Poetry Review: You Might Feel This (2021)

You Might Feel This by William Thomas Brumley

The words to say cannot be found
They have been locked away

I was so excited to get my hands on this collection of poetry that I devoured it in one sitting! Hard to pick a favourite poem honestly!

For those who like poetry, or share a love of Emily Dickinson, definitely give this one a go!

Currently Reading: Dim Stars by Brian P. Rubin

Dim Stars on Goodreads

You know those books that are so awesome that you want to full commit your attention to them, only you can’t because you’re fucking busy and you never have time to sit down and soak up the universe the author has created? Yes, this is exactly the sort of conundrum I’m having with Dim Stars. It’s so freaking cool and cute and interesting and I’m loving it so far, but I haven’t had time to properly sink my teeth into it yet because, as I’m prone to do, I don’t like pi...

1.      Paperback, hardback, audiobook?

Definitely paperback for me! Both as a reader, and a writer.

2.      Pick a genre, any genre!

Horror!

3.      What is the first book you remember reading?

That’s so tough. I can’t remember that far back! “The Monster at The End of this Book”, I think. Starring Grover!

4.      What book shaped your childhood most?

Being a shy kid, I preferred to stay in and read, and re...

Paperback.
Pick a genre, any genre!
Fantasy!
What is the first book you remember reading?
I think it might have been Bridge to Terabithia.
What book shaped your childhood most?
I wasn’t much of a reader as a child, but I was definitely a bit obsessed with The Spiderwick Chronicles for a time and I used to play in my backyard and pretend there was a hidden world of faeries living there.
When did you first start...

MM romance with erotica, but all queer books can pour to me! I like my books with a good load of spice.

3. What is the first book you remember reading?

A kid’s book about a dolphin. I couldn’t read properly in French yet, so I remember mostly the pictures and me trying to read the words.

Interview:

1.      Paperback, hardback, audiobook?

Hardbacks look great on the shelf, but I always opt for the paperback. I’m also a big e-reader.

2.      Pick a genre, any genre!

Horror! That’s always been my first genre of choice. History is the second, and nothing informs horror more than history. Folklore/paranormal is the third, I love the stories. That said, I also try to read a little of everything.

3.      What is th...

Author Interview: Dan McKeon

Be sure to check out my review of Wonder Rush by Dan McKeon!

Interview:

1. Paperback, hardback, audiobook?

I prefer hardcover books. They feel more substantial in my hands and give the story a certain gravitas. I also like eBooks because I read them on my phone, and I always have my phone on me. So, I can always read something wherever I am. eBooks are also great for reading in the dark.

2. Pick a genre, any genre!

I prefer to read and write thrillers. I use that term in a bro...

2. Pick a genre, any genre!

If I could only read one genre for the rest of my life, it would be fantasy.

3. What is the first book you remember reading?

The Pokey Little Puppy (Little Golden Books edition).
