I've really been focusing my reading on Buddhism lately as it's really the root of the philosophy I teach in my book, "Do a Day", so I think I would choose to go back to the days of Buddha and learn from him directly. When you write from what you know, the thoughts come out freely. I believe in writing this way - share what you believe, and worry about editing after getting the words out.

Write what you feel. Feelings don't have writer's block, so neither will your words if you write from your feelings.(less)

Some Thoughts on Alcohol From The Editing Room Floor

When I was writing my book, Do a Day, I had written a fairly long and, let’s just say, impassioned section on drinking alcohol. It was a bit of an aside that took the chapter down a path of less coherence and strength, and my editor rightly suggested taking it out.
