February is a month filled with love, and coincidently so is Out the Penalty Box . Yes, it’s about hockey and sports, but mostly, it’s also about love. More importantly, it about unconditional, all-consuming love that is found once in a lifetime. So, post a selfie showing some love to Out of the Penalty Box . This can be done by taking a photo with my book cover, creating a piece of fan art, posting a love letter addressed from one of the characters in the book to another, dressing up as one of the characters, designing a jpeg image, or any other creative way you can think of. It is getting closer. The players are all in the locker room, chattering up a storm and ready to burst onto the literary ice for their big game on February 3. They are all lacing their skates, tugging on their jerseys, and securing their pads into place while anxiously awaiting to make their entrance into the area.

It’s the eve of the National Playoffs. They’ve worked all year for this. This is their lives, their passions. They will give it their all and spare nothing to entertain the crowd that has gathered to see them. They await to entertain and are rewarded by the cheers of their fans. Failure is not an option. If they are knocked down, they will rise.

The Saint Anne Civets have eight championships, but they are eager for one more. The truth is, they love trophies. They are invigorated by victory. This is what they live for. And this is what they are willing to die for.
