Holly Daze: An Erotic Transgender Romance (#sissy #shemale #bdsm #erotica #romance)
Just in time for the holidays, my erotic "sissy meets shemale" holiday BDSM romance is now available!
When a Christmas confrontation at the office threatens everything, a surprise confession leads to long sought-after submission.
And a very different kind of peace and joy.
“I’m a submissive sissy and I . . . well, I am in love with a shemale.”
They were the hardest words he had ever had to say, but it is the declaration that frees Roger from the artificial bounds of polite society, propelling him into the loving bonds of his new Mistress. Together, they will escape the season's trappings, heading off on a romantic vacation where they will unwrap the love (and the lust) they feel for one another, far from the judgment of their peers.
Holly Daze is an erotic transgender romance. Like the couple at its heart, it is a story that is equal parts sweet and sexy, as well as cute and kinky. Settle in for the season and unwrap 14,000 words of sissy submission and shemale domination. For adult readers only.
The holiday season (and winter in general) is difficult for me, so writing Holly Daze was part therapy, and part wish-fulfillment. I love how it turned out, and think it's my most sex-positive, gender-positive story yet. Hopefully it will bring you some holiday joy as well!
Holly Daze is now available at Amazon and Smashwords.© 2018 Bending the Bookshelf All Rights Reserved

Femdom & Futa Erotica - Audiobook Editions!
Some very exciting news this week!
I recently signed a contract with Wordwooze Publishing to produce audiobook editions of a few of my short stories, and the first two went live this week!
Sissy Rachel Earns Her Collar
http://amzn.to/2jSJ9PN
While it is not a true story, it does draw heavily upon my own experiences, and Rachel is someone with whom I identify a great deal.
A Queer Sort of Queen
http://amzn.to/2krgLYX
This one was a lot of fun to write, one of those stories that just carried me away, demanding a completely different tone and emotion than I had originally envisioned.
I have a few free Audible.com coupons for anybody who fancies giving them a listen, and who is willing to give them a review. Just send me a message.

Every post opens with a question (a blogging prompt, if you will), and this month's is:
Win or not, do you usually finish your NaNo project? Have any of them gone on to be published?
I will be honest, I have never done the NaNo thing. I have thought about it, but I would have to put blogging, reading, reviewing, and networking all on hold to really do it right. As enticing as some of that may sound, it is not just realistic.
Having said that, I do find that I write best under a deadline, which is probably why October was such a good month for me. Since I was compiling and editing Miss-Taken Identities, I could hardly be late with that and still chase others with a clear conscience; Alpha Transformation emerged from the pile of abandoned stories because I wanted something dark for the season, and it became twinned with Alpha Surrender when I found an underlying theme that really excited me; and Gender Swapped by the Haunted Brothel came about because I really wanted a proper Halloween story out the the holiday.
My new deadline is an arbitrary one, but I have been talking to a good friend about it, and I am finally ready to tackle that final rewrite of my paranormal romance novel. It is a big, ambitious, almost daunting project, but I love the story so much, and I finally feel prepared to do it justice.© 2018 Bending the Bookshelf All Rights Reserved

Announcing Alpha Surrender & Alpha Transformation
It had been fifty years since the bridge had last represented anything meaningful. Fifty years since the city on the other side had been targeted by the Church for refusing to join in the new faith, and for refusing to denounce all those who believed otherwise. It was meant to be the start of a war to end all wars, a final strike against the forces of pagan terrorism, but the Church has instead become a terrorist state of its own, cut off from the rest of the world, and banished to suffer under its own darkness.
There was no line between the twin cities, just a wandering edge of airborne debris. It was a buffer of eternal gloom that separated their countries, a land tainted by the poisons of the failed holy crusade. Disease and pestilence ran rampant among those sinners cast out and neglected by the Church Communal States, while legend and myth were said to lurk in defense of Pagan Provinces.
Neither Alexander nor Stephen had ever really bought into the mythology of the north - not like their spouses did - but it was the only hope they had left. The bridge had been one of the first things to fall during the abbreviated war, collapsed not by the Church, but by the Beast - or so it was said - to keep them on their own side of the chasm. With their loves dying, Stephen and Alexander must each risk his own life in crossing that barrier in search of the Beast, to whom he must perform the ultimate surrender if he is to obtain the cure.
One of the most dangerous questions a writer can ask of themselves is "what if?" but that is precisely what gave rise to the twin novellas, Alpha Surrender and Alpha Transformation.
I won’t tell you which came first - I will leave that up to you to ponder, should you choose to give both stories a read. What I will tell you is that, gender differences aside, they remain the same story at heart, with the same theme of an Alpha male surrendering his sense of self in an intimate act of pure, heartfelt love.
To be honest, I’m not sure which story I prefer. Alpha Transformation is the kind of story that most readers would expect of me, with an Alpha male’s love for his transsexual wife leading to an act of surrender that will change them both. This one features futa-on-male domination and some creative gender bending.
Alpha Surrender is a story I am just as excited about, with an Alpha male’s love for his husband leading to an act of surrender that will change their future together. This one features male-on-male domination and some inventive scenes of erotic submission.
Writing them in parallel made both stories stronger, and I think - I hope - the experience has made me a better writer. I hope you enjoy.
Alpha Surrender is a post-apocalyptic m/m story of erotic love and submission. It is available as a stand-alone purchase from Smashwords.
Alpha Transformation is a post-apocalyptic TG story of erotic love and submission. It is available as a stand-alone purchase Smashwords.
Both titles are available as a bundled edition from Amazon.

Insecure Writer’s Support Group (Oct)

Every post opens with a question (a blogging prompt, if you will), and this month's is:
Have you ever slipped any of your personal information into your characters, either by accident or on purpose?
Well, duh! Seriously, we all know you cannot take characters at face value and just assume that they speak for the author. We write heroes and villains for a reason, and there would be no conflict, no tension, if every character was just a copy of the author. That said, every author puts a little of themselves into their work. It is that personal element that creates and connection and gives the story life. It is the difference between a dry, scholarly essay and a warm, personal story.
I write about what matters to me. I write about my hopes and my fears, my fantasies and my nightmares. I have never written a character who was 100% me (I am not that interesting), but there is a little bit of me in every one of my main characters. In fact, it often happens without me even realizing it, with little details surprising me on the third or fourth re-read.
People laugh at me when I tell them this, but the urban fantasy/paranormal romance novel I am polishing right now went through two complete drafts before the heroine 'told' me she was transgender in the final scene. Honestly, I never intended to write her that way, but once I realized it, I was able to look back and see all the clues I had subconsciously planted.© 2018 Bending the Bookshelf All Rights Reserved

Every post opens with a question (a blogging prompt, if you will), and this month's is: Have you ever surprised yourself with your writing? (For example, by trying a new genre you didn't think you'd be comfortable in?)
As it so happens, I am in the midst of surprising myself right now, adapting an old horror story into a much darker, much more edgy erotic horror story. It is something I do not think I would have had the nerve to try were it not for all the positive feedback I have received this year, but I have been pleasantly surprised by how well it worked out.
The story has a far better ending, owing to the addition of the erotic elements, and there is a complete character arc now as well. I was never quite happy with the way she ended things in the original horror draft, but this feels . . . well, it just feels right. One last round of editing and it should be good to go.© 2018 Bending the Bookshelf All Rights Reserved
