New Years Resolutions!
It’s the New Year and time once again to make our annual New Year’s Resolution. Now I know what you’re thinking, there’s no point in making promises you don’t intend to keep, but what I would like to do this year, instead of calling it a New Year’s Resolution, I’m going to call it a New Year’s theme. I like themes instead because it encompasses lots of goals you can achieve. For example, my theme this year is all about reading. I’m not a strong reader, but I’m going to change that. So this ye...

The Fun Part is Finally Here
Now that editing, formatting, and the holidays are winding down I can start focusing on my favorite part of publishing, the launch party! I love planning parties and hosting events, but like everything I’ve encountering during this book writing process, there are challenges. Thankfully I have plenty of resources at my fingertips and turns out you can have your launch party anyway want it. It’s like the Burger King of the publishing world, at least that’s how I see it.
Now you’re probably wond...

Happy Holidays!
I’d like to wish everyone a Happy Holidays!
As the year comes to a close I’m working diligently, or at least trying too, to finish my draft. It’ll be a lot of work from here to submission time, but I’m not giving up. Thanks for following my blog, see you next year.
Best wishes, hugs and kisses

From the Mind #1 – Chasm
There are women with children, young people and old, people in suits, and people in uniforms all gathered in this place. Families of four, families of ten, there are so many people here I can’t even count. On both sides they’re gathered, standing, looking over the edge. It’s so deep and black. It’s not like a trench in the ocean or a canyon in the desert. It’s fate, its change, the destruction of your comfort zone. It’s dark and intimidating, stretching for miles. It divides A and B, but neit...

Closing Thoughts on Nano and Updates
I’M ALIVE!
Yes, let me reiterate, this is not an abandoned blog. I’ve just been really busy working on finishing up OtCC, but I hope everyone had an awesome NaNoWriMo, whether you finished or not, the most important part is that you tried. This year I did not participate like I wanted, but served as a cheerful cheerleader to my fellow WriMos. It warms my heart to see so many people writing and I hope those who participated enjoying the challenge.
What’s next?
That’s a good question. Despite w...

My Emily
Let me tell you about my cat,
My dearest friend, my Emily.
I adore her, with big her green eyes and striped fur.
I love how she kneads and I love how she purrs,
But tragedy follows where ever she goes.
The first guy, it was tragic what happened to him,
He died in a fire alone in his home. The next in an accident on Ackles & Main
And the last in a park on a sunny day and those are a few that I can recall.
I know this because she tells me it all,
With a warning every d...

Updates! Updates! Updates!
First, let me apologize for my lack of activity these past two weeks. Life decided to stop by and bring all of its friends and they’re a crazy bunch to entertain. So with that being said I have a few announcements to make. This year I will not be participating in NaNoWriMo. I need this time to finish my novel and doing NaNo would take away from that. I will, however, be rooting for all the participants of NaNo. It’s truly an amazing challenge and I would encourage all who have the time to par...

There’s No Wrong Way to NaNo
[image error]
It’s November 1st, day one of NaNoWriMo, I have my story freshly plotted out and outlined. I’ve been waiting all year to participate in NaNo, after the success of my first year. I feel more confident now, ready to write, but November drags on and before I know it it’s November 3rd and I have 500 words on the page. I’ve hit a wall, I don’t know what’s wrong with me. The words aren’t falling onto the page like they usually do and I’m falling behind day by day. So I’m stuck and in a dilemma; p...
