series is that we get to witness triumphs and tragedies, small victories and even bigger defeats, sometimes with characters who rise above the cruelties of war, and other times with those forced to surrender themselves to the moment. I love this world so much and am forever grateful to M.C. Questgend for allowing me to be a small part of it.
Born in 1971, M.C. Questgend traveled the country with his parents as a military brat. Settling in Texas where he was first introduced to alternative lifestyles, he was able to finish high school and continue his new "hobby" in college. After college, he and "she" returned to start a family, but the strain of his "secret" was too much for his now ex-wife. Married a second time was not the answer, so M.C. has transferred the stress to the pen and keyboard. Writing erotic stories - some loosely based on his and "her" life as well as stories involving aspects of the LGBT community, a community and lifestyle he has come to privately embrace. M.C. Questgend is a pen name used to protect his privacy and anonymity. The intent was to write stories that entertain, inspire and motivate - which are as much sensual and heartwarming as they are sexual and explicit.

NOW AVAILABLE: It's a Whole New FemWorld: A Quest For Balance

An exciting new release this week, a new erotic sci-fi tale in which M.C. Questgend kindly invited me to play in her world, collaborating on a tale of two sissies on a quest!
It's a Whole New FemWorld: A Quest For Balance by Sally Bend & M.C. Questgend
Another standalone story based on the “It’s a Whole New FemWorld” universe created by M.C. Questgend.
The war between the sexes has gone badly for men, especially those living outside the cities. Without the emotional balance and guiding hand of women, the rebel camps have become a dark, violent places where only the fittest survive and the meanest thrive.
A Quest for Balance is the story of two misfit soldiers - bullied, abused, and driven into the arms of the very women they’re supposed to be fighting against. In their training as submissive sissies they will find their purpose and friendship. Entrusted with a mission to retrieve evidence of a medical miracle, one that could rewrite everything we know about gender, they will discover that together they really can change the world . . . if only the women back home will let them.© 2019 Bending the Bookshelf All Rights Reserved

TGCaption - Sit and Scream (magic transformation)

TG Captions are one of my favorite forms of storytelling. There is no narrative fluff, no extraneous details, just the hook, the twist, and the climax.

This started out as a simple bench caption for Dee, playing with the quarantine, but then the protests snuck in there, I began playing with the authoritarian theme, and . . . well, it's more political than I imagined but I like it.© 2019 Bending the Bookshelf All Rights Reserved

TGCaption - The Price of Pleasure (magic transformation)

TG Captions are one of my favorite forms of storytelling. There is no narrative fluff, no extraneous details, just the hook, the twist, and the climax.

Just a fun, fluffy bit of wish fulfillment today. I struggled a bit to think what kind of men's clothing would make Kim feel sexy, since I never wanted to wear it ever when I had to, but this makes me smile from beginning to end.© 2019 Bending the Bookshelf All Rights Reserved

TGCaption - Pride Prayers & Panties (transgender coming-out exotic-dancer)

TG Captions are one of my favorite forms of storytelling. There is no narrative fluff, no extraneous details, just the hook, the twist, and the climax.

I started writing this for a transgender dancer coming out and celebrating herself, with the chains and cuffs adding a touch of fetish to her act, but at some point the prayer pose and angel wings began calling to me. I jumped ahead to write the ending, and then had to weave me way into it.© 2019 Bending the Bookshelf All Rights Reserved

TGCaption - The Bentford Wives (genderswap breeding mindcontrol)

TG Captions are one of my favorite forms of storytelling. There is no narrative fluff, no extraneous details, just the hook, the twist, and the climax.

A special caption today for all the mothers out there (and those of us who wish we could join them). I knew exactly what this story was and how it would play out, I just needed to find the right image to go with it. I loved the staging of pregnant women here, and the pastel colors of the identical tops just scream pretty, pliant, placid conformity.
Clearly, there's more to Bentford than I can capture in one caption, but I do have plans to expand on it for Father's Day, so be sure to check back then. ;)© 2019 Bending the Bookshelf All Rights Reserved

TGCaption - Auntie's Boys (futa feminization)

TG Captions are one of my favorite forms of storytelling. There is no narrative fluff, no extraneous details, just the hook, the twist, and the climax.

A cheeky bit of fun this week. I saw something of the boy in their faces, and some ambiguity in their smiles, and that made me wonder who was taking the photo and why.
When I was young, I always looked to my Auntie as the fun one, the wild one, and I thought about introducing her to Sally on more than one occasion, dreaming she would embrace me, take me in, and raise me as her second daughter. I never found the courage to do so, though, which turned out for the best. As I grew older, and I saw more clearly, I realized close-minded hatred runs in both her and my mother.
Ironically, though, my beloved's Auntie has met Sally on a number of occasions, even dancing with me at trashy bars, and she has been wonderfully accepting. It is a little late for adoption, but not so late that I cannot shift the fantasy.© 2019 Bending the Bookshelf All Rights Reserved

TGCaption - Bimbo Nurse (feminization bimbofication)

TG Captions are one of my favorite forms of storytelling. There is no narrative fluff, no extraneous details, just the hook, the twist, and the climax.

I promised Dee a hospital-themed caption this week, but all I could find was sexy nurses, so I had to find a way to sort of flip the conversation, to put her off-screen but still make her transformation clear.
It ended up a little dark and edgy, definitely tricky and kind of sinister . . . but all with the empty-headed promise of a happy future. I struggled to give her one last cute line, but it felt too neat, too tidy, so I just left it with that veiled threat (or happy promise - you choose) that this is forever...© 2019 Bending the Bookshelf All Rights Reserved
