Congratulations! You’re Writing Multiples!

Over the past few months, I’ve been working on drafting the remaining books in my Curious Tails series. Now if you thought writing one book from start to finish was hard, then I’ve got news for you, writing more books is just as hard. Okay, so that was a loaded sentence. I’m not trying to discourage anyone, but real talk producing books is hard. I thought it would get a little easier since I’m familiar with the series and the characters, but I’m starting to realize that each book will come wi...

A Review of The Savior’s Champion by Jenna Moreci

The Savior’s Champion is about a man named Tobias who enters a tournament to win money for his struggling family. No stranger to the dangers of the tournament, he enters anyway and quickly finds that he is way in over his head.  After all this isn’t just any normal competition, this is the competition that will decide the next ruler of his realm.

Wow, let me just start off by saying wow. I had no expectations for this book, as I don’t read much and am still feeling my way around which genres...

A Review of Another Shot and Falling Apart by Riley Long

It’s rare that I do two book reviews in one post, but both books were short but amazing, so I’m treating yawl to double the fun in one review!

Both books are stand alones, so I think I’ll start with…

Another Shot

Another Shot is a short, but sweet love story about a guy named Ben, who on the eve of his thirtieth birthday, finds himself single when his boyfriend breaks up with him. Feeling as though he is starting the decade off terrible, Ben runs into his ex, Ian, who is now a stripper and wh...

Updates! Updates! Updates!

Hi all, hope you’re having a great sprin-ter since the seasons are lingering a bit longer than normal.

I’ve been busy working on the next books in my Curious Tails series. As some of you may know, Ouji the Curious Cat will be turning into a series. Currently, I have four more books planned, and I’m excited to announce that I have completed draft one of book two in the series. My plan is to publish this next book, tentatively titled Lily’s Unexpected Adventure, sometime next year, either in th...

Spa Day

Earlier this month one of my best friends treated me and some of my other friends to a spa day. I’d never been to a spa before, and I was thinking it was going to be all white robes, facial mask, and mud dips. Not that I was far off, but it definitely wasn’t the experience I was expecting, but it was…fun.

The spa was a Korean spa, and I was told that parts, if not all, were nude. Yes nude, as in cooters and balls nude. I’d never been completely nude in public before, but my girls were going t...

A Review of Keeper by Kim Chance

Keeper follows high school senior Lainey Styles, your average teenage girl, whose smart and studious and dreams of going off to college. Things take a turn for the worse when a mysterious witch attacks her, leaving her with more than just a mark.

Going into this book I had little to no expectations, as I don’t read much YA fiction, but after finishing, I’m dying to read more. Lainey Styles is your average teenage girl, but the events that happen to her turn her life completely upside down. I...

Midnight Thoughts: Editors, It Takes Two Baby

In re-reading my finished and unfinished stories, I can’t help but notice how important hiring different types of editors are. One, where would I be without a good content editor? I know I would not have arrived at certain parts with beta readers and my eyes alone. I just smile as I re-read and recognize parts where I originally went a different path but was steered clear by my content editor. Two, where on Earth would I be without a copy editor! And this is a big one, I cannot spell for shit...

A Review of We Are Legion by Dennis E. Taylor

We Are Legion is a page-turning science fiction novel about software developer Bob Johansson, who at the start of his retirement dies and wakes up centuries later as a digital slave in a turbulent world. The author, Dennis E. Taylor, does a good job of mixing hard science and fiction in his space traveling adventure series and once you’ve finished the first book, you’ll be itching to read the next.

After reading the blurb, I can say that I was not disappointed. The author does a very good job...

Cosplaying Under $400???

Characters: Left to right, Inuyasha and Sesshomaru(me)
Show: Inuyasha

A few months ago, I came up with this crazy idea while I was planning for the last cosplay I wanted to do. I’m not quitting cosplay, but because life costs money, and so does cosplay. So I needed this one to go out with a bang before my cosplay hiatus. Having no idea what I wanted to do, I looked back on my childhood and thought “wouldn’t it be cool if I cosplayed such and such” and “...
